Pro-Q 3 improves on its predecessor in every area, introducing Dynamic EQ, surround support, per-band mid/side processing and much more, while maintaining the pristine sound quality and exceptional ease of use for which Pro-Q has always been known.
FabFilter Pro-Q 3 will be available for EUR 149, USD 179 or GBP 134, supporting both Windows and macOS in VST and VST 3, Audio Units, AAX and AudioSuite plug-in formats. Bundles with FabFilter Pro-Q 3 and other FabFilter plug-ins are also available at: www.fabfilter.com/shop.

@Blue Waffle Well yeah, but it's not QUITE a proper EQ, or pretty much not an EQ at all for at least how I use it. The Q3 will just be the best thing in the history of FabFilter Plugins.

You guys have the best tools. Q2 and MB are my go-to when I need that type of tools in-the-box. You should do video tutorials about FabFilter plugins more often and cover a large scope of music genres, you'd multiply your number of subscribers big time! :) Can't wait to upgrade to Q3!

Yep, but I meant tutorials by FabFilter themselves. If you go to their channel, they have a few but they don't release tutorials on a regular basis in different mixing configurations. Softube recently released a video on how to mix opera and classical music with their console 1. I found it refreshing.

Pro-q has been my go to eq for a while, and the only thing it was lacking was the dynamic option. Now I don't know why I would open up any other eq. This is it!

I seriously waited a whole year for black Friday because I knew there would be a sale and I could get as many fabfilter plugins as possible. I spent a little more than I was comfortable with and while I have been happy with my decision it still was a little nerve wracking. Now that I know I will be getting this upgrade for free my worries have not only disappeared but it also is now easily one of the best software purchases I have ever made.

@Miguel Varela Ramos Exactly! Pro-Q should probably be THE go-to EQ in every DAW, since it is undoubtedly one of if not THE best available, is low latency and low CPU usage, and soon to become even better in v3.

Use FabFilter in all my productions, easily my number 1 go to plugin. The addition of being able to view the other spectrums at the same time looks decent. Im interested to see the release of this, will there be a discount for those of us upgrading from Pro-Q 2?

This will spark the classic but justified discussion: What even is the difference between a compressor and a dynamic EQ?
Dynamic EQ is just a compressor but on one of those EQ notches. Compressor is for the entire sound.

I think there practically is absolutely no actual difference.

Please make the new ProQ 3 able to load presets from the previous ProQ 2 ... For easy backwards compatability and integration of ProQ 3 into existing projects that are currently using ProQ 2. This made the previous switchover from ProQ 1 to ProQ 2 very easy. I hope you will repeat this policy with this latest iteration.
Pro-Q 3 is able to load preset from both V1 and V2

I know it's a stretch but I'm guessing there's no backwards compatibility with pro-q2 in existing projects? (ie if no pro-q2 is installed it will replace it with pro-q3)
No, we've chosen to let both versions co-exists to ensure your old sessions will sound 100% the same
@@fabfilter That IS a great call! Sometimes I just want the simple perfection of my ProQ2. Note: to ANYONE who, at present hasn't purchased FF software, you will find it to be incredibly stable, beautiful to look at, easy to work with, incredibly flexible, and most importantly, pristine audio quality. I DO NOT, nor never have worked for FF...but they sure do work for ME. Awesome software.

@@Drfresh1402 Wrong, I've been using Pro Q-2 and Pro MB for 3 years now, thoroughly impressed and use in every single one of my compositions. However I have also been working with neutron 2 a lot recently and find the dynamic eq and learn functions pretty groundbreaking.
