Stock folds on the top. It is exceptionally well made. It was named the best sub-machine gun of WWII. The Soviets build way more that 50 000. Almost all of them were built in Leningrad while under siege. This gun was designated for scouts and assault troops. Sudayev the designer of this gun was 24 years old when he designed PPS. He was full colonel at age 28 and died suddenly. He was a gun genius and presented his version of the Soviet assault rifle contest against Kalashnikov and others. His gun was selected as potential winner. However, after Sudayev’s death no one knew how to finish the project. Hence enter the AK-47. Just to help with historical aspect.

    PPSh-41 = SMG by Shpagin
    PPS-43 = SMG by Sudayev
    The "S" matters.

Guy I know found one in a funny sack stashed up a chimney of a church he bought to tear down. He was a felon and surrendered it to authorities. They were decent enough to find a place to sell it and he received the funds from the sale. It was in immaculate condition. Missing the magazine and slight surface rust near end of muzzle.

Most gun shooting practice clubs are being closed down because of city corruption and their power/ control addiction. Only cops, the rich, the famous and politicians are allowed to carry, not even veterans can have any. All i can do is watch gun videos and enjoy it that way and save money to get out of this sh!thole.

Don't forget that the PPS 43 also was able to be made in shops, not with any specific gun machines that take up any factory. It was an effective SMG that can be made and used with little training. During the Siege of Stalingrad, they were used by soldiers just after they were shipped out of the shops.

Not Russian....The design is, but that gun is Polish. That gun is a post sample made from a converted Polish semi-auto pps-43. The fugly front shroud splice is a dead give-away along with the pressed in denial groove on the rear top. They made a new rear semi-auto receiver half, and repurposed saw'd off front shrouds from demilled guns.
