The reason I tell other people to check out Bobby's channel is because his mixes actually sound good! You're straight to the point, no fancy pants bullshit. It is criminal that more people don't come here. But hey, maybe this can be our secret space
Isn't it weird when you pull up a channel and shit sounds whack when they hit play, but they seem to be saying legit information? Shows how easy it is to word salad these concepts without ever embodying the concepts through rigorous practice and experiment! Bobby is the man, he taught me so much about the "less is more" philosophy
Im one of those ppl that like to boost more than cut, but i understand that eq is like a scale I think it might be a good video to explain which freq you want to bring out on specific things like for example 200hz is where most snare ring is
Here's the process on Saturdays; I go to my brothers to record, we watch whichever of your videos we need for what we're doing, follow the instructions and then the song sounds that much better. I feel like we owe you a credit on our next album! Thanks again.
I'll throw another one out there... low pass your drum rooms around 8k or so. And if you use programmed drums, send less cymbals to at least one room channel, so you can smash it good.
