Hii I am from Odisha and we do have a ghostlore name dahani which is saying to be a women aaur woh evening ke baad ghar ke bahar ghum rahe akele baccho ko target karti hain aur unko maar kar kha jaati hain yeh jyada tar un fires ke paas present hoti hain jo ya toh samsan ke pass ho ya phir kisi sunsaan jagah par. Their is a method by which you can summon her during evening you have to go to cemetery and have to call her name 21 times but I personally did it and nothing happened pehle iska kaafi daar tha par urbanization ke wajah se yeh urban legend kind of like fade ho gaya hain puri tarah se.
And second one is niali rakhyaso jo ki NEWS mein bhi aaya tha ,local news mein , jisme kaha jata tha ki koi monster evening mein aakar sheep's
body ko bina koi nukshan kiye sirf teen hole karke usse us sheep ka dil aur blood le leta tha forest department ne kaafi operations chalaye in incidents ko rokne ke liye but they failed and eventually yeh incidents bhi hona band hogaye inse related news ajj bhi UA-cam par hain par woh Local language Odia mein hain , aur yeh incident niali naam ke jagah par hua tha isiliye iska naam niali rakhyaso pada .
      Note:- rakhyaso means monster

05:00 I too got called by nishi so i felt like sharing my story for those who wanna hear. It was 2 years ago on a Tuesday night i was getting ready to go to bed and was preoccupied with thoughts, suddenly i heard my mother calling my name twice, i was almost about to answer when suddenly it hit me, my mother is right beside me already asleep, immediately i remembered the NishiDaak stories my grandparents warned me about, i never thought they would actually call me . I got so terrified i chanted All God's name i could remember the whole night and barely slept. Next morning i told my mother and she hugged me and said "Thank God u didn't answer".

"Baak" a spirit which lives near water bodies and feeds on fish, a very popular ghost folklore in Assam. There are a number of popular stories and regional movies available. They hunt human and posses their victim's dead bodies for their next victim mostly to hunt for fish. It is said that, 'Baak' carries a pouch tied in their lower back which contains all their powers and who ever can snatch or secure that pouch, 'Baak' will become your slave. Also, they are scared of mustard seeds and it is said if you secures the pouch of a 'Baak', you need to place inside a container filled with mustard seeds since the 'Baak' will always try to find it back. If it does, it will hunt you!

I'm a bengali , and I heard a story of Nishi Daak from my grandmother, her father faced this one day , one night while sleeping he felt like a friend was calling him , he got up and opened the door , after that when he came back to senses he saw a white girl in white walking infront of him . and he was following her , no reason why . he was a very religious man . and everyone believes that is why he came back to senses, the woman kept changing forms and he was really far away from his place, he was still following her like she was talking him .. that woman changed into a horse and then to a cat and then to a a woman and he could feel his body was being controlled , he started chanting mantras and gained a little control over his body . and then what he did was really different from other stories, he was chanting mantras and started passing around himself in a big circle . it was bug enough to old anyone from touching him . when he finished it he suddenly saw the woman standing infront of him outside the circle and she changed into a white cat , every form she took was bright white . the cat started scratching the mud , to just remove the protection .. he was too scared to be standing and he fainted ... the next day he was found by the locals in the next village . the place where he was last night was another village . and he fainted there and was found next day at the same spot .. so I can say in my family someone survived from nishi dak and yes these are real .

I'm from Rajasthan and I have heard about SULLIYVAN it's a female entity which is described as very creepy and dangerous.
It is said that it lives at a place where very less people goes around ( jaha bahot kam log guzarte hai ). It is said that they have a fixed area in which they can roam and a fixed time also when they are on a hunt . I have heard that the time in which they hunt are in afternoon and evening when sunsets .
They are dressed in Saree and wear Full india women's cosmetics . But there hair aage chehre pe latke hote hai joh face hide krte hai aur unke nails bahot bade hote hai .
They'll follow you if you pass by there area . First You'll listen there footsteps and sound of Payal following you . You can't turn back its a rule otherwise your dead . Then slowly you'll feel she's coming close to you and if she catches you she'll kill you .
I have heard stories in which the victims had ran fast and crossed there area to be safe as they can't come out of there area .
You can passby there area at time when they are not active but no one exactly knows when SULLIYAVAN is active as the time differs of every victims story.
There's one more thing that I have heard about this is the people with goat ♑ in there Rashi ( horrorscope shyd se ) have more chance of seeing a SULLIYAVAN .
Hope this legend make it to the next videos and plz like if you have read all this . It took a few minutes .

I encountered chakwa while going to Ganpatipule. It all happened because the driver took a wrong turn at night. At a village, a guy told it's 5km away from here and we kept on going and going and there was nothing except dense forests. We also saw an old man walking beside the door limping weirdly despite no settlements around but didn't asked anything to him. Good thing we saw a bike and those 2 people told the correct path. I wonder what that strange old man would had said if we asked him the direction. And you forgot to add munja, the spirit of a Brahmin child.

05:02 ......My mother has actually witnessed a Nishi Daak incident when she was about 7 years old. She and her large family stayed at a hotel in Baranagar in the midst of festive season. She once told me that Nishi Daak always calls with the voice of your family member thrice. If you answered her(Nishi Daak) on the first call then she might take you to the netherworld, answering on the second call ......then you may hear a sound of a coconut falling on ground, and on the third call she'll do nothing. So you should always ans to the third call. My mother heard the sound of her Maternal uncle but fortunately she answered at none .

I witnessed that myself.... In here area it's different like in diwali festival or any other one if you see a flying thing on sky , then don't point your finger to that . cause here ppl think on festive season black magic ppl lock spirits on a container and fire it like a rocket..... So it was when I was 11 and it was diwali festival and me & my elder brother was playing with our neighbour kids on our house street... I unknowingly point my finger towards that flying thing and after seeing this my brother got angry.... Then we hear my mom calling me...but my brother stop me going towards house or answer back.... My mom call me two times more but I didn't respond..... After 5 minutes my brother hold my hand take me inside house and ask if she called me.... Then my mother replied that she didn't and was busy in kitchen. That's make both of us shock and goosebumps

It's a great pleasure to listen the folklours of "Bengal", my birthplace from the most favourate youtuber!!
    Lots of Love!
Some words about the ghosts discussed in the video-
    1. " Mechho Bhut" usually seen near any water bodies. Sometimes people who are carrying fish can also meet them.
    2. "NishiDaak" usually call for two times, this is said that if someone is calling you three times, it isn’t "Nishi".
(Here, the ghost is " Nishi", the word "Daak" means calling in bengali. The phrase "NishiDaak" depicted taken two of the words together.)
    3. "Shakhchurni" is mainly those ladies who have died after marriage having the husband alive.
(It is said that these ghosts were "shankh", the symbol of marriege in Bengal, because they died after marriege.)
    4. " Bramhadaytya" are "brahmin ghosts". When a " brahmin" died, he become a "bramhadyatya". These ghosts are mainly male.

Nishi Daak can happen during late noons too. I've my grandfather experienced it when he was just a young boy pre-partitioned Bengal. He lived in a village where Nishi Daak was notorious and villagers would avoid leaving their houses or going to secluded places during late noons and nights. One night, my grandfather woke up from his sleep and had to leave his house to go to farmland to relieve himself and on the way he heard a very familiar but eerie voice call him out from behind. He was quick to think this couldn't be that person as they left few days ago, so he encircled himself in his urine and stood in that circle until the dawn broke. The entire night he heard different voices calling out his name both affectionately and angrily but one thing was common, they all were eerie in nature. He closed his eyes for the entire time and kept chanting mantras.

There is ghost named churalin (चुरेलिन ) .. that is from a mother who died while giving birth to her child. Her ghost form is terrifying and she targets small children makes them invisible and feed them with the most tasty food until they cry to go back to their actual parents. When they cry she beats them .. parents and other family members are visible to the child and he/she is always around them ... to get their child back and yo protect them.. villagers offer local food, black bangles, black saree with a coconut every festival and also when someone is getting married or guest are arriving with young children... stories says that she lives no tress and when she is cooking her food whole village can smell the essence of it specially during mela ...

I'm from Odisha, Sundargarh . My aunt once told me about a creature that has a body of a cat and wings that of a bat . You can assume it to look like toothless from 'how to train your dragon ' . It drinks blood at night from cows and goats and by morning it would have sucked th animal dry. It lives in forests and would only come out at night. It's known as 'kuhlen budhi' or 'budhi kuhlei' which mean old women kuhlei. I was around 12 or 14 when she told me that saying some kids from her hostel where she works as a teacher had killed it and some teachers had its photo. The origin story is that her husband once got fed of her and then asked her to climb a tall tree with him once up he asked her to sit there while he will be back in a moment. As he climbed down he removed the pegs in the tree they used to climb and the women got stuck there starved and then died , there she was reborn as 'budhi kuhlei'.

Being a Bengali, I felt your video is one of those uncommon videos which precisely carves the Bengali and Assamese authenticity of Oral-ghost folklore. Thank you for sharing those amazing legends ,I love to hear ghost stories, so can't wait for the next part ❤️❤️😊
By the way I am from bengal, Here are three points I want to add about bramhadaitya that I heard from our elders -
1.Bramhadaityas are the spirits of those bramhan boys who are died within the period ( From the day of their 'mundan' to the completion of all rituals), and during that time that boy is forbade to see the sun so he is not allowed to go outside of their house.
    2. they are said to be one of the most powerful spirit among all the ghosts which are seen in india. They have immense power that even the 'Tantriks' fear to mess with them.
    3. In Bengal, I am not sure may be in other states also, people worship them and they are basically found on some specific trees. They are generally good spirit. In fact, here in my village we have one such tree 😀

Actually Nishir daak is not the whole name.... 'nishi' is the name of the supernatural entity/ghost and daak means any 'call' so the literal translation goes by the call of the dark....it is believed that nishi can call you only 2 times in the voice of your loved ones so it is always advised by the elderly to wait for the third time if someone calls you at night

Finally having toured the world, we are back to India to experience the rich ghostlore.
    Very nice haunting tube.
I wish our bollywood directers and acters turned their attention from making movies depicting romance and love affairs to making movies based on historical topics and various real ghost stories.
History because it is imperative for us to be well wersed with our country's 5000 years old rich history all of which cannot be taught in schools to students for obvious reasons.
So movies are the only means left to educate them about incidents and kings on which history books are silent.
And ghosts because its always good to have fun if we wish to live as lively and chearloving beings.

I'm from Uttarakhand, and lived in the mountainous regions my whole childhood, but I'd never heard of the ghosts you mentioned here. 🙈🙈 Still, there were multiple instances where people felt the presence of someone sinister, especially at night. It wasn't that of a child, but a woman.
Someone I knew was a doctor, and went to see a patient at night. He returned to his room around 11:30, but as clock struck past midnight, he felt someone was strangling him. He felt the door of his room open and then slam shut. He started to recite Hanuman Chalisa. The sinister presence left. The next morning he found out the patient he'd seen the last night had passed away. It was either her ghost or some other presence.

In Bengal we have brahmadatya truly , the ghost of brahmin boy. He's supposed to be near water bodies. Rabindra nath tagore had many paranormal experiences and even in his own childhood home which is described in thakur barir bhooter goppo - book. There's a famous photo of his supposedly ghostly shadow of his wife after her death. Just fyi if you find it interesting. Even my grandmother used to say her father heard nishi dak once. My hometown was in barrackpore where the river side has it's own stories and my uncle experienced a very weird thing while he was sleeping in his quarters. He heard carriages and people speaking in English on the BT road. He was too afraid to look outside but his servant heard it too. I'm sure the abandoned villas have their own entities. My school was in that area and i have heard so many experiences from my teacher. There was one in which she saw the glimpse of a lady in Victorian clothing standing near a small pond. In a jiffy she was gone. Dalhousie square has it's own ghost stories and i can't say so much here but my grandpa knew those. That's why I'm so attached to such tales. He saw something himself as a child and then adult . I believe him. He also used to mention a seven feet tall shadow in his village:- saatmajhari they called him. He was harmless just standing by the road side. They said he was a giant who died in the area while young.

Also while growing up in a village, ive always heard stories about lost spirits called "Pahon" and another mischievious one known as "Bira" who instead of harming people creates ruckus among them, throws stone at their roof, and what not..

In Assam ‘Baak' is similar to ‘Micho bhoot' as Baak also likes to eat fish and he stays at water. Anyone who will go fishing at night he will make them his victim. He has his life kept in a small bag or potli. And yeah he can shape sift. There once a famous true story about a baak, two brothers were fish in their boat then suddenly the younger brother went Missing. The Baak killed him and took his place so that he would get to eat fish. The elder brother soon realised that his brother is not his real brother as fishes were missing. So he told him to go in the water and direct the fish to come their way so that the elder brother can net them. So after convincing him to go in the water the elder brother threw a net on him as he knws that Baak can't escape nets. So he ask him what did he do to his brother, the baak replied that he killed him. So the elder brother ordered him to give his ‘potli'(which has his life in it) otherwise he won't release him, so the baak did as the elder brother told him to do. Then the brother ordered him to take his younger brother's form as he has a wife. So the baak did as he was told and went home as the younger brother.

they were traveling on a cycle through a mountain area from my mum's maayeka to my dad's village house..in those times cycle and bus was the only way to travel, so after traveling the whole day, it started to sunset when they reached the mountain area, there was a short-cut way across the mountain, so they thought to take it, but little did they know they had to go through a trap of chakva. no matter how many they passed that short-cut, they always came back to the beginning of the village where the board is posted as name of the village Ambel. when they got tired of rounding circles over n over again, at first they doubted themselves as may be they were so tired of riding bicycle for hours n might be seeing things, but soon they realized it's not normal.. n my mama/uncle realized that it must be chakva, so when they reached to the beginning where the three roads met, he said loudly "the road I choose is the right path and it will lead us to our home, God is with us" and after that they safely reached the right road breaking the loop.

As according to my family the area where we used to live was the land used for executing people and the king gave the land to people to reside their. However I always used to feel like this story is not true at all. But in 2007 the same incident of encountering with sarkata happened with my father, his driver and 2 other people while they were returning late at night from some other city. They saw a man wearing white shirt and forwarding his hand as he was asking for ride. It was raining and the driver had trouble seeing the face but when they were like 10-15 feets away from him they saw that the man had no head. When they came home they told us this story. I still don't know whether they exist or not but few other have claimed of seeing sarkata. We don't know if even they exist then how many of them are there because we don't even know how many people have been executed at that land.

Born again Christians have the authority to rebuke them in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST! How to become born again? Thank JESUS for paying for your sins on the cross and HIS resurrection on the 3rd day!!! It must come from the bottom of your heart and don't forget, JESUS is GOD, see John 1! Don't give demons a foothold and don't contact them, the Bible strictly forbids occultism and spiritism. My father told me once time, that when they were young, my father like to fish in the night time, so they go the village's canal in night time, they saw a man at the corner side of river, they thought he was villager, so they gave the voice, but he didn't replayed. So they go close to him, he was just putting his head in the canal, father thought he is weird, but when they reached close. Moon's reflection to the water revealed his face. Father got sudden shocked. My father had a big stick (lathi). So he tried to hit him, he had big beak and red eyes and long legs. But suddenly he jumped into canal. After that, my father never tried to go there.many villagers told that they also saw that gost in canal's road.. My father was not laying. I can assured that.

Maisa dw is very popular in lower Assam .
It is a creature lives in water and can change its form to both male and female.
Mostly it takes form of local fishermen.
It becomes more easy to convince its victims.
Victim of maisa dw can be anyone of any age.
Even it is not in its real form still it remains slippery and have a constant bad odour.
Victim can only survive it he/she can bring maisa dw to land area. As a sea creature it cannot stay on land for a long time . that's why maisa dw make any excuse and returns to water.

    Daini
    Petni
    Mamdo bhoot
    Pisach
    some of the famous ones.
It is quite unbelievable nowadays but my grandmother said me that during her childhood her father used to get up at midnight and start fishing all night till early morning return back home with no fish and sleep but doesn't remember a single thing the next day... It's somewhat like sleepwalking or sleep'fishing' u can say. On Asking he said he could only remember someone calling his name during his sleep.

Sir, I am from Bengal. To Nishi daak me, according to the stories and/or legends, Nishi daak is related to kaala jaadu. Usme, I don't know but jb kisi ki tabiyat bht kharab ho jati h aur koi v tarike se use bachaya nhi ja pata, tb with the help of Nishi daak, raat ko koi ek healthy person ko uska naam le k bulaya jata h with a half coconut with water in hand.vo kala jadu kiya hua coconut hota h according to the stories. If that person ek baar me hi answer de deta h to uski awaj ko uss coconut me kaid kr k uss sick person ko pila diya jata h. Next day sick person ko tabiyat ek dum healthy person jaisi and healthy person ko tabiyat ek dum sick person jaisi ho jati h. Basically they switched their health or something.
Bengal me local aur v bhrt pret h like petni (generally called dab gacher petni), sakchunni, mamdo, etc.

well tbh your explanation about NISHI DAAK actually kinda frightened me....
i belong from a bengali family in tripura...one day when i was sleeping, with my parents beside me. i heard a doorbell, which was kinda loud and clear and heard the voice of my music teacher, who often comes to my house to teach me. i immediately woke up straight in my bed and got down at once and start to proceed towards the main door (idk why i was i a hurry). My parents who were already awake by my sound asked me what happened and why i was in a hurry. I told them that i heard the doorbell maybe my music teacher is out side. they exchanged a glace with each other and asked me what doorbell and at this hour?. i again started to proceed thinking that my teacher must be waiting. but they immediately stopped me and told me to look at the time and not to go outside at any cost. they told me that i must have seen a dream and nothing else.
next day when i woke up i couldn't remember whole but my parents narrated me the whole incident. even i thought i was acting a bit weird. honestly i don't actually belive that these ghost are some sort of scary creature (they can be a form of energy tho) but this was really a weird thing

Once my elder sister was tempted by a nasha daak, she was around 5 or 6 years old that time. Every day early morning a uncle use to take kids for morning walk, he use to call my sisters name and they use to go with him. One morning my sister name was called n she came out running n my mother also came out with her bt my mother didn't let her go that day as it was too dark that day. The next morning my mother asked that uncle why you came so early yesterday then he revealed I was out of town yesterday i returned today . Since that day my mother Forbidded my sisters early morning walk. It was god grace my sister was saved that day.
