This was the most informative video about smash books so far. I appreciate you explaining about the beads on the rings, and why you covered up the brad on the envelope, so it wouldnt cut into the other page. The doodles are great.

Like a previous commenter, I love the drawing, especially when you said you used to make them for your friends when in high school. I instantly thought of my daughter who also loves to draw and though she's only 6, I hope that when she's in h.s., she'll love to do those kinds of things too (instead of all the other things I hear teens do these days!). Which made me realize that art/creativity are so important. Your video has inspired me to start a Smashbook, for my daughter and me!

Thanks for sharing your project! I'm really interested in handmade (rather than store-bought) as much as possible and you've given me several excellent ideas. The one about putting the beads on the rings is particularly good.

Wow again... you make this look so easy. i have a smash book but i can't ever figure out what to put in it or not. You gave me a bunch of ideas. I love the idea of adding the charms to the binding rings...so creative! The doodling really gives the pages a popping effect...love it.

OMG Neen, I love your smash book! I started working on a couple but got discouraged because I felt each one should have a theme, like my sons stuff my girls stuff then hubby and my stuff. But I love how yours is all together, now I'm going to rework mine. Thanks so much for sharing!

Such a great book you've made love it , just one queasy ion I have though , for anyone actually if they can help , how do you keep your receipts and tickets from fading , I've got a few in diary and they have just faded so fast I haven't stick them with anything there just loss , but they've turned into blank pieces of appear. Help :/ btw I love your use of colours :)

This comment is kinda old, but I don't know if you ever found out or not. They look like the rings that are sold at target/walmart/kmart with the school supplies to hold flash cards. They come in a lot of colors and sizes, too :)

Hey Hun, where did you get the rings?
is that a thermal receipt...like on a shiney paper? If so, you need to copy it and then print it out. otherwise it will fade and be blank in about 1-2 years
