One of the best athletes I've ever seen..he went to high school right down the street from me and his junior and senior years were big time filling arenas like an NBA game but he never developed a good handle I do think if he played today hed be maybe an igoudala role maybe stretch 4 he could shoot and my God he had hops..wish things would've turned out better
I remember seeing him walking the halls in elementary school, and thinking man he is tall. Dude was just taller than everyone, it was insane. Rest up 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Man rest in power up there stix...this kills me about him passing last night. He was my dads student aid his senior year I was just a skinny sophomore...he dominated Alabama high school baskets doing dunks in games I never saw..
He could shoot he couldn't handle the ball that well..he was my dads student aid his senior year in high school he was a good kid but just didnt work in the nba
I believe he got drafted by the magic in the late second round, but he didn't get a chance to play with the team, more then likely he's making his money playing overseas.
@@largec he did 2nd round pick I got to watch alot of his games in high school...in the final 4 he ran through a passing lane went up for a windmill and I kid you not the opposing point guard had to jump to grab his legs and flagrantly foul him. Which just ended with one of the best poster dunks I will ever see. Stix was a beast...the only thing that held him back was being a play maker of the dribble but if he played today with "positionless basketball" I believe he could have atleast been in the dunk contest or all defensive team..that was pre steph curry james harden
I agree, I would love to see a Jerome Dyson mix, It's really heartbreaking that he was not drafted into the NBA, hopefully he is making good money overseas, he's one hell of a talent.
@ 4:37 I was watching this game at home, UCONN vs Marquette, this was the night I decided I wanted to play for UCONN cause Stixs was dunking everything he touched, I remember screaming when Stixs dunked and he was screaming and my mother was looking at me crazy like why you screaming. I never seen a basketball player put on a show like the way Stanley Robinson did, been my favorite player ever since that game. Hasheem Thabeet, AJ Price & Dyson were already my guys but Stixs was the dunk machine.
Stixx was my dads student aid his senior year in high school..he was legendary down here man he was supposed to be the one from Birmingham to be a star in the league...I think uconn wasnt the best fit looking back.
I hope you find peace Stanley . . . my favorite UConn player of them all. Rest easy.
How did he die?
MAN , boy had hops .. RIP STICKS ! 🙏🏼
rest in peace sticks. you will be missed. he passed away today age 32
lmao my dude screamed after literally every dunk
Most of these on tip slams... I'd be hyped too just saying
It's called attacking the basket when you dunk it with fury.
@@largec couldn't have said it better
That was sticks always brought energy to the game

Instead of the Wilhelm Scream, filmmakers need to start sampling the Stanley Scream.
RIP Stanley Robinson, I saw it when he was playing in Chile. Great player.
That move and dunk at 11:17 though.
RIP 🙌🏾
Boy if Stan had a jumpshot he wouldve been special.

When Stanley hits you with a pro hop, it's GG.
Best uconn mix, really appreciate it. We need Jerome Dyson next

RIP Sticks, I remember being at the game for the dunk against Texas. Never experienced anything like that in sports since.
