- In this video, Sam and I install the crankshaft, pistons and rods in my 5.7L to 6.4L Hemi stroker. Unfortunately I did not film the process of gapping the rings and clearancing the block for the crank. In future videos we will be assembling the cylinder heads and valvetrain.
Stay tuned for more updates on this build series.

I been wondering how the trucks doin. The first swap video always pops up on here and leaves me wonderin how its runnin.
I've got a lot of video that haven't been all edited pertaining to the truck. I hope this winter I can get them uploaded while I'm less busy. Stay tuned for a truck update
I’ve been wanting to do this to my 07 ram. What stroker kit are using and about how much was it.
It's a kit sold by cncmotorsports its the compstar kit with -5cc pistons. I believe it was around $2800 when I got it. Think they are around $3300 now
What stroker kit did y’all use
Here is a link to the kit I used: www.cnc-motorsports.com/gen-iii-5-7-hemi-397-stroker-kit-balanced-wiseco-pistons-5cc-flat-top.html
How much did you end up removing? Also what kinda clearance should you have ?
I didn't pay much attention to exactly how much I ground away but I'd say it was around 1/8inch everywhere except for the rear cylinders. Those had some extra casting so they needed a bit more. I will attach the link of where I got a lot of my info for this procedure. It says to keep about .060-.080 in clearance for all moving parts so that's about how much I have. www.google.com/amp/s/blog.k1technologies.com/how-to-clearance-your-block-for-a-stroker-crankshaft%3fhs_amp=true
Hope this helps
@@andrewdugan820 awesome, I was just about to ask the same thing
What did you use to clearance the block? Or did you take it to a machine shop?
To clearance the block for the stroker kit I just used a die grinder with a carbide bit. Just took very little off at a time until I had roughly .060-.080" clearance between the rod bolts and the block.
Nice. I'm looking to do the same to my 5.7. It was nice to see someone do this specifically to a 5.7 block for a visual reference. Thanks!
