I ordered a 2024 Yamaha WR450F and ordered the competition ECU so I can also program it with a smart phone. I will be uncorking it right away to. The reason I went with the WR is I will be making it street legal so I can get from trail to trail. The FX is too big of a pain to try and make street legal. No headlight and taillight, no speedometer and doesn't put out enough electrical juice to run these things and the WR already has the radiator fan stock. The WR just works better for me.
@@leec48s45 Thats a lot better now you can run more accessories on the FX but I still need the lights and speedometer for my trail riding. Thanks for the information.
I don't understand the adjustments guys say they do with the cable clutches...especially multiple times while on the trail.. I put 80 hours on my fx that I had and never adjusted the clutch once..
I want to try Woods racing on a dirtbike I feel like the YZ250FX over the 450FX I am a 192 pounds I ride a ATV with a 450 but I feel like I dont really need a 450 for woods racing I want to get a Yamaha soon
I have the 23 yz450fx. I trail ride the east side of usa. Mostly Kentucky and West Virginia, and in WV you are allowed to ride on the road between trails. This bike handles trails and the road well. The only 2 things I did to mine was the fan, and a throttle tamer. Personally I think the fan should be on it from the factory because it will get hot on the slow stuff. And the throttle tamer completely changed its manners on the slow stuff, it feels like a 350 till about 1/2 throttle then all 450 power. The tamer really took the twitch feeling at low speed away, best 70 bucks I ever spent. I get about 70 miles on a tank of gas, but tires go quick. And because I am not a pro rider it will last for a long time.
I like Honda better than I like Yamaha I like Suzuki better than I like Yamaha I like Kawasaki better than I like Yamaha I like all the big better than Yamaha I do not lake the blue but it’s OK
Excellent review and footage. Best I have seen so far.

I looked up the stator part numbers and they are the same this year between tge WR and FX.

Mine is due in any day. Ordered it in August of 23’. Good thing, I did that when I did. The dealer is only getting one.
wtf is going on with Yamaha supply issues? Ridiculous.
1 ????????????????????????????
wonderful!
This season I will be riding the 2024 YZ450FX.
Yamaha has stepped up their game big time with the tune ability of these bikes
Another great video, will you be riding the WR250F
My 17 RMX has been great and everything but this is exciting!

Looks like the 250 didn’t get those updates?
Next year.
Good stuff..
I need one
How hard is it to turn a standart 450f in a x version? Unfortunately we dont have the x versions here in europe
Gearbox would be the biggest and hardest thing to change. FX has the same gear box as WR
Imagine if they built a 350FX
Use the tuner and dial it back
@@stephenbrown3760 Can't tune inertia out of the rotating assembly.
They’d sell every 350 they made. I don’t understand why they don’t make a 350.
Add a YZ300X to the wishlist...
@@Zen_Garagelook at Fantic bikes. That’s exactly what you’re talking about

They need 3 maps for a full power. I want to be able to play around on full piwer mode and hit the mx track every now and then

Yamaha just needs to come out with a 350 already
We heard a rumor that a while back they were considering it. This was early on when KTM had made theirs. No talk of it since
Put Grahm Jarvis on that thing
Look at that freshy
Why don’t you make Yamaha pink it would look better

I like all the bikes better than Yamaha because they’re not yellow anymore they will never be yellow again
It’s time to go back to the drawing board with that bike
