      Wowowowow! What a Xmas gift! Your son is going to appreciate this for sure! That's why I make these videos. I just want them to help people who might otherwise be hesitant to get down and dirty wrenching on their R/C's!

    Yes Revolution, I feel I've been watching all the wrong shows, this was defo worth the whole watch📹, and must thank you in your SterlinG efforts to make this, 2.45 Gmt and fully took in what you've just shown, 😂😂😂😂 and I'm not even an owner of the truck tho🤔 defo like him, torn between him and the savage flux xl 🤯🤯, can not wait for your running video of this rig...📢 BIG THANK YOU 🎩

      LOL! Whether you liked it or not, I appreciate you checking it out all the same. If you do get this truck, you definitely need to do this though. Between the Hobao and the HPI... Well, I don't think HoBao is going away anytime soon. They have their own factory, and they also source out machine time to other companies. HPI has been through some trouble the past few years, and the only thing I'd worry about is parts. Granted HoBao doesn't have a big distributorship in the states, you can buy their parts off their website and they have a warehouse in Virginia.

    Great video! I just did the center diff earlier today. One thing I wanted to ask and I think I also noticed it in this video, after I put my center diff back on the chassis, I noticed the diff case seam did not compress totally flush together, like I can get my fingernail in the split. If you look closely at 18:40 or so right when you say "that completes center diff", it looks like your case is not completely flush closed together like mine either. I checked my screws, they are all tight, everything turns ok, but I just didn't know if this was ok or not. I just do not want any dirt getting in the diff case. Not sure if you can check your truck, and let me know. Thank you.

      Oh geez... I'll have to dig it out LOL! I think it should be fine. If it was an issue, I probably would've taken care of it. I hand tightened my screws, but they were tight. Next time I bring it out for a run, I will double-check though!

    Hi, thank you for rhis excellent tutorial video of the hyper mt II diffs. I would like to ask you a question about your hyper mt II Plus, have you had any problem along time with the center diffs, the spears and all its pieces ? Has this truck been reliable ?
    I will explain why i ask you this. Unfortunately i bought my Hobao Hyper MT II Plus from Ebay, brand new.
    I was amazed how the truck is made, look, size, felt. Incredibly, on my firsdt short test on a straight line, at half throttle there was a loud sound and the spur gear of the center dif broke ! I just could not believe what just happened to me ! Such an expensive car, broke on my first short test on my first run !
    Extremely dissapointed i send it back to the seller and asked for a new one or to change it for the new arma kraton V5 2020.
    I would be very grateful if i could hear your feedback !
    Thanks again !

      @RevolutionX  4 роки тому +1

      That's very strange. I haven't had any issues like that. My diffs are still working fine. I'm sure if you would've contacted Hobao they would've been happy to replace it for you though.

      @@RevolutionX thanks for your reply and feedback. Maybe i will give this truck a second chance...but also tempted in changing to the new arrma kraton 6s V5.

      @@ManelcMonteiro You should watch Werner Sline's channel and his Hyper MT Plus 2 videos. He puts that truck through more than I ever could. You can also contact him for tips as he seems to have his pretty dialed in. ua-cam.com/channels/tL8N5WASfmTwQ5hFmbGx1g.htmlvideos

    Okay so I got this truck two weeks ago and followed this video and did 500k centre and 100k front and back . And I've had nothing but issues . 500k is way too thick for centre and causes my diff to melt and strip gears! . How have you not had this issue !? .

    • @RevolutionX
      @RevolutionX  4 роки тому +1

      I actually haven't so far. I'm running the same diff fluid setup as Werner Sline/Stephane Z (ua-cam.com/channels/tL8N5WASfmTwQ5hFmbGx1g.html). Hit him up as he's a bit more experienced with this truck's setup than I am. He might be able to have a better idea of what's going on!

      @RAGEJONO 4 роки тому

      @@RevolutionX yeah I've spoken to him and he says that the oil is too thin .causing heat buildup . But thats the opposite to what everyone else has told me . I don't think it's a good idea to run 500k in this centre diff .

    • @RevolutionX
      @RevolutionX  4 роки тому

      @@RAGEJONO I know at one time Werner was running 100k 500k and 50 or 60k in the rear. I guess in your case you could back off the center a bit and see if it helps. I'd be interested to know what works for you!

    No idea you used thread lock on the screws that go into the composite diff hosings. It's really not good for them over time as it can break them down.

    • @RevolutionX
      @RevolutionX  Рік тому

      Yes, I don't know why I did either. Old video. I had mistakenly though something on the other side was metal. I cleaned, just didn't correct the video.

    You used blue loctite on a screw that goes into a plastic diff housing. This is a huge mistake. Loctite eats plastic and should only be used metal to metal

    • @RevolutionX
      @RevolutionX  4 роки тому

      This was so long ago, I don't even remember why I used it, but you're probably right. I shouldn't have used it there. For some reason, I think I was thinking that it was metal. Who knows, I was jetlagged at the time, and working late nights. In any case, I don't think I put enough for it to matter, and it's not something I normally do, or rather most of the diffs I work on are locked diffs that do use locktite on metal lockers.
