Fascinating, thank you. It's sad that so little of what we see in the movie is still there.
Mark, a new video from you always brightens my day. We seem to have very similar tastes in movies. Perhaps it we both remember seeing then on TV back in the 1980's. God bless you.
Thanks mate!! Yes the golden period 😊
Fantastic content Mark.Loved that movie and was great to see the location it was filmed.
Nice one john!! 👍👍
Crazy, you put this video up a year ago and both the Dalek movies are playing at the cinemas in a 4K restoration in July 2022.
In the UK? :)
Great stuff Mark!

@@MarkMahoney I should have said Mark, it was the Dalek6388 channel that brought me here!

@@MarkMahoney Saw the film new (was it in 1966?).
I'm really not sure!? Definitely the 60s! Slightly before my time! :) Where did you see it?
@@MarkMahoney Saw it at home with my now late parents, the invasion film was 1965, I was around 9 or 10 at the time.
Excellent work again. Nice to see Peter Cushing, he’s one of my many many claims to fame, I used to print his headed notepaper.
Thats intresting mate! Yes great actor! In summer i went to whitstable passing his old house on the sea front! Theirs also a wetherspoons in town in old cinema all dedicated to the man himself!
@@MarkMahoney Am I right that his house is now a museum to him? There’s also a memorial bench to him and his wife in Whitstable known I believe as Cushing’s view.
@@thebohemian. yes bench on sea front but house not a
museum i think someone lives in it, though their is a small museum opposite-ish wetherspoons with some memorabilia possibly!?
Wow, awesome work.
Yes a really interesting place to visit
That's a great find, love it!
Fantastic. Really cool. Well done fella enjoyed that.
Thanks mate! Nice one!
Great! Thank you .
👌👍
The year 2150 is over 127 years away from 2023. Could there still be the year 2000 vehicles 🚗 on the roads in 2150. 👍
Those locations are close to Shepperton Studiod where some of the filming was done. I recognised the area straight away as I have been to Shepperton Studios twice.
Hi phillip yes thats right, along the river ash a public area behind the studios and houses
Hi Mark, thanks for this great video! I see from the comments that our stuff helped you out! :) Could you tell us exactly where the last location was please? The one with Philip Madoc. We think we know roughly where it was but because we have had to do it all with old maps and old pictures we could never pin it 100% like we could with the other spots!
Hello yes you got it right! it's private farmland behind the housing estate, it's tricky to get to! it's now a really overgrown ditch that runs between the fields. Like I said it's totally overgrown with brumbles and nettles and thorn bushes! I certainly knew about it when I got home! :) Finally I would like to say your site is brilliant! A must for doctor who fans!
@@MarkMahoney Ah brilliant thanks Mark! As I said, we worked that one out from aerial photos and old maps that suggested that the 'channel' was an old drainage thing. With the view of the bank in the background it had seemed the most likely place. I'm amazed that the view where the van comes through the old building is still so recognisable too. The overhead images make that seem like its totally overgrown.
Thanks for the kind comments on the site too. Did you see our "making of" videos that we have up on youtube too?
Ooooooh gotta love me a bit of Daleks 🚿 (couldn't find a plunger emoji, so thought this shower head would do nicely) 😂
Haha!! 🤣 I'm a occasional dalek! ;)
@@MarkMahoney prove it! 😂
@@MarkMahoney I'm somewhere in the UK 🤔😂
Haha yes me too, aldershot
@@MarkMahoney I'm just over into the Scottish Borders 🕵🏻♂️

Thanks for your time making these videos (your mask added to the style of this Dalek film!) Was the first house on the water (no more) built for the film do you know? Also what happened to that lovely first bridge. So sad the field shot that now has the road. My favourite Dr Who evils were always the Daleks (I have an original magazine from when my Dr Who (John Pertwee - who I got to meet) was the doctor. It shows you how to build a full size Dalek - which my dad never did for me!!! - but I did eventually make a 'flat' full size Dalek for one of my stage shows (which I still have) - if you want to see it - send me your email. In recent years I have changed to liking the Weeping Angels evils the best - because it was such a simple idea and very effective - and gave you the 'scarys' like in the old Dr Who days... check them out if you haven't seen them. All the best. Keep the videos coming. Dawn from Cyprus.
Your welcome dawn! Years ago all this area was part of littleton house and the bridge area was the manors japennese gardens, with statues and water features! Their was 3 boathouses but really not sure when they were built and taken away. The bridge balustrades was taken away a few years after filming i gather! This area was used in dangerman and a boris karloff film. The field you pointed out was also the location for alot of oliver film sets and even scoorge 1970. The bit in this clip were the 2nd bridge was is also the location of the sanders on the river film! Its weird cos in the undergrowth old statues and brick work can still be found. I would love to see! My email is mahoney197335@googlemail.com
Mark
What's happened to the scroog video, is yt been picky again.
Yes sometimes music copyright is an issue! Im going to do more of scrooge i found a few more for that film and try different music! Keep watching 😊👌
