    Viltrox 27mm f1.2 is a very nice prime. Swirly bokeh of a vintage lens, but with auto focus,sharp at f1.2. It's just kinda large for an APSC lens, but managable. Good value, too.

      I just wish it came in the size/weight of the fuji 35mm f1.4 :( i also own the viltrox 13mm f1.4 and as gorgeous of landscape shots it takes, it became so burdensome to carry with me on my persons whilst traveling. it ended up staying in my hotel for 85% of my tokyo trip earlier this year :(.

      @venom2k2 7 місяців тому +3

      Yeah, that's a beast of a lens and you get such an amazing lens for so little money, it is insane. Image quality is extremely good, but the size and weight are not that enjoyable.

      @@bebechat14 I would just buy actual vintage lenses and adapt them if that's the look you're going for. Most of the modern AF lenses still look a lot sharper than actual vintage glass.

    Glad you’ve made the jump to the X-H2S! I honestly think it produces an incredible video image that can rival cine cameras 5x its cost 🙌 In terms of lenses, a surprising favourite of mine has been the Viltrox 27mm 1.2. It pairs perfectly with the X-H2S in terms of size weight and balance; and the picture and build quality are solid performers. Really didn’t expect to love a lens from Viltrox as much as I do!

    Hi Samuel. I enjoy your channel very much. Long time (40years) former Canon shooter here. Everything from a F1 film camera to the 5DSR. I also switched to Fujifilm & sold all my Canon gear. I believe the cost savings warranted such a decision for me. I invested heavily in Fuji lenses & also bought the Viltrox 27mm f1.3 & the Viltrox 75mm f1.2. Amazing value for the Viltrox lenses & exceptional image quality. I recently retired & continue to shoot personal work with 2 XT3 cameras & battery grips. There are some trade offs with respect to switching to an APSC sensor but I find the Fuji ecosystem is sufficient for my style of shooting. Fuji autofocus still lacks significantly behind other major camera manufactures. I hope that Fujifilm Corporate Management will provide the necessary resources,financial, R&D, etc. to address their camer’s shortcomings & firmware updates. Best wishes & safe travels.

    The 55-200mm is an under-rated lens. I actually sold my 70-300mm for it. I had real problems with it re-gaining focus after zooming which the 55-200 does not have. It also compliments my 18-55 perfectly - and is small and light for travel photography if you want that extra reach. You can normally find it really cheap second hand, so it is worth just having in your kit.

    • @colinhoward2200
      @colinhoward2200 5 місяців тому

      Actually update - I have just traded in my 18-55mm and 55-200 for an 18-120mm PWZ with a 23 F2. WOW this combination just blew my old combo away!! I carry my 23 F2 with me just in case the F4 is not up to low light performance - that fits in my pocket. In low light it is unlikely I want to zoom too much - it is mainly nighttime photography around where I am travelling to. Love my new combo.

    I would highly recommend the voigtlander 27 f2.0! I love the images coming out with my x-t5, and manually focusing is fun and easy with that combo. It just makes you more involved in the photography process and the images have a special look ( at f2.0 it is a bit soft but I don't mind that). It is quite expensive for what it is though
