R5 is a 6-key free-wiring scene remote controller that can be added to eWeLink-Remote gateway for local control.
Support 3 trigger actions: clicked, double-clicked and long-pressed. Up to18 scenes can be triggered by R5.
Different installation methods. You can stick R5 on the wall as a switch, or take it off as a remote controller.

I bought this switch and couldn't connect it for a long time. The instructions in the box and on the website are written disgustingly poorly. I've been using Sonoff products for about 3 years now, but I've never heard of a certain gateway. At first I thought it was zegbee, but it turned out it wasn’t. In the end, I found the information here, but even in the video it’s difficult to understand where and to which gateway the switch is connected. In the seller's product description it was written that the switch is connected using wifi. There was not a word about gateway. You can only manage products that have a gateway. Wi-Fi lamps, external sockets cannot be connected to it. in the end I had to use this switch to collect dust in the box where it is, I dont use it att all. It's a very poor description of the product, how it connects and what products it can control.
which Sonoff device can serve as a gateway for the R5 remote and what is the range?
why you dont show how to connect R5 to the gateway?
Does this need a gateway ? I use amazon echo as my bridge.
Hello I can not get this device to connect to my Sonoff iHost I have turned everything on and off a hundred times.
I’ve tried two R5 and it just will not connect!
Is this compatible with Sonoff ZBBRIDGE?
it isn't compatible with Sonoff zbbridge.
@@SONOFF Why aren’t your own devices compatible with each other? I also emailed you to find out what device I should buy instead, but no reply from you.
Can you control roller blinds with R5?
We haven't launched a roller shutter controller yet. So R5 can't control the roller blind.
@@SONOFF Is there any rough period where we can expext roller blin controller from Sonoff?
which devices has eWeLink-Remote gateway?
Hi, I need to control 4 different blind motors in a room, could I use this R5 along with a mini r3 as gateway to set scenes that allows me to control each 2 chanels of the 4 dual r3 controller? or is there any simplier way to do it?
Yes, it can be done.
It was very sad not to find it in Turkey.
You can buy it in our store😉, click here: 👉 bit.ly/3J8jCfK
Where is THE GATEWAY?!
The gateway in the video is SONOFF Switchman smart wall switch M5.
It's a great looking device and would work perfectly, but instead of doing it compatible to a gateway it's under another device, which makes it unstable for example for HA, it's not compatible with at least Alexa, so you're restricted to sonoff devices only due to this: I needed to go to the other T manufacturer which is something disappointing, because sonoff devices are usually more reliable.
Where did you get a remote from in the end?
I’ve bought two R5 and can’t get them to connect to Sonoff’s iHost even tho it is supposed to be compatible…. Ridiculous
@@heihvyegs I ended up going to MQTT with a sonoff dongle and devices that accepted MQTT, response is almost immediate since they stay local, now I try as much as I can to see if devices are MQTT compatible and buy them instead
@@heihvyegs I ended up going to ZigBee MQTT,I bought a sonoff ZigBee dongle and bought MQTT devices, to be honest, this is the best as they barely have any delay by being local
