I think it is correct change for now, gear stats should be like they are now after the update, but if we are to go true dungeon crawler genre, there has to be way more atrifact/mini/smaller special artifact/items, that makes players experiment with them, dungeon crawling is not about making the area a Battle Royale or MOBA. We still have to see procedural dungeons so adventuring is not reduced to "farming" maps going the same route over and over. And players who yearn for stricte PVP will have Arena so i think that's fine, also adds more flavour into dungeon diving to build your own kit!
i feel like getting legendary can still feel AWESOME IF multiple sub stat roll correctly. so you still need/want legendary items for the potential of many good substats. they just hurts a lot of grinder, where the dopamine hit is in finding gear. i feel like there is so much potential in this game and its just sad they are busy being bullied by big company with court stuff (more paper work? costing money?). i think we just need to let them cook and understand their man power is low so its a long process.
I don’t hate the idea, I hate how it was implemented. Shrinking the gear disparity is probably good overall. But there should be SOME variance. Maybe the range is 3-6 instead of 1-7 like before. Everything being 5 makes looting less exciting, you don’t know if you got anything worth while until you examine all of the random rolls. I also don’t think we needed the -15 hp on all classes
True, its crazy hes still not doomer pilled for wizard though. -15 hp is kinda crazy for us we gonna be so squish. Barbs are gonna be a rampant nuisance as well, i think this is going to be miserable for a bit lol
We had under 25 gear score lobby’s that took care of the newbies, arena mode for the PVP feigns and the above 25 gear score/high roller for the looting dopamine and pvp combo. i thought they were on the right track but this is a pretty ass change tbh…

After playing a few hours this patch so far it feels actually pretty good, it feels more likely to be able to pull off 3v1 situations as the solo now, it feels much more skill based where as before if you ran normals and found any sort of gear it was a near guarantee you win in pvp situations@Krunchtastic727

Thats not how i wanna play this game, i had a lot of fun through the ups and downs but this just takes the fun out of looting entirely for me. They buff gear then make the buff almost obsolete with the change, how do you react to a change this well received by nuking it...

Seeing CNGblade complain about this really means the patch is cooked... I read the patch notes and was optimistic that it would be playable. I tried around 20 runs but experienced the same thing. Killed players, killed wyvern, killed double boss in gobbo caves but did not have fun. Killing players was pointless and 99% of the loot was useless. The only good loot I got was the froststone ore and troll pelt/blood/gold. Please ironhammer fix this, I love the game but this is just unfun
it's so weird to me that they just let SDF change the game like this. I know they have investors and it's insane to me that this guy is just given free reign to push a change like this to the live servers mid-season
It's a simple test. The reason this happened is because people complain too much. There's a million barbs complaining that fighters are too strong and a million fighters saying barbarians are too strong. And same for all classes. Let ironmace actually focus on more content rather than constant balancing that is back and forth each week. It's so simple yet people just complain too much (I am not talking about the creater of this video)

Balance was pretty ok before this patch, but now they just destroyed it. So now they HAVE TO change the balance again, they should honestly completely revert this patch. But they wont. if we want ironmace to focus on content instead of balance i agree, but that is no longer possible now, they completely lost the plot and destroyed balance. So there is no longer a solid base to build the game off, the foundation is destroyed. So focusing on content now is a bad idea, they need to fix the foundation again.

Flattening the curve for how item stats actually apply to players stats would have been the best option in my opinion. This allows all the items to keep their base stats and for progression to still exist, but the actual gap in player stats between bis and squire gear will be much smaller. This is also important because it lets players keep the perception of gear progression even if the progression is significantly flattened.
I think your take is right on. The good version of this would definetly be just bringing up grey gear to +3 (no rolls) of a stat (agi for loose for example) and thus making the difference less.
I don't think you should see it as permanent. They did explain, as others have mentioned here, that the nerfs were intended to make the loot net effects more predictable in order to balance the characters, one of the primary sources of frustration with the game in the first place.
Keep base stats same remove useless stats like interaction speed, condense stats so they arent convoluted like Will+mag/Strength/phys power phys damage bonus power just make it one stat. This way a timmy can loot boxes and actually build stats he wants instead of finding 15 things in a row with straight deadstats making them unable to do anything
Yea, I've only been looting for my character only for a long time now. i dont really sell anything, but I feel like this patch was good in the way that this allows them to rebalance gear, but the barb buffs are like over the top... im sure they would have been fine in a lower ttk world without massive buffs. I think the power gap was a little too much for some of the things like double ms rolls or double hp rolls.
the fact that this update is generally widely hated actually gives me hope. i think they will revert this within a week or two. or, they won't, in which case GG dark and darker. it was a good run.
I agree to the changes in the gear, it's a good change for casual players & longevity of the game... However, I disagree with how they're dropping TTK. They should do the opposite, they should INCREASE HP for each character by 30 or more. I would say the change that's needed is the random attributes should roll diffferently... For example, for a Blue Item, random attribute rolls for xyz would be 2... But for a purple, it would be 3, for legendary, 4.. Static rolls would be no different across colored items, but the random rolls should have difference in rolls.. So Blues could get anywhere from 1-2, purple 1-3, legendary 1-4... So the random attribute rolls would be the MAIN thing to look at when looting items.
I’ve never been one to complain about this game. I don’t care if fighter is op if ranger traps are op if warlock is op. It’s the meta and the meta changes. This is just insane though what is the point anymore. I think the developers inexperience is showing.
Reduce the range of base stats. Squire gear with base legend stats is wild. Maybe base magic damage values could look something like: Poor = 2 Common/Uncommon = 3 Rare/Epic = 4 Legend/Unique = 5
3955 hours in the game, I never stopped more than a few days to rest and do other things. I always played tryhard or at least I tried as much as I could but today I say goodbye too. Until a new change I won't come back, I don't think I'll play another game because I honestly don't like any of them so I'll just have faith and wait doing something else
I made a wizard gear with 140 hp, 305 move speed and 50% magical power (I know it's not the way you usually do it but it's mine, I'm also an otp wizard) I made 4 gears almost the same spending +90k gold and I didn't even enjoy it, it was good but I didn't enjoy anything.
I had fun in the first match of this patch, then all lost sense, no more excitement by finding gear, no mor fun killing mobs after one loadout that kill goblins with 1 hit, only frustration by finding rare gear that wasn't better than my squire gear... if the developers enhance the base stats of gear a little less but kept the progression between gear stat and rarity maybe would maintain the loot drive, but in this way we got a looting game that don't stimulate you to loot.
I think the changes are alright. Rolls and a cohesive kit are more important than before. I hope they focus on changing/adding core gameplay mechanics. And I hope they let the meta settle.
I agree with this. It’s still fun because I feel more powerful, but loot just seems like you don’t need it anymore no more rush when you get a rare or epic. They could have just increase the loot pool even more and enemy drops for more crafting recipes.
Ironmace just keeps on screwing their game. This patch is definitely killing the game with gear change, barb buffs, magic classes are screwed since no changes to MR but PDR was redeluced.
If they had greens and blue with the same static roll, and the same with purps and legendaries, with uniques 1 step above that, i think this couldve been a w update. I like the nerf to random rolls, but currently theres no motivation to wear something above blue or purple inless you just want drip or have 4-5 good random rolls on your gear. Ill still play, but mostly to see where this all ends up. Step 1 of the SDF dream is still far from the end im sure.
I bought like 8 Plate boots with double speed, since they are decent and i like high power. They need to have double rolls tho, otherwise you simply cant move. no point having high str when you run with 285 ms. All these Boots are now worthless to me. i was super hyped to play them and bought together different kits. i had a lot of fun, woke up this morning to see that all these boots are worthless now. Now i will have to hop on the Train of laced +5 Boots.... I get that they wanna reduce gear diffing, which is a good goal to have. Hitting jewelry was a good call, they gave way too high stats, a legendary frost gave as much as the entire rest of your kit in terms of true dmg. They didnt flatten the curve tho, they erased it. you pick up a blue armor piece and it can be worth less than your squire one, if its armor roll is lower and it has stats like knowledge memcap for fighter. It feels extremly unsatisfying how the entire system is focused on random rolls now, no point upgrading quality, theres nothing to gain. No more weighing the rolls vs the base stats. you just click the rolls you want and take the cheapest piece, makes looting really unsatisfying, got my first unique item and dropped it. had bad rolls, what is a unique sallet gonna give me if it has no desired roll on it, i could take a white one and have the same value.
flatting out base stats without adding sockets is a big problem for me. Game is lacking end game and gear was giving at least some of that. But now its also gone

At first I actually liked the changes, but after about winning my third fight it really sunk in, im glad I'm not the only one who was thinking this, I killed those players in the third fight and wasn't even excited. What's the point.
Not necessarily a bad change to make to the gear system however could not have had worse timing, definitely should’ve been with a new wipe and not after players farming bis for weeks
Agreed With everything you said. Core Gameplay has taken a big hit. Even though drop rate went up, players mindset for this patch will likely be similar to two patches ago; IE: Looting Mobs and most Chests are a waste of time. I would say though that now, there’s much more skill required to win fights since they closed the gap in equipment. However some classes will be very strong in any bracket. I’m 50/50 this patch. I’m just waiting to see what else will be added at this point (like gem sockets from equipment, etc.)
My more casual friends like these changes very much, I am still building my opinion on it, but it starts to lean in positive, builds will be different and casters are actual viable in squire tier, it was a little bit tiresome to get stomped by 400-500 GS players the moment I left 124 bracket before, at least now I will have real fighting chance instead of having to bend over backwards to overcome stat check with skill, but the TTK change itself, I'm not a fan of it, I'm playing DaD and not Tarkov specifically because engagements take longer and are more strategic, tho with barbarian que, sorry, I meant with new solo que, it does feel like tarkov now.
I Lost so many items due to the items substats changes , but thats not the problem about this patch , this reducing in hp's gonna make this game easier for rogues a barbarians , so sad seeing one of the greatest game i played dying slowly because of poor decision making .
i don't think this patch is good but I also have fun from the experience of fighting and winning fights. as a new player I don't know the boss fights yet and I'm wasn't yet able to get the best gear until the last patch where it now rains from the sky. I was fine with building from experience but some gear squishing does improve my odds in fights where someone just won't die no matter how many times I hit them. Like i said, I agree with your points, this patch isn't it, but i don't think my fun is ruined entirely. I can respect a dev team that is willing to learn from mistakes and roll back buffs to already meta dominate classes. 😮
I just started playing the game 2 days ago. I found the struggle of playing low gear vs high gear and actually looting someone with high gear felt so rewarding. The reason I got the game was for the snowball aspect. With that gone it feels like I wasted $30

I feel exactly the same about the gear changes. I don't feel like playing the game anymore. If I wanted to just go pvp melee/archer team/deathmatch game without gear progression, id go play Mordhau or Chivalry 2. Those games have way better and mroe fun combat mecahnics than Dark and Darker.

We should lock SDF in a dark room. Item changes could turn out good aside from fucking with in game economy, but some of these other changes are insane. Barb buffs AND reducing max health by 15 across the board is asinine.

This just made it so there's only a few ways to build classes. Before u could have so many different. Builds but now they are not possible. I go into first game after patch 30k kit and from 324 ms down to 316. Made my build unusable. Couldn't outrun any barbs
bruh, I had a knowledge, max health, double ms roll frostlight lightfoots and they rerolled my additional ms instead of the bonus ms like they said they would. and for some reason the max health also got rerolled. went from like 15k gold easily to maybe 500. I'm honestly done with this game. every patch has been a disappointment. the game had a ton of potential, but the devs don't understand the basics of game design. I'll still watch your vids since I like your content, but I'm done getting burned for spending my time playing this game. TL;DR worst patch in the history of the game. everyone is gonna stop playing

Problem is SDF's vision seems to really be "type 2 fun" -Which is to say he wants players to feel the type of satisfaction you get from climbing a mountain, almost getting frostbite and getting home with hypothermia. It's really not fun while you're there, it's a painful struggle, but then you look back on what you achieved and reminisce because of those few nice moments of triumph. That's type 2 fun. Games can be a struggle, like "Getting over it" but if you look at it objectively, Who wants to go through all that for minimal enjoyment? Hell Divers was popular because it focused on fun. SDF seems to be focused on players having a good story after they have played at the expense of fun. Some people will be in to that, most won't. Especially when you consider the sheer amount of knowledge that is required to become half decent at DaD. This patch does not help the new player-onboarding problem at all. And then he gets sad because no one sticks around to endure the punishment..

I stopped playing after the last patch that put purples and legendarys in damn near every chest... seemed like it took away the grind of having to search and search for good gear... now they took that good gear and nerfed it into the ground.... they seem like theyre purposefully killing the game... I was so hyped at the beginning of this wipe... I thought the game was in the best state its ever been.... Having second thoughts on that now... seems like my favorite game is on its death bed... sad to see

do something like this at the start of the wipe. last patch was so much more fun it gave me a reason to play, normals before the loot buff was really boring. questing felt like a chore imo. but after the loot buff. I started questing on alt characters for fun while we looted and pvp'd and had fun. it was a great. but now this patch #69 actually ruined everything. there is no point to loot anymore. pvp feels souless now there is no reason for gear it hurts to see this happen so much. i wish they'd just admit defeat and and revert this one. they have the power to revert a patch, we have seen it before back when there was a bug at 3am couple months ago. you could run your best stuff ever, if you died. relog and you will have everything you had from 3am. those couple hours were so much fun, the pvp was crazy. now the game feels souless
Im fine with them trying out drastically different ideas in EA, not really concerned when its not full release yet, would rather them try out all kinds of diff balancing before making a decision on the final product. Also been hilarious bonk wizarding Barbs who think they can brainless run at me after these buffs. Slower TTK sucks though ill say that, hope that doesnt stick.
I like it, gear checking in a PvP games removes skill requirements. There are plenty of games where you can grind better loot for the dopamine hit, this shouldn't be the key focus of this style of game IMO.

This is a move to try and bring in newer players to increase the longevity of the game. I dislike the idea of being able to 1v3, this isn't Hunt or Tarkov, it's Chivalry with loot. But you need to realize that this is all I.M. trying to make the game as appealing to new players as possible. Please take a break from gaming, it really helps in times like this.

I think SDF’s vision is entirely fucked. Gear squish isn’t bad, but lowering the TTK as massively as they did is an awful, awful idea.
The barbarian buffs are probably going to be insane with the health changes. Gotta be fast in this patch now more than ever.

Balance was pretty ok before this patch, but now they just destroyed it. So now they HAVE TO change the balance again, they should honestly completely revert this patch. But they wont. if we want ironmace to focus on content instead of balance i agree, but that is no longer possible now, they completely lost the plot and destroyed balance. So there is no longer a solid base to build the game off, the foundation is destroyed. So focusing on content now is a bad idea, they need to fix the foundation again.

Hotfix 68 was probably one of the best versions of the game we've had, just for them to absolutely cook the game in Hotfix 69. 😔

Flattening the curve for how item stats actually apply to players stats would have been the best option in my opinion. This allows all the items to keep their base stats and for progression to still exist, but the actual gap in player stats between bis and squire gear will be much smaller. This is also important because it lets players keep the perception of gear progression even if the progression is significantly flattened.
I think your take is right on. The good version of this would definetly be just bringing up grey gear to +3 (no rolls) of a stat (agi for loose for example) and thus making the difference less.

I don't think you should see it as permanent. They did explain, as others have mentioned here, that the nerfs were intended to make the loot net effects more predictable in order to balance the characters, one of the primary sources of frustration with the game in the first place.

Keep base stats same
remove useless stats like interaction speed, condense stats so they arent convoluted like Will+mag/Strength/phys power phys damage bonus power just make it one stat.
This way a timmy can loot boxes and actually build stats he wants instead of finding 15 things in a row with straight deadstats making them unable to do anything

Yea, I've only been looting for my character only for a long time now. i dont really sell anything, but I feel like this patch was good in the way that this allows them to rebalance gear, but the barb buffs are like over the top... im sure they would have been fine in a lower ttk world without massive buffs. I think the power gap was a little too much for some of the things like double ms rolls or double hp rolls.
They had it so good with the last patch buffing the loot everywhere. Everyone had an opportunity to gear up and feel progression towards something

I agree to the changes in the gear, it's a good change for casual players & longevity of the game... However, I disagree with how they're dropping TTK. They should do the opposite, they should INCREASE HP for each character by 30 or more. I would say the change that's needed is the random attributes should roll diffferently... For example, for a Blue Item, random attribute rolls for xyz would be 2... But for a purple, it would be 3, for legendary, 4.. Static rolls would be no different across colored items, but the random rolls should have difference in rolls.. So Blues could get anywhere from 1-2, purple 1-3, legendary 1-4... So the random attribute rolls would be the MAIN thing to look at when looting items.
I’ve never been one to complain about this game. I don’t care if fighter is op if ranger traps are op if warlock is op. It’s the meta and the meta changes. This is just insane though what is the point anymore. I think the developers inexperience is showing.
Reduce the range of base stats. Squire gear with base legend stats is wild. Maybe base magic damage values could look something like:
Poor = 2
Common/Uncommon = 3
Rare/Epic = 4
Legend/Unique = 5
3955 hours in the game, I never stopped more than a few days to rest and do other things. I always played tryhard or at least I tried as much as I could but today I say goodbye too. Until a new change I won't come back, I don't think I'll play another game because I honestly don't like any of them so I'll just have faith and wait doing something else
I made a wizard gear with 140 hp, 305 move speed and 50% magical power (I know it's not the way you usually do it but it's mine, I'm also an otp wizard) I made 4 gears almost the same spending +90k gold and I didn't even enjoy it, it was good but I didn't enjoy anything.
I had fun in the first match of this patch, then all lost sense, no more excitement by finding gear, no mor fun killing mobs after one loadout that kill goblins with 1 hit, only frustration by finding rare gear that wasn't better than my squire gear... if the developers enhance the base stats of gear a little less but kept the progression between gear stat and rarity maybe would maintain the loot drive, but in this way we got a looting game that don't stimulate you to loot.
Well boys it looks like the annual minecraft binge is a better option. At least I'll feel rewarded for my efforts..
I think the changes are alright. Rolls and a cohesive kit are more important than before. I hope they focus on changing/adding core gameplay mechanics. And I hope they let the meta settle.
I agree with this. It’s still fun because I feel more powerful, but loot just seems like you don’t need it anymore no more rush when you get a rare or epic. They could have just increase the loot pool even more and enemy drops for more crafting recipes.
Ironmace just keeps on screwing their game. This patch is definitely killing the game with gear change, barb buffs, magic classes are screwed since no changes to MR but PDR was redeluced.
If they had greens and blue with the same static roll, and the same with purps and legendaries, with uniques 1 step above that, i think this couldve been a w update. I like the nerf to random rolls, but currently theres no motivation to wear something above blue or purple inless you just want drip or have 4-5 good random rolls on your gear. Ill still play, but mostly to see where this all ends up. Step 1 of the SDF dream is still far from the end im sure.
I bought like 8 Plate boots with double speed, since they are decent and i like high power. They need to have double rolls tho, otherwise you simply cant move. no point having high str when you run with 285 ms. All these Boots are now worthless to me. i was super hyped to play them and bought together different kits. i had a lot of fun, woke up this morning to see that all these boots are worthless now. Now i will have to hop on the Train of laced +5 Boots....
I get that they wanna reduce gear diffing, which is a good goal to have. Hitting jewelry was a good call, they gave way too high stats, a legendary frost gave as much as the entire rest of your kit in terms of true dmg. They didnt flatten the curve tho, they erased it. you pick up a blue armor piece and it can be worth less than your squire one, if its armor roll is lower and it has stats like knowledge memcap for fighter. It feels extremly unsatisfying how the entire system is focused on random rolls now, no point upgrading quality, theres nothing to gain. No more weighing the rolls vs the base stats. you just click the rolls you want and take the cheapest piece, makes looting really unsatisfying, got my first unique item and dropped it. had bad rolls, what is a unique sallet gonna give me if it has no desired roll on it, i could take a white one and have the same value.
flatting out base stats without adding sockets is a big problem for me. Game is lacking end game and gear was giving at least some of that. But now its also gone

At first I actually liked the changes, but after about winning my third fight it really sunk in, im glad I'm not the only one who was thinking this, I killed those players in the third fight and wasn't even excited. What's the point.
Not necessarily a bad change to make to the gear system however could not have had worse timing, definitely should’ve been with a new wipe and not after players farming bis for weeks

Core Gameplay has taken a big hit. Even though drop rate went up, players mindset for this patch will likely be similar to two patches ago; IE: Looting Mobs and most Chests are a waste of time.
I would say though that now, there’s much more skill required to win fights since they closed the gap in equipment. However some classes will be very strong in any bracket.
I’m 50/50 this patch. I’m just waiting to see what else will be added at this point (like gem sockets from equipment, etc.)
My more casual friends like these changes very much, I am still building my opinion on it, but it starts to lean in positive, builds will be different and casters are actual viable in squire tier, it was a little bit tiresome to get stomped by 400-500 GS players the moment I left 124 bracket before, at least now I will have real fighting chance instead of having to bend over backwards to overcome stat check with skill, but the TTK change itself, I'm not a fan of it, I'm playing DaD and not Tarkov specifically because engagements take longer and are more strategic, tho with barbarian que, sorry, I meant with new solo que, it does feel like tarkov now.

I Lost so many items due to the items substats changes , but thats not the problem about this patch , this reducing in hp's gonna make this game easier for rogues a barbarians , so sad seeing one of the greatest game i played dying slowly because of poor decision making .

i don't think this patch is good but I also have fun from the experience of fighting and winning fights. as a new player I don't know the boss fights yet and I'm wasn't yet able to get the best gear until the last patch where it now rains from the sky. I was fine with building from experience but some gear squishing does improve my odds in fights where someone just won't die no matter how many times I hit them. Like i said, I agree with your points, this patch isn't it, but i don't think my fun is ruined entirely. I can respect a dev team that is willing to learn from mistakes and roll back buffs to already meta dominate classes. 😮
I just started playing the game 2 days ago. I found the struggle of playing low gear vs high gear and actually looting someone with high gear felt so rewarding. The reason I got the game was for the snowball aspect. With that gone it feels like I wasted $30
That's rough bro. They will definitely revert this change. You can at least use this as an opportunity to get good at PvP before gear gets valuable again.

I feel exactly the same about the gear changes. I don't feel like playing the game anymore. If I wanted to just go pvp melee/archer team/deathmatch game without gear progression, id go play Mordhau or Chivalry 2. Those games have way better and mroe fun combat mecahnics than Dark and Darker.

I dont understand it cause the last patch was specifically to reduce the grind you need to get strong gear and promote going down in floors, it was a literal perfect move towards players that are not willing to grind that much but at the same time it kept tryhards strong, now casuals wont go down in floors cause they can just go with squire gear and demolish bis out players and tryhards wont play that much to get an insigficant advantage over squire gear players, worst possible move
We should lock SDF in a dark room. Item changes could turn out good aside from fucking with in game economy, but some of these other changes are insane. Barb buffs AND reducing max health by 15 across the board is asinine.

This just made it so there's only a few ways to build classes. Before u could have so many different. Builds but now they are not possible. I go into first game after patch 30k kit and from 324 ms down to 316. Made my build unusable. Couldn't outrun any barbs

bruh, I had a knowledge, max health, double ms roll frostlight lightfoots and they rerolled my additional ms instead of the bonus ms like they said they would. and for some reason the max health also got rerolled. went from like 15k gold easily to maybe 500. I'm honestly done with this game. every patch has been a disappointment. the game had a ton of potential, but the devs don't understand the basics of game design. I'll still watch your vids since I like your content, but I'm done getting burned for spending my time playing this game.

Problem is SDF's vision seems to really be "type 2 fun"
-Which is to say he wants players to feel the type of satisfaction you get from climbing a mountain, almost getting frostbite and getting home with hypothermia. It's really not fun while you're there, it's a painful struggle, but then you look back on what you achieved and reminisce because of those few nice moments of triumph. That's type 2 fun.
Games can be a struggle, like "Getting over it" but if you look at it objectively, Who wants to go through all that for minimal enjoyment? Hell Divers was popular because it focused on fun. SDF seems to be focused on players having a good story after they have played at the expense of fun. Some people will be in to that, most won't. Especially when you consider the sheer amount of knowledge that is required to become half decent at DaD. This patch does not help the new player-onboarding problem at all. And then he gets sad because no one sticks around to endure the punishment..

The problem right from the beginning was the developers listening to streamers, I hope they ignore all of this and just make the game they wanted to make from the beginning. If it's good it's good, if not gg but this constant change based on what people want has actually ruined the game

And they also want to remove random modifiers? So in the end what will be the difference between unique and poor quality items besides 1% change in how it looks?...
Maybe an all in:
- no random modifiers for grey to purple
- 1 modifier for legendary
- 2 for unique
- revert base stats for the one we had last patch
I stopped playing after the last patch that put purples and legendarys in damn near every chest... seemed like it took away the grind of having to search and search for good gear... now they took that good gear and nerfed it into the ground.... they seem like theyre purposefully killing the game... I was so hyped at the beginning of this wipe... I thought the game was in the best state its ever been.... Having second thoughts on that now... seems like my favorite game is on its death bed... sad to see

do something like this at the start of the wipe. last patch was so much more fun it gave me a reason to play, normals before the loot buff was really boring. questing felt like a chore imo. but after the loot buff. I started questing on alt characters for fun while we looted and pvp'd and had fun. it was a great. but now this patch #69 actually ruined everything. there is no point to loot anymore. pvp feels souless now there is no reason for gear it hurts to see this happen so much. i wish they'd just admit defeat and and revert this one. they have the power to revert a patch, we have seen it before back when there was a bug at 3am couple months ago. you could run your best stuff ever, if you died. relog and you will have everything you had from 3am. those couple hours were so much fun, the pvp was crazy. now the game feels souless
Im fine with them trying out drastically different ideas in EA, not really concerned when its not full release yet, would rather them try out all kinds of diff balancing before making a decision on the final product. Also been hilarious bonk wizarding Barbs who think they can brainless run at me after these buffs. Slower TTK sucks though ill say that, hope that doesnt stick.

I like it, gear checking in a PvP games removes skill requirements. There are plenty of games where you can grind better loot for the dopamine hit, this shouldn't be the key focus of this style of game IMO.

I play since alpha...and time to time they fuck everything up BUT the main thing is, they do what they want and that's pretty much it. They have no direction for the game...and this shows it clearly, i think the lack of content and improvement and patch's like this will kill the game faster that's all

This is a move to try and bring in newer players to increase the longevity of the game. I dislike the idea of being able to 1v3, this isn't Hunt or Tarkov, it's Chivalry with loot. But you need to realize that this is all I.M. trying to make the game as appealing to new players as possible. Please take a break from gaming, it really helps in times like this.
Hm...bring in new players who will play for 1-2 weeks then quit...or don't alienate your stable playerbase who has been with you over a year.
