wow, that's strange to see. i did often ride the R as a teenager living in rego park... it's not a train model i have a ton of nostalgia for in particular, but it's part of my formative years. a little sad to see them go, honestly. it's a little sad to see the MTA's variety of rolling stock get lower and less diverse over time, but one also has to recognize that that diversity was only born out of decades of severe underfunding and undermaintenance forcing them to keep older car models in service for decades longer than their "shelf life" as it were as cool as it was riding Redbirds and r40 slants in the 90s and even into the mid 2000s, that only happened because there was no other choice that the r42s were still running til THIS YEAR is a piece of proof that the underfunding continues in some ways to this day
All the lines that ran R46s. The 211s are likely to appear on the A, B, C, D, E, F, G, N, Q, R, W. The A, C, F, G, N, Q, R and W all ran R46s in normal service for a long period of time so the R211s have a high chance of showing up on those lines.

@@edwardaucay8597 Yeah unfortunately. I wish they put a CBTC on R46 trains.
@@RealSergiob466 Which would if the R46s were part of the NTT roster.
@@RealSergiob466 This was the same reason why the R62A trains left the (7) line and went back to the (6). The (7) line is now CBTC and the R188 trains already have that installed into them and some of the R142A cars were converted as well.
When the R62 along with the R62A trains retire in the future, the Lexington Ave line will have CBTC installed.
@@edwardaucay8597 The R62 along with the R62A trains will be replaced by the new R262 trains.
The (1)(2)(3)(4)(5) & (6) lines will all have CBTC installed.
At least the E,F, and R got smooth subway cars ik the R160s are irritating for some people but the good thing is that it's smooth
Just like the R143 that displaced the R40,R40A, and R42 cuz of CBTC signaling, also the R188 displaced the R62A off the 7 line to the 6 line
R.I.P r46 r train
These along with the r32’s were my childhood cars. I will miss them on the R line
i dislike the small chairs, but love the speed and the steadiness while inside
I’ll really miss riding the R46 every time from Dwtwn Bklyn To Bay Ridge R46 you’ll really be missed on the R 😢
I remember when I was little going to Woodhaven Blvd waiting in the station for the R46 (R)
No!!! I’ll miss those R46s. :(
It’s a shamed that all the r46’s will be on the N,Q,W trains
Guys don’t forget the R142A 6 trains! They are also out
What do the ropes between the cars do? Some of them have spring loaded bumpers. I always wonder about that.
They prevent people from falling off the train while moving between cars and to help hold the cars together in addition to the coupler

I’m looking at my old childhood with these nostalgia videos, I used to take the R every time in Bay Ridge. BK s/o Rocky. ❤️
wow, that's strange to see. i did often ride the R as a teenager living in rego park... it's not a train model i have a ton of nostalgia for in particular, but it's part of my formative years. a little sad to see them go, honestly.
it's a little sad to see the MTA's variety of rolling stock get lower and less diverse over time, but one also has to recognize that that diversity was only born out of decades of severe underfunding and undermaintenance forcing them to keep older car models in service for decades longer than their "shelf life" as it were
as cool as it was riding Redbirds and r40 slants in the 90s and even into the mid 2000s, that only happened because there was no other choice
that the r42s were still running til THIS YEAR is a piece of proof that the underfunding continues in some ways to this day
Never forget the times the R R46 brought me to school when I was late.
I grew up with them , man that really sucks
Well I miss the memories of me riding these R46 r trains in queens blvd
I’m riding R46 R train as I’m kindergarten and 1st grade.
So what line will the 211 trains go?
Idk what lines the motherfuckingshit211s will be on
All the lines that ran R46s.
The 211s are likely to appear on the A, B, C, D, E, F, G, N, Q, R, W. The A, C, F, G, N, Q, R and W all ran R46s in normal service for a long period of time so the R211s have a high chance of showing up on those lines.
Good thing, I've been riding R46 R Train since I was 9 or 10, I don't know. What I want is, I want Some R46 to be on the F line and I want some R160 and R160B on the D and B line, R179 too. But definitely, I don't know if MTA won't do it. Sad :(
Dang it sad between 2015 and 17 I rode that train all year AND FULLY R46s
r.i.p for my R46 R trains 😭
I miss the R46 R trains and R142A 6 trains
I was able to ride on the r46 R train at 3 years old in 2017
Why is almost every old train retiring
