  • In 2019 I sold everything I own and moved into a Tiny House. I would like to take you on the journey with me and share the things I have learned. On my first episode I will give you a tour of my Tiny. In upcoming episode I will tell you how I found my builder, the systems I use in my Tiny, resources, and how to make a small space functional without having to give up conveniences. So, come with me and lets takes this journey together.
Episode2: In this episode I share great resources with you including information on who built my Tiny. There are 4 very important thing to consider when you are looking to go Tiny.
    1. Who is going to build your home? Are you going to build it or are your looking for a builder. There are resources for both and I mention them in this episode.
    2. How are you going to pay for your Tiny? If you are like me, I needed to find a way to finance my Tiny. This was a challenge until I started working with Tumbleweed. They work with lenders to help you finance. The process was very simple and stress free.
    3. Where are you going to park your Tiny? Every state and really every county has their own regulations and can become quiet stressful if you are wanting to buy land and put your Tiny on your land. You will have to abide by those specific regulations. There are alternatives however to avoid all the stress. There are Tiny Home Communities throughout the US. You can rent a parking place from someone who already has land with a foundational home or if you are like me you can park your home by your mom ❤️ or another family member or friend.
    4. Where are your going to get Tiny Home Insurance? This is another BIG one. For me with my lender they offered insurance so this was easy for me. There are other alternatives if your lender does not offer insurance. Talk to your builder and they will have information and the other resources I mentioned below have gather a ton of resources to help you on your Tiny Home Journey.
I hope you find this video helpful, informative, and entertaining.
I'll see you on the next one. 😃

Wow, that’s neat how they kept you up of progress on your tiny home. I really liked your bedroom to. I’ve lost 2 1/2 inches of height so I probably could stand up in there I’m 4 foot 9 something. 😳😀 but hey , I don’t mine. I’d probably do some sewing in there. ❤

I’m very impressed by the book and binder that Tumbleweed provided! I am definitely going to take a look at their site and add them to my list of builders to consider. I’ve been thinking I’d go with Incredible Tiny Homes but I should consider other options also. Price is not my main deciding factor. I care more about the layout, quality, livability and builder support. Thanks for a great video, and glad you ditched the music while you were talking. I think you will find great success here on UA-cam!

Thank you very much. I have found through the various Tiny Home builders they all seem to have a different style of building. That would be a good place to start on your search. The most important is to find a builder you trust and with Tumbleweed everything is under warranty for a year. Even though they are very far from my residence they find local buisness to make repairs for you. Tumbleweed was able to handle everything and that was great not having to deal with a lot of different people.❤️

Love that you did another little tour at the end of some of the areas of your tiny home, it’s just so cozy, comfy and inviting. You’ve used some of my fav colors in your decor. Maybe sometime in the future you can list links in the description of some of your other items and possibly earn a small commission on purchases made by viewers with a code, just a thought. Also, did you do the beautiful tiling or paper on the stairs to the loft or was that done by the builder?

They helped me with my loan and I was approved in July 2019 and my home was delivered in October 2019. My Tiny is parked beside my mom on her property.
