It’s getting better and better!🔥🔥
Thank you!! Soon we will be cruising!!
Been a 68 Charger lover since my first one.in high school... Yours looks fantastic, the color is great!! Have had 5 over the years, but never had a red one!!!
That’s awesome! We love our chargers! We have this one which is the passion project, then we just purchased a 69 R/T & we have a ‘72!
@@HHWheels nice!!! While 68 is my fav, ever since high school ive wanted one of each "old" body style. Ive had lots of 2Gs and a 4G, now for the 1 and 3 before I die...😁
Nice 68 Dodge Charger restoration👍 Beautiful Caroline❤ James good job👍
Thanks 👍
Great video! Gives me more inspiring for getting my 70 Road Runner finished! Keep saving the classics, especially Mopars 😊
Heck yeah! Maybe we could come check it out when its finished!
@@HHWheels you'll be the first to see it!!
Great work! super helpful I’ll need to pull my windshield to remove the dash. So cool to see the progress on this beauty 👍😎
Thank you!! Be prepared and get a buddy to put that glass back in 😂
I used to own a 1968 Dodge Charger in 1973. I bought it from a relative. Dark green. I only sold it because gasoline got so expensive. I miss it now.
Awww!! My buddy has a dark green charger and I love it!! Our next one might be green!
@@HHWheels my husband has to watch Bullitt all the time. We had a baby in 1975 and it was rough with just a two door. Only thing wrong with it was the compressor and it was so expensive for a young family.
Noice progress!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm getting my 68 tomorrow from the body shop and need to reassemble it all back together. Very helpful video
That’s fantastic, would love to see some pics. Just don’t rush it. Take your time with every piece. More vids coming this spring on this build! Also, the outer molding clips are longer on the bottom of the windshield. If you put the short ones in, you have to take windshield back out to replace. 🤦 ask me how I know?😂
Like that red color and dash had a 69 roadrunner with a 68 right front fender
Thank you! Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful charger! Keep up the great work 👍
Thanks! Will do!
You did a really nice job here on this car.
Thx,, I hope to be driving it this year. More vids coming! Thx for watching!💪
Looks Awesome
Thank you so much!
Nice!
Do you guys have a Facebook page or website? Love the 68 Charger, it’s a dream car for me.
Yes we do! Facebook is HHWheels / Our Instagram is @hhwheelspro / website is HHWheelspro.com is coming soon! We have plenty more videos coming your way for our 68 !
Awesome video! #68charger💪
Thank you!!!
What's your opinion on putting in just the dashframe bare and assembling its trim and gauges later in the car with windshield in place?
Its much easier to assemble all that stuff while the dash is out of the car. That being said, you can install gauges after dash is in place. In my case I needed to install the aftermarket gauges first do to having to modify the dash. I can’t imagine putting the gauges I’m using in after the dash was installed. My final advice would be, to try and assemble as much as possible before dash is installed. Good luck! And thx for watching 🤙
@@HHWheels Thanks for the heads up, I will do that.
Drill holes and put screws in those clips
we got glue every where!!! did you? if so what did you use to clean it off?
We used a product called deca-seal. It is not like the normal window sealant. Not as messy. Very easy to clean up.
Thx for watching!👍
Question: What do you use to know what size bolt or screw goes where on a 68 to 69 dodge charger?
Also what do you use to find the parts for these cars
These are both great questions, I fortunately was able to buy two of these 68s at a decent price 11 years ago. One was a shell, just a roller and the other was a too rusty to restore but had every part. I was able to take the rust one apart piece by piece and that taught me a lot about where everything goes and how it bolted up. I have boxes and boxes of parts and bolts for these cars. Just been collecting here and there over the years. I also have an original service guide for the 68 charger thx to my son. Xmas present one year. There are many companies that sell parts for these. Some of the repop stuff isn’t very good and some is. eBay, Facebook marketplace might surprise you sometimes also. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Would you be able to help me out with a paint code for that red? Getting closer to painting my 68! Was looking at Chrysler flame red and TorRed
Hey Roger, I know the red I used is not a Mopar color, sorry. I will get the paint code off the can this week and message it to you.
A pullstring wouldn't help install the windshield in this situation?
It was our first one. I do not believe that would have helped but, maybe we could have done it differently. Just not a lot of instructional vids out there. Remember, the gasket has to be glued down at the bottom so you can’t put the gasket around the windshield and put it in with a pullstring like a GM. Thx for watching 👍
@@HHWheels Good to know, thanks for the info. Im about to do mine soon.
hello friend how are you? I have a question I hope you can answer. how much can a charger cost in a junkyard or barn approximately? and how much money is invested in a restoration normally. Thank you
Hi Tony ,, wow, this is a good question. I’ve seen 68,69, 70 charger market go from under 5k in 2012,2013 to 10k and above starting a couple years back. I did see on Instagram where a guy bought a 69charger for 1000$ but, he has got to be the luckiest mopar guy I’ve ever seen! 😂. This is my 9th year restoring my charger. I’m hoping to make a big push this winter to get it driving. I have boxes of brand new parts for it, sitting, waiting to be installed. Tony, honestly I had to stop counting how much I was spending. If your going to restore one of these baby’s,, you need to find one with ALL the parts on it or as complete as possible. I would also tell you, this is one of the hard ones to do. Nothing is easy! Nothing! I believe you can find drivers out there for 25k and up. If I had to do it again, I would save my money and buy one that’s driving down the road.
Thx for the questions and I hope this helps. You can DM me on insta @hh_wheels anytime. Good luck!✊
@@HHWheels Thank you very much for your response!! I'm still on IG. Another question says that you saw that someone on IG bought a car for 1000 dollars? Where did you find it at that price since you say you have to be very lucky. Sorry for so many questions, I'm not from the United States.

@@HHWheels hello???
Why did u put a 70 dash in a 68 or is it a 70 with a 68 tailpanel.
This dash is straight out of a 68 parts car bought out of a junk yard. The car had never been takin apart. Im not sure where the difference is🤷🏽♂️. Dm me pics of what the difference is please. Always learning 🤙
I really really love you also and I think you were so so very very gorgeous and beautiful
HUGE ? FOR YOU. DOES THE FRONT WINDSHIELD LEAK? Seems like Noone knows how to install one with out them leaking
Caught in the rain is a little insane. This one currently doesn’t leak so no issues there. Wipers are set up for looks you only really need the driver side. There is a mod in the future for a dual motor upgrade make more room under dash with the A/C…
Good video but should of showed more on windshield install, the gasket has to be put on car then windshield worked into it,then it has a rubber flap all the way around that needs folded and pushed in until it locks together it's a pain in the butt but I've done it all by myself. If you don't lock that flap you can still get the trim on but the windshield will not be seated as tight as it should be,hope this helps someone! I installed mine 10 years ago and after 2 tries ifigured it out.there was not any videos on 68 charger windshield install back then😁
