Interesting question. I was able to find one for sale on Hemmings. www.hemmings.com/listing/1970-dodge-d200-968755 I also read something about long wheel base stepsides being used for government issue trucks. The one for sale was a park department truck.
I have a 1970 Dodge Truck brochure from back in the day, and standard equipment says, "Self-adjusting brakes". Looks like Power Brakes was an option, but it says nothing about disc brakes. I have the disc brake conversion kit from Scarebird. Took me a bit to get it dialed in, but now I am very happy with it. Thanks for watching!!!
Cool deal, man. I have a low mileage 70 Camper Special that I am gradually converting to a 64 short wheelbase. Can't wait to get rid of the dog shit suspension. Piss on that straight axle garbage.
@HyndzyteEngineering I am a Mopar fan, but have been driving my buddy's 73 F100 , and it drives like an Imperial compared to my Sweptline. I am Imressed. I never drove an I beam suspension.
Excited to see how it ends up!
This truck hit the lottery as far as new owners goes…. It looks great!
I've been lookign to lower my 69 1/2 ton dodge Sweptline. Hes been retired from major service for a couple years now i want to cruise him
Question-did dodge ever make a 1970 d200 step side truck ?

Did the 70s come with disc brakes in the front or did you swap them with something? Or is there a kit?

I completely understand. It is a rough ride...

Why on earth would anyone want to lower a 3/4 ton pickup??...or even a half ton one, for that matter....
Well for one so it would fit in the garage, and two because it has been retired from the farm. It won't be hauling much.
