I bought this part and as a fully qualified tech fitted it today , remove fuel rail wiring harness then manifold, fit part as supplied refit items then clear code all OK now 👍 Job took me an hour
Right Guys. I own a 2009 Passat 2.0 TDI with the plastic intake manifold. I have just successfully fitted the X8R Bracket "WITHOUT REMOVING THE INTAKE MANIFOLD!" Took about 5 hours, a few tool modifications, removal of the entire air intake box/housing and a "LOT OF CURSING!"
@@nNIicCoLA Yes it sure did. No P2015 since I did it. Difficult to do without removing the intake manifold but worth it, a lot less hassel than stripping the whole thing down! Hope this helps ♥

This is all very well, the three bolts are in a space where I can’t get access to them. I probably need to remove the entire intake manifold which isn’t included in your video. Fitting it on a bench is the easy bit
For others with black pastic manifold having access problems to fit the bracket I have developed a solution that involves changing the hex bolt supplied with the repair bracket for a T30. Other steps may assist you if you can at least get a space above the three motor attachment bolts free so you can get a fine tooth ratchet in there. Shout out if you're one of these folk.
I discovered I'm not the only one with a P2017 code after installing a repair bracket and clearing P2015. I have a theory after noticing that the rotation of the actuator lever starts about 20 degrees late. I don't suppose you still have the black plastic manifold in the picture? Its possible there may be a simple solution. If you'd like to explore that with me in the interests of your customers let me know. I am here @BuyersReport if you would like to get in touch

2006 Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sportback After fitting this did a new code come up for anyone. 08196 intake manifold intake runner stuck open. I have this code on my car now
Hi, sorry to hear you have this code. Did you double check the function on the arm to ensure it is moving properly within the closed point and where the bracket stops the over rotation?
godd evening ..and thanks for the video i have a question my car is an audi a4 b8 8k.5 TDI 170 cv motor code caha with metal manifold wish is the one i need to buy thanks ..sorry for my english .
Hi there. I just fixed the bracket on the v157 motor, erased the p2015 error code, but after 20 min is still on. The CEL keeps coming back on. Put brand bew intake manifold and v157 motor with the bracket, but the CEL still coming on after 20 minutes.
Hi there, did you solve this in end and how? I did the same as you, bracket -> after 2 days it came back. Now I'm afraid to but brand new intake manifold. Let me know
I have an Audi a4 b8 and It’s easier to remove the manifold. Does anyone have any guidance as my fuel economy has gone rubbish after installing this? EML gone off though
