We spent 3 nights in Mooloolaba, staying at Abode Hostel and we loved it! Mooloolaba isn't the most common stop off when people do the typical east coast trip but we thought we'd give it a whirl.
Mooloolaba is popular for families and you can see why - lovely beaches, play areas, restaurants and everything you need in a small footprint. It is still a nice place for younger people, so don't let it put you off trying it out! If you want some time-out from the hustle and bustle of city life then it's definitely a nice place to visit.
If you want to party to Fred Again or Bicep, then Mooloolaba ain't for you.
