- Quilting has a massive historical aspect and Jordan Fabrics has successfully made it one of the best hobbies there is.
Jordan Fabrics is a cozy family-type vlog that concentrates on the art of quilting. They had a very modest beginning and it is refreshing to see how far they have come.
The channel is a perfect blend of patience and endurance.
When I watch their videos I get the ambiance of a warm charming lady making her way through the little empire they’ve created out of their sole passion.
They certainly do have a gift and a passion for it as they teach us about the value of doing what we love and successfully turning it into a great business. Donna Jordan is a great host and a very well established entrepreneur, a businesswoman, and a very thoughtful content creator.
But when we say business we get the notion that they might be doing it for profit and we will never know but from my point of view on a worldwide platform like UA-cam people call them fake and low quality. So today let's see how much of it's true.
I have been interested in quilting and I have been following them closely trying to learn about different patterns and innovative designs. I respect them as they have come from a garage to a booking business.
So to understand this I am sure that no one can be immaculate and there might be some negative parts too and some of the comments here and there that talked about the authenticity of their online persona.
A TripAdvisor posted, “This place is so disorganized. Shipping takes forever at least a month. You get ignored. They think more highly of themselves than they are. Here for fame and not customers.”
Looking at this comment, it comes from a business perspective, and even though it cannot be ignored there is something that is out of hand.
Matt's workshop is a vibrant work area and they make everything by hand. Everything is handmade and that is indeed a tight schedule. This shows the dedication the family has when it comes to their craft. Their videos showcase their stores and the workshop looks very busy. To talk about being ignored well during peak hours and a busy day. That is bound to happen and with Donna also trying her best to expand her reach and so it can be a daunting task to handle that much stress and so there could be minor
On a busy day, not every customer gets the attention they need.
Then comes the part where “they think more highly of themselves than what they really are.”
Well, they built a whole empire on something that people don’t even think about much and they deserve to be that but from what I have experienced they are some of the most humble people I have ever met.
The family takes time to oversee everything from stacking to every little detail.
Their work furniture is self-made from plywood and repository racks underneath to make the workstation reliable with markings on it to ensure precise measurements. The workshop itself is enormous and it looks like it was carefully built to make everything easy. The proficient arrangements from the ironing section to the shrink wrap device everything just stand out. From zip lock to a shrink-wrap everything is so thought out and calculated you would be surprised.
Well, that is what 40 years can get you, I am sure that they have succeeded in mastering the art and everything they offer is top-notch.
I am sure if you create something like that you would be proud too.
With all of this, I believe that they are some of the most genuine and humble people who aren’t worried about money but are just providing great value to their community by doing what they love.
Hand-cut fabrics with pre-cuts, Donna also admits that she reads quilting books and she gets a lot of pattern ideas from these books.
The family is as honest and transparent as a business can get and they motivate me every day to get up and start doing what I love.

Definitely one of the best quilting channels on here. Been watching them for years, since the beginning. I love that she always presents new patterns, ones they sell and ones that she designs and gives away for free, and shows how to use them in a way that’s best for each quilters style and desired outcome. She could easily sell the patterns that she designs but it’s easy to see their goal is to inspire more ppl to be interested in sewing so they make it as accessible as possible. Love them.
Jordan Fabrics is awesome. I have had them call me about an order where I ordered 4 yards of fabric and they did not have a full run but had two pieces equalling 4 yards. I thought that was top notch. Shipping is fast and well packaged. This is one of my favorite online fabric stores and I do buy a lot from them, patterns and fabric. One great You-Tube channel with matching online store.
I found Jordan Fabrics during Covid. Donna made me a much better quilter with her video’s. During Covid I made 48 quilts all with fabrics and patterns I bought from their store. Top quality fabric and I have never had a problem with an order. And if I did not understand something on a pattern, I would call and they would explain it to me.

WHAT who said that? No one works for free and the Jordans have taught so many the art of quilting. I was intimidated and overwhelmed by quilting but Donna’s style of teaching, smile and artistry has brought new creative meaning to my life. I have several loved one who have been blessed by the quilts I’ve made for them. My longarmer often brags on how quickly I’ve learned and improved. THANK YOU Jordan Family, I hope you make a $1,000,0000 because the gift of quilting you have shared with so many is priceless.

I have watched many of Donna;'s tutorials and have ordered many products from them. Their delivery has always been fast and accurate. The quality of their fabric is top notch!! Also, the fact that Donna offers lots of FREE patterns is a plus. Her teaching method is clear and concise. Matt does an outstanding job of cutting and packaging the kits. I'm proud to say I'm a loyal fan.

Yes Donna is a very good teacher her explanations are clear and precise and the fact you see her making the actual quilts up close you are able to pick up great tips especially the amount of times she irons and how important it is Donna rocks
To anyone who thinks Donna and Matt are phony, just don't watch them!! Obviously, Jordan Fabrics is well received by thousands who value Donna's tutorials.
Everything about Jordan Fabrics is perfect. I've learned so much from Donna. I order most of my fabric from them. They have great customer service (they answer their emails personally). I love Matt's cuts and his 'grab' bags. They have great sales. I've been able to build my stash without breaking the bank.
I love this channel. She makes it easy to learn to quilt.
I will endorse all of the above , brilliant tutorials and easy to follow instructions every time. Donna and family have their hearts and souls in the business they have made. I have ordered on occasion and the delivery has taken some time to arrive but then I do live in another country ! so that is to be expected perhaps the naysayers should take up the hobby themselves!! I am not sure I agree with many of the comments presented. I have ordered many items over the years since discovery of quilting and Donna's demos. First of all, It has never taken more than 3 or 4 days to ship. Everything has been top notch. As for Donna making a Demo quilt, I agree she rushes and some times corners might not line up all the time, but you always get the message. No, I think the trolls are jealous. The whole operation is top notch.
I have had only the best service when I’ve ordered from them. Donna’s tutorials are really good. No unnecessary chatter. I rank her right up there with Jenny Doan at Missouri Star. Both are excellent teachers.

I am piecing together one of Jordan's pre-cut quilts now. I have loved doing it. I have greatly improved accuracy in creating perfect point and matching seams.

Nevermind the peanut gallery! I Went to Jordan Fabrics, unfortunately you can’t go in, only online sales. I do love watching their youtube channel. Grants Pass is a great place if you have the means. It is surrounded by cartel cannabis growers and rural tweakers.
Matt & Donna are great! Shipping is quick. They are a mail order only store since Covid.
