This video was filmed the last week of April in the Prefecture of Gunma, by rain & sun. It was mostly at an altitude between 1000m & 1300m with a delayed spring. Summer birds have arrived, but the vegetation is late. As a result, mountain cherry-trees were still in bloom while in the plains it is completely over. A few winter birds also remained there.
This place is perfect. Everything is so beautiful. Loved the blue and white flycatcher and other birds ❤
You are really kind. The place was great but what deluge ! The blue and white flycatcher was singing 🎵 in the rain! This bird likes the mountains and their streams. It normally perches on top of tall trees. That wasn’t the case then.

It is I who thank you. These mountains must have been really beautiful by sunshine but one has to make do with what the weather decides.
Plants at this altitude are interesting and some were new to me. Birds didn’t really pause for filming and the mountains were steep without anything to lean upon. I do apologize for the camera shake.

Such an artistic compilation with stunning landscape and flora not to mention the birds. The Flycatchers steal the show but the Shrike and Varied Tit are both incredibly handsome too.
Very jealous of your Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker! I've looked in vain for our equivalent the 'Lesser Spotted'.

When it’s sunny the aim is to avoid people so as to find quiet places with natural interest.

Hello my friend ! Thank you very much for your kind message. I do my best to show the good side of Japanese nature. Sometimes the weather doesn’t help and birds don’t show up at all. Somehow birding in rain is really not rewarding. After rain it’s good because of the water puddles where birds bathe or drink. Good luck for more of your nature filming ! こんばんは‼️ご視聴いただきありがとうございます．とても親切なコメントありがとうございます。Nikon p のカメラは雨が嫌いですね．確かに雨の下で撮影するのは間違いですね．これから天気と手ブレの問題をより考えないと行けないとわかりました。今花茅野に行ってすごい雨がやんだ後にでかけました。
オオルリを良く聞こえますけどやっぱり渓流は一番良さそうですね。

Your Dusky Thrushes look and behave just like our Babblers. That waterfall and river look amazing. The frogs must love the rain just as much as the plants do. I really nice mixture of flowers and bird images👍
Thank you very much indeed ! That waterfall is rather famous in Japan as it is long and full of huge potholes. The fact that it had been raining in that district for sometime gave more water to the waterfall. I wished I could observe your babblers ! The guidebook of Australian birds is really fascinating to look at. I apologize for the handheld camera as usual. I use a stick to walk and can’t carry a tripod. And in all those mountainous areas there is nowhere to lean to if a bird shows up.😕 I look forward your next video as it gives me the pleasure to dive into a completely different natural environment.Thank you again.Very best wishes for the season.🍀🍀🌸🌸‼️
@@Nature_Watching_Japan You know Patricia, regarding the shaky camera a good editing software can minimise the shaking and sometimes even completely get rid of it when it is not severe. If you are using a good quality camera which retains detail when the scale is increased and you are filming at 50fps at 4K the software will crop the shakiness out without loss of quality. But even filming at HD and 25 fps it will help substantially. We use Apple computers and Final Cut Pro for editing and with that software we can stabilise our videos quite a bit but our camera is a Sony 4K camcorder which has only a very small sensor so we are severely limited to what the software could do with a better camera.
@@wildhomevideos Thank you really. My video editor does some stabilization but it always looks unnatural. My camera is a Nikon p950 which is feasible handheld and it’s 4K. Cropping does help too. Still I need to be less shaky when filming especially when the light is poor (the Nikon p series doesn’t like poor light). I will try to improve my skills at editing. You know a lot more than I do. Hello !Thank you so much! The weather wasn’t cooperating very much unfortunately. The birds were singing under the rain for the most part. However it got better afterwards.
The flycatchers are the birds all the birdwatchers are after and they always hide in the shade of leaves. And they are very small and keep jumping from branch to branch.
