@@DwraichAfter Nov 2015, 500 and 1000 denominations were demonitized. New set of 500 denominations were released and 2000 denomination was introduced. And last year september even 2000 denomination was removed from circulation, equivalent to demonitization 2.0. Today highest denomination is 500. Next year we will be introducing a new law which will ban holding cash more than 500k (or 5 lakh) i.e. ALL money more than 5 lakh must be deposited in bank. If you hold cash more than 5 lakh, you can face charges.

The main objective of demonetisation in india was to make india economy a digital economy. Now we pay all of my money through online system rather than using Cash.
Transactions through UPI have increased the revenue.
India rose after demonization..Demonization was a big success in India..Digital India and India became a brand post Demonatization..Also Indian Government did this in a very disciplined manner so that demonization could be effective..and you can see the results😊

You have a wrong information. The 1000 rupees notes have been permanently stopped. Period given for exchange of notes was 51 days. The major problem was issue of new currency notes of 2000 denomination. Which is also discontinued now. The highest denomination available now is 500😮 only.
And shifting to digital economy
Corruption is eliminated by accountability. Which PAKISTAN 🇵🇰 doesn't have.

Demonetization in India didn't create much problem to poor and lower middle class and honest tax payer except a month shortage of currency. We had digital system. It helped to clean up system.
