Those are probably the handful amount of retired R46s that are gonna be cannibalized for spare parts for the remaining fleet until the R46s are fully retired. They did the same thing for the Redbird Fleet during the Early 2000s and the R32s, R38s, R40s and R42s during the Late 2000s.
@@chriscampbell5538No highly doubt the B/D trains will receive R46 when they have the R68’s which are less old the trains you see in this video are probably going for storage or maintenance highly doubt maintenance
@Elevatorelectricgate Yeah, somehow, all roads eventually lead to Stillwell Avenue. Especially during the summertime. Always appreciated the Coney Island Yard.❤
I think it's a three-way switch. They're switching the R211 with the R46s, while they are retiring. All R68s are being transferred to Coney Island (N,Q and W) and the B and D lines are getting R211s
Nah the R211s are also heading to N/Q/W CBTC has been confirmed for Broadway and the R211s are now unfortunately also replacing a large portion of the R68/As fleet
They about this close to find a factory to build the R262/AS open and close ways. I have a real sprittal feeling Yonkers Kawasaki or Nebraskan Kawasaki is deffenitly gonna build the R262/As I'm telling you.
You know they are deffenitly gonna keep the R68/As for storages to keep the R211/As from not getting to meny molleges and just pasting them. When the R262/As open and close ways comes for the A devisons iRT lines they are deffenitly gonna keep some R62S R62As on the cut and storages I'm telling you.
Im not sure why people seem to allude that all the oldies are leaving in the next five years & everyone is getting CBTC. All of this will take several years & much of it is dependent on Congestion Pricing. So if CP gets scuttled by the lawsuits & political games & Trump permanently wipes it out, do not expect any of these radical changes to occur for a very long time.

Including the R62s R62As from the 1 3 6 S lines . just like they did to R17s R21
R22s R15s R12s R14s R33wf R36mil R36wf R29s R28s R26s R62s R62As R68s R68As .
Unusual maintenance move.
i think cbtc is soon being enforced on 8th ave , so they transferring the r46s
Those are R46's from Coney Island Yard. They were shown going to Concourse Yard for storage purposes.
They’re going to be running on the B/D trains now?
@@chriscampbell5538 Those cars weren't sent to Concourse Yard for passenger service.

Uh oh ..i get the feeling these 46s have seen their last passengers
Interesting seeing an R46 passing at the Concourse line.

Cool video on the r46 on the d line
1:08/ Holy crap! The N Train's running up The Concourse Line!😂❤

@Amiri_Francis what about the R268s?
@ I think they probably head to the B/D/N/Q/W to weed out the remaining R68s and R68As since the R268s are only planned to be 355 cars
@@Amiri_Francis oh
These are R68s/As aren't going anywhere for another 15 or 20 years. Where is y'all getting this information from?
When is sixth Avenue getting CBTC?
By the end of the 2020s decade
