- ⚠ For Assassin's Creed III, to fix the stutter issue, we can Alt + Tab to Windows, open Task Manager, go to Details, right click on AC3SP, choose Set affinity. Unpick all processors and only choose CPU 0 and CPU 1. After clicking OK, choose Set affinity and pick all 12 processors. It won't improve the framerate but it can fix the weird FPS problem. This happens to my high end desktop PC and in AC: Brotherhood, too ⚠

Vega7 can run all demanding games well if kept at 720p or lower. The dedicated gpu only allowed to set higher resolution, igpu is able to play all AAA games as well.
I can get this 14 inch HP with Ryzen 5 5500U not sure if it's this exaxt one but also 8gb ram 256gb SSD which I'd use an SD card for internal or change if eventually but would I be able to run the games I currently have like rdr2 gta5 cyberpunk 2077 and so on?

I have this Laptop, got it as a cert refurbished and it is awesome for even lower res gaming - 1080 low to 720 medium on the most demanding games. The cpu can actually do more but the stock configuration and the heat sink are not adequate for this thing to run as it could over extended periods of time. I recommend it if you can find it for 500 dollars or less. The cpu throttles because of temperatures or some bottleneck related to power. If you upgrade the storage to 1tb NVME and the ram to 16gb 3200mhz, you have a great laptop on your hands. It will run the most demanding modern games at that point, but the heat is the main drawback as it will throttle occasionally. It needs a better cooling solution but HP cheaped out on that apparently. Great review, you actually convinced me to buy this a while back, but I wouldn't buy it at regular retail.

I tried running genshin and so far its fine for me and performs bettter than my prev laptop (Lenovo idepad 3, ryzen 3300u with radeon) i might take the 8gb ram stick from my prev laptop to the Hp but i need to ask the shop to do it cuz if i open it myself the warranties gone jsjcdixjs
@@soldxr._4298 nice, that Ryzen 5 5500u is fantastic, I run the division 2 on it with 45+ frames at 720p medium high settings or 1080p low. Awesome if you get it at a sale or clearance price

I plan on Getting this cpu laptop but with 16gb RAM and 512gb ssd. I’ll use it for excell/power point and office 80% of the time, net browsing and netflix and ocasionally Play League of Legends on it.
they put a very good APU . however they screw it up in thermal solution so the laptop couldn't use its total performance without getting thermal throttling
is this the problem for all versions of 15s?
@@olegslepehins2095 not exactly . some 15" laptops doesn't have this problem bcs the CPU use multiple heat pipes and good material heat sink with dual powerful fans for cooling so the cpu can perform well without getting hot .... this only found on expensive laptops

i have a acer aspire 5 ryzen 5 5500U ,8gb ram,AMD radeon graphics variant ...its vram is limited to 512 mb which is quite low .and in BIOS also there is no feature to increase the VRAM .can you tell me what to do to increase the VRAM to atleast 1GB
512MB RAM are reserved, if the GPU needs more the system can assign more RAM as VRAM on the fly.

@@AbhishekKumar-nz9dn In theory - yes. But using system RAM as VRAM is slooooow compared to modern GDDR6 or faster stuff used in modern graphics cards. But still better than no GPU ;)

In GTA V there are warning of limitation of VRAM so in this game canont set in higher setting
System Ram is shared with VRam on this model. Upgrading your Ram to at least 16GB should help. It's easy to do. There's lots of videos. Most HP models share same component location.
Just upgrade ur ram to like 8, 12 or preferably 16gb and it would increase the vram and make it way more playable

Why are you getting up to 91 Degrees Celcius? I have Windows 11 Version of this laptop and in Idle I only hover at 29degrees Celcius and Tops at 80 Degrees while playing games. Maybe a BIOS update will fix the fan curve of that device.
You should know that gaming produces much less heat than stress testing. Try downloading AIDA64 or Prime95 and see.
@@PokerFaZe No, but the Idle temps are so wrong.. My idle is sitting so much lower than that. I'm just sharing that something might be wrong with your unit
@@PokerFaZe I use both prime 95 and gpuz to max the apu but due to power limits they just run at low frequency. Trust me something might be wrong with your unit. That's kinda unhealthy idle temps. Maybe a BIOS update can help bud.

I've used kryonaught on a bunch of systems. Some still going strong 3 years later. But like he said whichever fits the budget. Will only differ a few degrees at max load.

Can you elaborate a bit more in why one should change the CPU affinity to first two cores then back to all when playing a game?
Should the same apply to when one plays an emulator?
I have no idea why it happened but it fixed the stutter issue with at least two AC games that I played. I don't know anything about the emulator.

I recall doing something similar back in the days of dual-core hyper threaded SOCs for emulation performance but in the opposite manner:
Core 0 and 2 being the real "cores" (on Intel SOCs) while core 1 and 3 were virtual or threads. So emulation improved by locking the affinity to cores 0/2 only and setting windows to performance mode. SOCs back then were heavily thermal throttled and would mostly run slower speeds with all threads active.
I'm guessing the AC stuttering is more to do with dodgy game programing as opposed to it being a APU or Windows 10 issue.

Yes the tdp hovers around that but you can increase it with apps like Ryzen controller and AATU but to me ryzen controller is the best and am using it, it’s really good but just watch UA-cam videos about it so you can know the right temps and tdp to input for the processor and about the ram 16gb is way better in dual channel mode
