Can you do overlord Kill count pls
Dead Meat I just want to say your doing a very great job.And I think that you should do a kill count on the lake placid movies.
It’s my birthday today thanks James for this
My headcanon is that Alex was so super cautious and kept avoiding death so much that Death lost it's patience and just lobbed a brick at Alex in frustration.
Death used that brick like Craig did in 'Friday'
Lol that’s pretty funny.
“Fuck it, BRICK…. Why did that work?”
he was trying to set up traps left and right to go out with style, but he got so angry he chose the barbaric approach.
@@Ink_Fazkitty he went full caveman
"I am gonna kill myself first before Death Gets to me"

Fuunny is that Death saved his life only because She wanted to kill him, but later.
i Rahat lmfao
What if he just took a knife and plunged it into his body before it was his turn to die? Would Death conjure a force field to stop him? It just seems to me that Death can really break the laws of science and physics in these movies.
@@stephenking5852 i guess if it can stop a bullet from being shot, death can do anything
Hmm ... Imagine if Death planned him to kill himself
Fun fact, the very first day I had my driver's licence I drove a couple of friends to the cinema and we ended up watching this. The drive back on the highway was terrifying.
LOL i can imagine 😂 it’s funny that you have this story now. i love it
Similar experience just with the first one and a few years later. A class trip to Spain, a plane crash a year before, and me being terrified of flying even before watching the first one the night before the flight. I'm sorry for whoever hand I almost broke, and also thankful for the person who sat next to me because I was losing it.
Imagine if there was a logging truck in front of you on the way back
For just you or everyone?
Tim was actually originally envisioned to be about 6 or 7 years old however no one was willing to kill a literal kid especially so graphically and so they decided to change his age to 13 and later 15. this explain why he still has some more child like characteristics and why he ran at the pigeons like a small child would.
@@miresa2968 yeah, last I checked, a baby was run down by a big truck in Pet Semetary.

Tell It Animated Coincedence? I think not
After Kimberly “dies” for a moment, I just imagine Death yelling in a temper tantrum and kicks the Grill in absolute frustration because he can’t get these people to follow his plans. Basically just says “Fuck it! Grill go boom!”
I like the headcanon that Bloodworth IS Death, and his little nuggets of wisdom are because he wants to see if humans can actually beat his design
I prefer the theory that Bloodworth is Fate trying to save them and that he gave them the premonition and he is doing it to mess with Death
ah, the duality of man
That would be pretty cool but if you look on the wiki the producers confirmed that he’s not Death. He just knows an eerie amount of info about how it and its design works.
@jonporter7709 maybe death is his brother and he has to mess with him
I like to think Bloodworth is the Mac Daddy (Grim Reaper) himself. But apparently we’re getting a new movie delving into his backstory
“It’s a boy!”
“A W H A T?”
“I T ’ S A B O Y!”
I love James’ editing.

That firefighter absolutely murdered her. We're trained to be as gentle as possible on accidents with entrapment, especially with non-jettisoned airbags. Pure negligence and douchebaggery.
Actually a piss-poor airbag safety system killed her; I've seen accidents multiple times where side airbags or front airbags should have deployed, by all reasonable means. But, especially in older vehicles, they don't deploy in a rational way. The airbag shouldn't have gone off like that, even from jaws of life.
I think she just kinda killed herself because instead of leaning on the side of the sharpened pipe she leaned forward towards the air bag thus it blowing up and pushing her head straight into the sharpened pipe

Gacha Maya18 every day alive is a day spent avoiding death. Like you could have had a heart attack today or got cancer but you didn’t. You could have gotten in a car crash or trip down the stairs, but you didn’t. This movie is flawed because everyone is avoiding death all the time by just being alive. Treating the flu is avoiding death. Thoroughly cooking your food is avoiding death. Washing your hands is avoiding death
I find it an hilarious concept that if you can somehow manage to dodge death, he takes it *personally.*

It began in earnest before this with stuff like Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but definitely ramped up with the Final Destination episodes!
Can we all appreciate just how petty Death is in this movies?
Eugene: I'll kill myself before Death comes to get me!!

This was by far the best one in the series. Followed maybe by 5, mostly because of how it tied up everything so nicely at the end.

Sure the news crew would have run Brian over had Rory not been there to save him.
But had Kat died in that gas leak she would not have crashed and needed saving. So the News crew would not be there to run Brian over.
Maybe he was supposed to die in a different way, but because of the survivors death had to rewrite a smidge
Death, is known to do that in this series
Death is a back-up planning multitasking little schemer XD
There's little clues in the background that he also survived a fire in which the other survivors also died that's hinted might have been another premonition event but they're so subtle and easy to miss that most people never realize I didn't until I watched a things you missed video
The generational trauma from this movie is so fucking real.
I remember driving on a family holiday with my mum and dad, and I started screaming in absolute terror for them to move out of the lane that had a log truck in. Like, I was hysterical about it to the point where they had to pull over and calm me down. This movie was a better PSA on safe driving than any other form of media.

I read that Tim was actually supposed to be a little boy, but was aged up because of his gruesome death.
I checked out both IMDb and TV Tropes for this and it's true- IMDb mentioned that Tim was going to be nine years old, while TV Tropes mentioned that he was going to be between 5-7, but both verified that his age be changed to being a teenager due to how gruesome his death scene is.
So that’s. Why he acts so dumb
That would have been fucking horrifying and awesome, but yeah, trying to get that approved would be too much of a nightmare for the film company when they could just cast someone older.
Tim also played a kid in the airport in the original Final Destination and he played Ronny Drake - little brother to Ice Man in X2- Xmen United who calls the cops on his brother, Wolverine, Rogue, and Pyro when they show up as refugees.
Makes sense.
The connections between all the survivors is actually insane
Weirdo
Believe it or not, Rory is my favorite character in the whole franchise. Other than the dog shit shoe thing he seems like a really genuine dude who made some mistakes in life. A lot of his weirder behavior can also be explained away by the fact that he’s on drugs the whole movie
that dogshit shoe thing felt so out of nowhere. to be fair this movie is full of weird things that lead to nothing but that scene makes a character we should like into a clueless idiot that can't get social cues, like why do that? I get the show being stuck in the elevator bumpers foreshadow but why make Roary into an Adam Sandlet character for no reason? as I've said this filme is full of scenes that have weird shit in them and lead to nothing but this one is the only one that kinda ruins a character for the sake of comedy (? I guess?) the other ones are just random characters doing weird shit but Roary is the only one that has a scene like that in the main cast aside from the "kid" making the joke about pedophilic sexual abuse but that character was really nothing anyways, Roary is actually likeable for most of his scenes
True. And the moment it set in he wasn't gonna survive he begged the girl to get rid of all things that would break his mom's heart. He knew he was gonna die, and didn't want even more heartbreak on his mother after his death. He was one of the most realistic I feel. He had troubles in life leading to drug use. But he was still a good guy and tried his best. Another character in the franchise who felt realistic was the security guard in the fourth movie. Recovering alcoholic, lost his wife and daughter to his own mistakes. I like when movie writers add actual depth to a character.
He's my favourite as well!
@@theoneeyedartist3253 I like most of the character of this movie, Evan was and idiot, but he die first, Eugene was in denial but he was ok, I think they were different personalities, but the cast is one of the reason that this is my favorite,
Can we all just agree that Tony Todd's character is just death in human form, literally just threatening the people who managed to cheat him the first time?
Well, "tod" means "death" in german if i'm not mistaken... Coincidence?

@@aem9691 Oh. Sorry... In that case, you may actually be right... which just makes this better.
I think that was the original point but to keep things more vague and mysterious and keep his character interesting, they just have him as "The Coroner with a close contact to the dead that may or may not actually be Death itself"
:Ť
I am convinced this guy has a Tony Todd shrine in his room.
Bold of you to assume it can fit in his room
As we all should, tbh
I was obliged to come.
You have a Tony Todd shrine too, provided you have a mirror in your room :3
I would too, but my siblings were jerks when I was a kid. Even though Candyman scared the poo out of me, it doesn't help when your older brother comes in your room and starts the Candyman chant in your mirror while your older sister is hiding under your bed and grabs your leg.
I think that Eugene, had a realistic reaction. A man who conveniently believes until it requires actual action? That's totally believable.

@@yomama12546 I was scared shitless long before I saw the movie just from my mom telling me about it
I (accidentally) saw this movie at my uncle's house when I was about 5, and the elevator scene and the kid at the end with the grill have literally stuck with me ever since. Apparently a few days after I saw it I walked into my mom's room to watch tv with her, and upon being told I couldn't because it was an adult movie, 5-year-old me glances at the tv and goes "Oh, I've seen that. The lady gets her head cut off in the elevator." and just walked out 😅
I love how excited James gets about practical effects
23:42 I love how death was doing kills so elaborately, but when he gets to Brian he's like "Fuck it" and blows up the grill
Fr, like how often do grills just... explode
I like to imagine that death just got more aggressive because his original design kept getting fucked up
@@joem.5536 Thats also a common theory on why Alex Browning was killed with a Brick. He was hypercautious to the extent he could see Death's elaborate traps coming every time, so death just decided "f*ck it, projectile brick"
Fun fact, it's briefly mentioned but Brian was involved in another Premonition phenomenon.

Not to mention, the news truck only showed up due to the crash. According to deaths original plan, the people who caused the crash would be dead. So in deaths original plan, there is no crash and no news truck to hit Brian. It's my headcannon he killed the dude cause he was pissed at losing his other 2 victims.

Like honestly why would you make fun of a homeless person? It’s just wrong
One thing that i think its a shame you neglected to mention is that almost every death that takes place in this film happens specifically and explicitly because of the intervention of the main characters. The kid only gets crushed because of main character chick screaming about birds, the mom only dies because they warn her about the man with hooks, eugene only dies because clear checks on him.
You know I've always felt sad for Tim and his mom, their death always hit way way too close to home since me and my mom had almost had a wreck a few years before I'd watch the movie and as such always make me feel legit sympathy and sadness to them.

Why did he put that in? Just for fun? Hahahaha

A cool little thing is that when they're driving at the start, Highway to Hell by ACDC is playing
I'm surprised that James didn't point out the word "eye" is spelled out on the refrigerator right before Evan's death.
I love spooky, almost cryptic foreshadowing like that in horror movies.
Evan also bought an EYE Mac 😉
4 real it's like right there 👀
Oh fuck I never even noticed that good fucking eye ;)
I know and I was hoping he would say that
You know james really likes the movie if he gives you a lot of background on the kills and the directors and stuff
Hoes Ville He should honestly lose the blood censorship. Kids don't watch video kill counts to not see the kills.
Dhrubo11 I think he has to do it to keep it up on UA-cam and monetized
He's doing it so,it isn't she restricted.
@@livefromred9605 he needs to make money you know
Except he needs to pronounce names properly...clear is pronounced Claire... >.
in defense of his mom tucking the fifteen year old in, they literally just avoided a fatal pileup she was making sure he wasn't shell shocked.
The first time I saw the final kill I laughed SO hard. 🤣 lol I think I had thought the movie was going to have a “happily ever after” type of ending and then BOOM! 🤣
"Things are gonna get a whole lot worse in the next two movies."
Yes. Yes they do.
3 is better than 4 tho
But i personally think they make it up by doing #5 because #5 is hands down the best
3 is actually really good, tonally it's a bit off and definitely too much of a victim of its era, but it's got better characterasation than 2 and arguably some of the best kills of the franchise, 3 is great
i cant wait for him to deal with that bridge collapse scene
@@PickyPaige THANK GOD IM NOT ALONE. They called me a madman...
FunFact: The highway they filmed the huge premonition crash in.
Is the same highway that they filmed in the 2020 Sonic The Hedgehog film.
that explains why that movie looks like a disaster :v

So, a prequel
Every time I see a wood truck I always get out of the way or turn around 😂 I really don’t know why but this movie has scarred me since I was a kid
This movie is proof practical effects will never be topped
I’d say out of all the Final Destinations, the initial premonition of this movie is my favorite. Maybe because it feels a bit more realistic than most of the others (probably partially due to the awesome practical effects).
I agree and the canera work with acting woe
me too! i love this one so much, sadly i have all of the movies but i lost this one. :(
Since seeing the Final Destination series, I have gotten on a plane, a roller coaster, been in a weight room, a tanning salon, and a gone to the fair.
What I have refused to do, without exception, is drive behind a truck carrying logs.
I like The premonition of part 5
@@jprobinson6242 lol my sister mentioned this the other day. We were on the highway and saw a truck with logs and she pulls off onto the side of the road to wait til it was out of site. After over ten years since watching this she mentions this movie 😅😅 i had forgot all about it
I mean, with final destination logic, Alex’s death could’ve been a flying Mars bar flipping a lorry into a building, the brick flies 5 miles and lands on his roof, only falling off when he walks outside.
Danish Llama I like to think of it as death just chucking a brick at him in a final attempt to kill him.
And it god damn worked.

I love how you give details about how they create all these kills. It's fascinating to see all the clever ways they create this
I just realized for the first time after watching this movie so many times, the clock above the tv in the opening scene says 1:08 which is an anagram for 180. The smallest details that film crew go to is truly outstanding.
