Clarence Clemons was the sax player in Springsteen’s band for decades. He and Bruce were best friends, and they truly loved eachother. They would kiss eachother in every show.
Emily, there is no one that puts on a show better than The Boss, he's legendary for live shows, I have seen him over 15 times and never, never felt disappointed. I know you cant react to his "Light of Day..Live from NYC" but please do me and yourself a favor and watch it for yourself to see what I mean and this is 20 years on but he still delivers the goods. I would love you to do that and let me know what you think. Thanks..Love the way you got right into this video, great to see you enjoying yourself.
Yep, back in the day, when the concerts would reach fever pitch and sweat was flowing, sometimes Bruce and Clarence would do a mouth soul kiss. Incredibly masculine, in my opinion, being able to just give in to the utter joy and energy of the moment and sharing it with your lifelong best friend like that. They had a connection that was just genuine magic. A decade apart in age, one enormous and the other tiny (yes he's buff but he's actually very short), and across race. Watch their super bowl performance from 2009...it opens with them back to back silhouetted....that image was probably one of the most iconic images in the history of rock and roll.
Emily with reference to your comment at 7:47, the main footage was shot in broadcast standard and is from a US show, but all of the shots from the stage showing the crowds were not broadcast standard as they were only recorded for reference and taken from the European leg of the 1985 Born in the USA tour. You can see the difference in quality. I was the onstage cameraman for the European leg and can still remember which stadiums feature in each shot. Fantastic month on the road on stage for 15 shows.
Three and a half to four hours a night, every damned night and left it ALL on the stage every night. That was the legacy of Bruce and the E Street Band.
Bruce "the boss" Springsteen loved himself some Clarence "the big man" Clemons (the sax player). They had a true bro-mance. RIP Clarence 🌹 Bruce eventually married Patti (the girl in the band). Check out I'm On Fire and (my favorite) Hungry Heart 🎶🎵 Keep up the positivity 💚
I think I saw your reaction to him in We Are The World and you stopped everything and said "Who is That?" The Boss. That's who he is. He sings gritty ballads as well as amazing rock. Keep going !
I'm so happy to have this platform, so young people have an opportunity to be exposed to great, REAL, music. It's over, kids. The end of the century marks the end of the Golden Age of film, music and life, as in real life. This is in Billboards top 500 records, in the rock genre. I lived during the greatest time, and it is not lost on me. Great reaction.
I saw Springsteen about 5 years ago. So old Springsteen. So not as much energy and it was still the best most energetic concert I've ever been too. He fucking rode the audience. I mean, they crowd surfed his ass across the audience. He was fucking amazing.
Yo. Ive only seen two of your vids. USA for Africa and this one. :) I saw your reaction to Bruce Springsteen .....WHO IS THAAAAT!? So glad you found out. He is THE BOSS.
I am just seeing a few reaction reviews posts about Springsteen from people I would not expect to have interest in him !!!! Thank you for your time and effort !!!!
I could suggest at least 20 classic Springsteen songs easily. How about Tenth Avenue Freeze Out from Live in NYC 2000. Official Vid. You have to, just have ro. IMO the greatest Live artist ever. I've seen him live 27 times a d I know
If you want a fun pop song then listen to Dancing In The Dark. (this song was when they put him on We Are The World ) You can't go wrong with almost any video you can find of Bruce!!!
I'm going to suggest you try "I ain't marchin anymore" by Phil Ochs. There's a great live performance - two on youtube, but choose the one with the best audio.
Emily, you're a cutie pie, and I love your enthusiasm. Awesome reaction video. Delve deeper and react to Thunder Road at Hammersmith and Point Blank just to name two.
I thought it was like a responsobility for Americans to know who "the boss" is. He's like the most american person ever lol

Pure joy. Bruce leaves it ALL on the stage! You need some more of his live stuff for real.

Don't you ever change girl,you're a natural.
Great reaction. I was fortunate enough to see Bruce in the early 80's. Every show had this level of intensity.

Saw him at Leeds on that tour. What a show. From memory he was onstage for four hours and he never let up
You'd also love his song Rosalita. A total roller coaster jam.
As for a more mellow Bruce song, maybe try Brilliant Disguise.
Three and a half to four hours a night, every damned night and left it ALL on the stage every night. That was the legacy of Bruce and the E Street Band.
Born in the USA will expose you to the best of his talent and passion - the lyrics are social commentary in his unique style.

Emily you are adorable. I love your enthusiasm. BTW, Bruce is called THE BOSS by his legends of fans. Listen to his song "Thunder Road".
Joy of Life Personified......
Born In The USA by Bruce is the song you are looking for 😎
Great choice Emily. Fabulous reaction. Thanks.
Love Springstein - I'm on Fire , Streets of Philadelphia & dancing in the dark are 3 of my favs
I think I saw your reaction to him in We Are The World and you stopped everything and said "Who is That?" The Boss. That's who he is. He sings gritty ballads as well as amazing rock. Keep going !
The red-headed woman you see sometimes in the video is his wife for the last 30 years.
Ohhh, you should do Thunder Road, and make sure you have the lyrics. And probably Dancing In The Dark, just for the good vibes :)
Check out Springsteen‘s „Detroit Medley“ from Tempe Live 1980.
"The vibes were there!"
Yes they were 😁
Drive All Night has great vocals - so does Something In The Night
Amazing Bruce !! He is a legend.
You got me . Go for it
Great reaction! "Jungleland" is a must. "Rosalita", "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out", "Badlands", "Dancing In The Dark," "Thunder Road" - you can't go wrong!
Clarence Clemons (RIP) was his sax player and a LEGEND. The redhead in the band is Bruce’s wife Patti.

Im a closet Springsteen fan. Prob seen him ten times. Out of over a hundred artists, he was one of the few that sent you home satisfied.
Clarence, on sax was Bruce's best friend, it's sad you've never heard of the boss, concerts went on forever. RIP Clarence.
Great reaction.. More Bruce..
"light of day" live in NYC.. Thanks!

Love your channel. Listen to his 20th album with the E Street band - Letter to You from 2020. He's still rocking at 72. Stay positive.
