Nice editing, amazing caravan and great video. Sorry I'm a Toyoya guy.
Thanks for watching and the feedback. And I’m not the least bit car brand tribal. People make their own choices. Our VLOG does of course feature our Zone and the Defender but it’s really about your travels and hopefully many of the shares apply more generally not always to our rig. Thanks again. I hope the episodes get better - noting we are on the road now and video in the moment so sometimes not quite broadcast quality!!
Hiya ZB413 here! Glad your doing your channel! The Noosa Habitat looks lovely have never heard of it! We did our shake down at Hanger O with a few other Zoners it was lovely. Then had to high tail it back to SA because the floods were starting.
Thanks so much. We're ZB 274. The HangarO handover innovation is a great idea from Zone. It wasn't a thing when we got our van and we wish it was. So Noosa Habitat was a great place for us as first timers. Hope you stayed dry in the floods. We were just at the Murray and quite a few homes went under. Sad.
Gee, you done very well....scoring the Base caravan I mean...I made approaches to Zone November 2021 with very solid interest in not 1, but 3 of the 18.6 Zones, and was told there was a long production delay (we understood that), then when we made some serious enquiries January 22, was told no longer in manufacture but we have the 2 new models......Promptly told Zone what they could do with their vans and just upgraded our existing vans. Having said that, the van you have is a great unit, and think there is still a huge market out there for it...Enjoy it, get out and use it cos theres a great big playground awaiting you ...Good luck, and travel safe.
Thanks Graham. We certainly aim to be safe and to enjoy and share our travels. We are very happy with our van.
Great video, looking forward to see all your travel videos. Great bed cover, can I ask where it’s from please?
Hi. Thanks so much for the feedback. It’s much appreciated. Wow- seems so long ago that I bought the bedding. I think I got this at the Bed, Bath and Table outlet at Harbour Town in the Gold Coast. They didn’t have the pillow cases to match so I bought a single sheet and made the pillow cases. I’m not sure if that pattern is still available 🤷♀️. They match the van and keep it cheery!. cheers Paula.
@@nextleveloz thank you so much for the quick reply. Looks fabulous. I’ll check it out. Enjoy your journey, zone rv is on my list for our big lap in the near future so am looking forward to seeing your adventures. Stay safe and thanks again for the reply!
Hi there - look forward to following your ‘Zone’ travels. All the best!
Thanks Jack. We would welcome your comments, tips and questions and the more likes and subscribes means we can send any ad revenue to charity.
@@nextleveloz would like to hear how the Defender stacks up re GVM/GCM , tow ability, technology, etc. Have a LC on order but curious about the Defender…
@@Chance_It_Oz I will cover how we've found the Defender and why we chose it.It hasn't been a trouble free decision, that more related to JLR back up and service. But it's a very capable car and great to drive. GVM is 3280kg and GCM is 6780kg. As with most vehicles towing, the thing to manage is rear axle capacity. The five seater has an 1800kg rear axle capacity and the 7 seater is 1900kg.
Awesome van guys and great episode! 🤙🏽
@@nextleveloz that would be awesome! Just waiting on the tow vehicle to arrive! 🤞🏽
Hi David, just started subscribing and watching your travels, starting my own soon with a defender. Can I ask you did you have JLR install their tow hitch receiver and if so what product did you use for the tow hitch given the 175 mm. I assume you are using a D035?
The tow bar and hitch receiver were installed as part of the tow pack by LR. It’s actually a Hayman Reese bar. I’m a bit hesitant to advice on the hitch itself because it depends on what tow height you need for your rig. So my suggestion is talk to your local Hayman Reese dealer with the info about what tow heights you need and they can help measure up and fit an appropriate hitch. Mine is just over the LR recommendation (and the manual says it’s recommended) to ensure my handbrake clears the rear spare wheel. But it’s 190mm and ensures my tow height is 490mm high in travel mode ( i needed 490 -530mm). I’m
pretty sure the model was 21161 but for the life of me can’t find my invoice while we are on the road. Yes , DO35 hitch.
Hey guys, do you have a user manual or brand of your remote roof hatch fan. Basic function is fine but theres some functions that arent so intuitive. Cheers
Thanks for watching and asking the question. I don’t know what brand it is. We will check our manuals to see if there is one there and share it if it is. cheers
Hi new subscriber here. Great video. Wish you all the best on your travels. By the way, who edits the video. The quality is great, which App or software are used?
Thank you. We edit the videos using Final Cut Pro. We hope to get better and a bit faster as we get more experience with it.
I thought Zone didn't make the Base model anymore? is it old stock?
Hi. No they don’t make the Base any more. Our van was new picked up. As we covered in the first few episodes we didn’t want to do a van review or walkthrough as it was superseded and not until we’d used it for a few months. We weren’t even sure we’d do a channel at first. So the videos will catch up on real time over the coming month or so. Hope that explains. cheers
Never fails go and invest in a big van and don’t have a decent vehicle to tow it with
Hey Rich.. What do you prefer to drive? Let us know what your rig is, as all constructive comment is welcome. cheers
Travelling is the correct spelling in Oz. I’m starting to watch all of your episodes from number one. Cheers 👍🏻🙏🦘
Noted. Where is the offending spelling? (while the text functions in the editing software do tend to autocorrect - it could be me!) Once it's uploaded I can't edit it so hope you can live with the occasional typo. cheers
