Snells Beach First Tacking Session 191024

Today I decided to start learning to Tack, I used to tack my race board back in the 80's and 90's, but never carried it over to short board sailing.
Its a very useful transition to be able to do, especially when sailing Down the Line.
Not having done it for many years, I found myself fumbling and feeling like a learner again, but the hard work will pay off when I fine tune it. Looking forward to progressing it more.
I made it (barely) through 12 tacks, I was pretty happy with that!!
Snells Beach is very shallow, even at high tide so its a great place to learn things like this because you can work in waist deep water....I practiced some uphauling as well for good measure.....

Hard work, tacking is really difficult !! Hoping it will get easier from here on in....

What street do you rig and launch from at Snell's?

Sunburst Ave, theres a park there with a large grass area to rig up, plenty of parks, easy access...
