Heading out to Paradise, California today to check out a potential match for the wings to our Trinidad Tb20 that we found were corroded. Hopefully, upon inspecting the new wings and not finding any corrosion, we will be able to box them up and ship them back to the Rescue Hangar and can repair the Abandoned Dream Airplane back to its former glory so it can hit the skies once again!

My grandparents lived on the other side of Paradise for over 20 years before they passed away and are buried there. The airport is on the Chico/Butte side while my grandparents were on the Oriville lake side of of Pence. Drive several times from Sacramento to Paradise. We always stopped at the Marysville Carl's Jr for something to eat/drink.
Funny seeing you guys on this side of the country. Paradise is only 4 hours from me. Nice to see it coming back to life up there. Glad to see the wings work out and hope to see you back out this way some time. Safe travels boys.

I feel ya man, but he did say a few videos back right after Sams passing that they are waiting on parts and this stuff is what they did just before Sam died. They are all still in griving.
That crate put together was insane, i was more invested in the crate than the wings this time 😂😂

Did the abandoned yacht set sail never to return?
Every week I hope to see something of the 401. I've been watching since the beginning I am disappointed the 401 has been put on the back burner.
If you paid attention to the intro of the first video on this particular road trip, the 401 is on a back burner because they are waiting for parts. By the time this series of videos (which was actually only one week, just split into one video per day) is finished, they will have had almost two months for parts to arrive and be installed. There's plenty of content on the 401 following this, I'm sure...
But you can't do videos about how you can't work on your plane because you're waiting for someone else to finish custom-fabricating the parts you need. And he's got to plan ahead for what he's going to work on after the 401 is finished.
I reckon Sam's accident has really affected Rebuild Rescue and that's completely understandable. They've got to mourn and work out what they do next. It's fortuitous they had all this content to keep the channel going through that process.
Oh one more comment.. man on the ride back form the Home Depot.. I realize the 5.5' beds are in 'style' but man I've ALWAYS made sure all my trucks are either 84 or 96" beds..

my brother lived in Paradise, he and his wife barely got out with just the clothes on their backs, fire destroyed everything they had.

It's been a while since a 401 update hope to be soon tho
Here they go, “only have 2 hours to build crates for the wings” seems that a narrow timeline is the norm.
It's because they set an almost-impossible timeline of only spending one day per stop. People forget, this road trip may have eaten a month of video releases, and is working on a second, but the trip itself was only one week...and they decided to do it because they were at a standstill on the 401 until more parts arrived.
Need info on 401 is it still going ahead

Did you consider packing and transporting the wings vertically, with foam between. Instead of ply sheets using 1"x7" strapped around and corner gussets 🪶🪶📐⏸️
Oh and the best plane is already in the hangar. THE MOONEY!
I think you don't need a pick-up truck, instead, you need an Airbus Beluga, which would be quite useful to carry all these things and planes, or at least a Lockheed C-130 Hercules... 😂😂

When does the work on the 401 start again
When they get the parts they've been waiting on. That's the whole reason they took a week to run around the country, and why they're busting their butts to get everything at each stop done in one day. They were at a point where they couldn't make any progress on the 401 until parts arrived, and you don't maintain a UA-cam channel by doing videos about how you can't do anything.
By the time their road-trip series is finished, they will have had about two months for parts to arrive and work to be done.

Hello, I cant believe you were in Sacramento & paradise. Wow! Some friends of mine bouhht a beautiful home in Paradise a couple of months before the fire. Their new home burned to the ground. They lost everything! So did you fly your new plane home from Sacramento? I hope you all are doing a bit better! ❤ Take care !
I'm not sure that Comanche can be saved. The heat may have compromised the aluminum on a molecular level.

The 401 will be finished guys just give them time these videos were recorded before Sam ganow's death plus there still the investigation going on in the background parts are still coming in the guys will be on on it soon support jason and the guys think it was Sam's 401 it will be hard to work to work on as it will remind them of sam every day
That Comanche is not salvageable. If the skin is warped, the frame got hot as well and may have hairline cracks. It’s not worth the safety risk of a rebuild.

to an aviation school where students will get hands on experience. It’ll be good to know it was out to good use instead of continuing to sit.
@@rebuildrescue it would be great for a mechanic school as well. There’s definitely plenty for them to learn to inspect. Not worth putting new parts on obviously but students could learn to inspect for cracks and such.
Have to unsubscribe now. He has had plenty of opportunity to address working on the plane that Sam died in right before it crashed. Seems they are just going to ignore it and continue on with their reckless behavior. I cannot support that. :(
The NTSB has issued a preliminary report, not a final one. As a participant in the investigation they are bound by law to not discuss or speculate on cause or blame.
This is not an airport. No need to announce your departure.

If you want to unsubscribe then do it as at the end of the day they can’t discuss anything about the accident until the final report is back to see if it there fault or just a accident no need to storm in here with negativity! What happened to Sam was bloodly awful!! And there behaviour wasn’t reckless at all they did everything correctly it’s common sense to know they can’t speak about it since they are being investigated people these day

They are stuck on waiting for parts also the "big" work is more or less done in the interim. They are working on the thousands of little things like wiring the 410.

They told us in a video that there would be a long pause on the 401, lots of small tedious work...some people need to learn patience.
They told us they would be providing built up videos while they wait for parts and grieve for the loss of their friend, Sam. You sir, are an idiot.
Literally mentioned in the last few videos they are stuck waiting on parts for the 401. Nothing they can do and doing videos of mundane things like wiring, putting bolts on, thread locking stuff, isn't engaging as the heavy equipment work.
Much rather then continue to put out videos of what they can work on instead of no videos at all. It isn't just about the 401.

People are funny sometimes about UA-camrs. They seem to have their guard up and are kind of clueless. Of course I’m referring to the viewers who can’t seem to shut up about the 401 despite all your efforts to explain the situation. It’s a bigger mission now guys. You know when the 401 will be ready? As soon as possible. If you don’t have faith in Rebuild Rescue maybe it’s best that you find another channel.
