    Good point to note is that there are multiple brands who OEM exactly the same chainsaw.. probably made in the same factory. The one I bought was the Eskde (orange body, same saw) and I'm very happy with it after the carb tuneup - mind the fact that your green Hawksmore came with an Oregon chain which are excellent chains. Mine came with a couple of soft metal no brand chains - that's going to make a significant difference. Parker brand also OEM this model, and their customer service, repairs and replacement and spare parts stocking is fantastic; I have their 62cc model which i'm very happy with and only went for the eskde because Parker were out of stock at the time and I wanted it for a job.

    Thanks so much for your video. I've never had a chainsaw before and bought one of these for work/firewood/allotment...it would have taken me a week to set it up with the manual! Really appreciate it. Toolstation/Hawksmoor owe you one!

    Really handy little saw! Lightweight and easy to process smaller pieces of wood or for saving time if you're making something out of pallet wood.

    Hi. I have one of these saws, but where do you get the spare parts when needed, like for instance the needle bearings in the clutch, etc? These are hard to get. Advise for other owners. Because the crankshaft steel is softer than most other saws keep the saw well greased where it should be greased.

    The original saw is Zenoha G2500 (Husqvarna T425), and there's many china copies in many colours of this 25.4cc top handle saw.

    I have the Einhell version of that saw but am yet to use it due to working away, I'll be sure to do the carb mods to it before I use it

    I found the budget version at Toolstation (about 50 to 60 quid) was not fit for purpose .The lock mechanism is affected by vibrations and can unlock during use which renders the chain slack and then comes off.The shield which protects the rotating cog gets easily fouled by wood debris which could therefore be impaired.These design problems appear to be inherent as I returned the first one for replacement only to find the replacement had the same probs.

    Nice video and convinced me this is all I really need - followed links, hope they worked for you.
    Any advice for similar value PPE to go with it?

    • @DormanDiaries
      @DormanDiaries  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Darren,
      Thanks for watching, glad it was useful and thanks for using the links. PPE is a tricky one, main thing really and usually at greatest risk are your thighs. So maybe just look for chaps, I have full trousers but heavy and not as comfy as usual work trousers so I often don't bother (which I should) whereas if its just for occasional stuff some chaps will probably suffice and you are more likely to wear them. Helmet with mesh visor is very handy to protect your eyes yet doesn't steam up. Gloves I wear don't have any protection just to stop slipping. I mainly wear 3 finger ones. Boots I wear just tend to be sturdy leather with toe caps, again should really wear proper chainsaw ones but anything better than nothing!
      Main thing is remember even these little ones are very dangerous and will inflict lethal injuries in fractions of a second so take care!

  • @filipe6953

    yes its cheap, but I found that keeping the chain sharp it will cut some serious wood. couple of co. use that same saw with different colors
