Not too many players from Peru . Varillas is one to watch. Great experience for the Peruvian who is progressively growing physically, mentally and his game strategy. Exceptional RG MD debut for the Peruvian!

No conocía Juan Pablo. Siempre bueno mirar nuevos talentos en el tenis de América Latina. Principalmente en otros países y no solo en Argentina (nada contra ellos, pero ya es una escuela increíble con grandes jugadores).

The nerves and shock will be great in the first and second rounds. After that, it will be a straightforward battle every time.

@@themald1459 Imo his forehand is abbreviated and explosive, and a really good shot when he's playing it right. His variety and shot selection are what he needs to work on, and are what consistently get in the way of his forehand becoming "great"

@Rafa Undisputed goat I’d disagree, Rafa is always there for a surprise especially in the french open but he’s still recovering from injuries and he hasn’t been on top of his game.

Energy is the most important point in a best of 5 sets match. In the first two sets, we can see that Varillas was playing with lots of power, but when it went into the third set, his power started to be weak, and UE started to be more.
Highlights need to be representative of the match. You show 1 point of set 1 won by Felix, who then lost the set 6-2. How am I supposed to understand how the match went? Important points? Break points? Anything….

Been following Varillas for a while. It’s important to understand a match like this is huge for him. Finally a grand slam match with a substantial amount of money after being a mediocre player who didn’t set his sights on being a top player. Can understand why he felt the pressure after the first 2 sets. It’s where the experience of FAA kicks in. Varillas completely lost it at the start of set 3

These highlights completely misrepresent the match, first set FAA lost 6-2 and they only showed him winning an easy serve combo… they need to pick a combination of good points and important points… not just the ones that look cool. And would it kill ya to at least give us a minute per set?
