Welcome to Star Wars™: The Deckbuilding Game! This new head-to-head game for two players brings the galaxy-spanning war between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance to your tabletop. In this easy-to-learn game, you and your opponent each choose a side, playing as either the Empire or the Rebels, and as the game progresses you both strengthen the power of your starting decks and work to destroy each other’s bases. Played two games last night. Very fun quick game.
Super! I think it's a great game. Lots of room for expansion without being a money pit.
I'd love to see more interaction with opponents decks - rebels sliding into the empires hand to place cards or do things.
You think the box still fits the cards when sleeved? That's still using the black insert too....
Let me put them in some this afternoon. I think it would be close.
I'm really curious to see just how similar to Star Realms this is. It seems very similar with a few added complexities.
I've never played it so I am totally unsure. At this stage - what board game doesn't cite various references to working mechanics?

On SW LCGs, FFG actually did one years back. Should look into it if it's something you want out of the SW licence. Not made any more but good fun.
Yeah, totally. It would be nice if they re did it with all the learnings from Arkham and lord of the rings!

I believe it's March for the world; FFG did say that "somewhere". In discord someone did mention first week for UK so maybe all of EU too? Fingers crossed for you.

There no resources pool? I mean you have to discard all your resources at the end of your turn?
Yeah! So you gotta balance resource generation versus new cards.
All capital ships in play under control generate resources so that helps!
Many characters are still missing. A potential for extensions, maybe?
With the amount of empty space in that box and the way FFG does things, I'd say expansions are inevitable. How long it will take is anyone's guess after looking at Outer Rim and its expansion.
I believe Caleb did say it’s designed to be stand alone but maybe a pack or two. Nothing like an LCG though
does this really need to be 33 minutes?
Well, I speak fast enough but I go through all the cards pretty succinctly. I have 90 seconds on how I store it and there’s over 120 cards so it’s pretty tight. Let me know what you think I should
