“Evil“ is usually a rather useless term for psychological description. What it mostly does is convey the desire of the person using it to pass a moral judgment. The word has little to no substantial explanatory power in and of itself, it’s simply a dismissive label.

I just served 4 years in prison. Let me tell you - regardless of how much “luxury” it might be perceived people have, the experience is a complete and utter nightmare. There is violence, bullying, noise, filth, drugs and complete disconnection from the real world and the ones you love. Prison is horrific. That is what she will have for the rest of her life.
Edit: Just to respond to some points people have made.
    Does she deserve it? Absolutely.
Will she have it easier than men do? Definitely.
Did I have a harder time because I was a man? I think so. She will be able to flirt and manipulate her way into an easier time.

Because you are a normal person with probably a small crime. Not a psychopath who butchered people. Trust me, Arias is the kind of intelligent psycho that can manipulate people to get what she wants ( privilege and protection).
Here in Brazil, we had a cute girl who ordered the killing of her parents and managed to seduce inmates, prison guards and even prosecutors....When someone tried to kill her, the prison Governor hid her in one cupboard and the Major arrive in a helicopter to transfer her. Her prison time was a walk in the park and she is already out with a fanclub. Some killers are highly intelligent in seducing and blackmailing people.

Prison is not, actually about helping people "turn their life around". Calling it "department of corrections" is misleading and an intentional effort to keep people from looking too closely. Even for the worst of the worst, the most violent offenders, the ones that cannot be trusted not to physically harm others, Prison is not what it is supposed to be, OR what most people think it is. Most prisons in this country are private, for-profit businesses. Even ignoring the fact that MOST crimes should not be punished by locking human beings in cages (even animals do not belong in cages). If you study psychology and human behavior, if you have a modicum if compassion you would see that cages NEVER help anyone. If mental health and emotional issues existed before being caged, cages exacerbate and further damage the psyche. If those issues did not exist before, then the traumatic experience can create them. Cages, and though plenty of people think they are not harsh enough, cause horrific damage to sentient beings. The entire concept of locking sentient beings up is cruel and inhumane.
That being said, and really, so much more can be said on this subject, this is not to say it is NEVER necessary and appropriate to lock some humans up. And violent people, people so entirely selfish, greedy, manipulative, self- absorbed, vindictive, etc, like jodi arias, humans that can and most importantly DO hurt other humans and living things, like THIS, either sexually or to the point of grevious bodily harm or death must be punished by being put in a cage ans locked up. Though, because healthy, well-adjusted individuals do NOT harm others this way, they should still be given mental heath care. At the very least so psychology, as a discipline and field can study them, learn from then to better understand HOW a person becomes capable of such destructive behavior and use that knowledge to prevent and help others before they get to that point.
It is an uncomfortable truth that no one is born capable of such behavior. That belief in evil and monsters is not necessary because humans, damaged and hurt humans, are capable of all the evil that exists. There are 3 ingredients involved in making each and evey one of us WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF. And not one is more important than the others. Those 3 things are:
      Biology/genetics
      Psychology/personality
      Environment/experience/circumstances
We ALL have to find a way to reconcile and balance personal responsibility and accountability with the fact that we all (as individuals and as a society)effect each other and help make each other what we are. How we treat each other has a profound effect on who and what we are, what we are capable of, and the decisions we make. Each and every one of us are tied to each other and as dependant on our social group and being accepted by them as any other animal that lives in a big social group or pack.
Which makes it immoral and unethical to just. ..throw people away. Whatever they do or did, we all have to deal with it and also acknowledge our own contributions. That horrific things wouldn't happen so often if people were nor so ok with vulnerable individuals falling threw the cracks. It is another uncomfortable truth that nobody knows or can predict how they will react to just the right circumstance, the perfect stressor that makes them snap at another individual or individuals out of anger (anger either at the victim or anger at society/the world or both). Sanity is fragile. And though, most mental heath issues do not meet the requirement for LEGAL insanity (which is reserved for thos very serious cases where an individual cannot distinguish between what is real and what is not real. Psychpaths are NOT legally insane because they can cognitively understand right from wrong. They can tell reality from fantasy. Even though they dont emotionally understand these concepts. And for those that are legally insane, they do not escape punishment or justice. They still get locked up, but in a hospital and get treatment. And almost always spend more years in the hospital than they would in prison. So this, "not guilty by reason of insanity " is most often à life sentence. And in those other instances where a person is declared "unfit to stand trial", they too dont escape justice. They get mental heath care, whether they want it or agree to it or not, and if/when à doctor decides they are mentally competent and fit to stand trial (meaning they can participate and help in their own defense), prosecutors/the state can bring charges against them again.). So going back to sanity being fragile, MOST, and by most i mean almost all killers (even those with ASPD, which is nor a common disorder, but more common than people realize, very few ever end up killing once, let alone more than one person and half of 1% actually end up serial killers) are NOT cold-blooded, methodical, unfeeling killers. Most DO feel regret, remorse, shock, despair, etc over what they did. And people LOVE judging how a person feels, if they feel guilt or remorse, etc or if they are lying based on body language when psychology and the FBI's behavioral analysis unit have debunked most of which people commonly believe about body language and humans are actually notoriously bad at recognizing signs if deception and typically overestimate their ability and skill at reading body language (body language is just one toil that is supposed to be used in addition to others. It also is useless if you dont know à persons baseline behavior. And AT BEST, body language is about interpretation and recognizing signs that let you know where you might want to dig deeper. AND that even IF you accurately determine WHAT emotion à person is feeling, body language alone does not abd cannot tell you WHY they feel that emotion). So, humans alone can do shocking and horrific things and it is quite normal and typical to behave bizarrely to shock and truama, even when YOU caused or created the truama. And completely shutting down and/or hiding your feelings is also normal (and so is being or exhibiting nervousness) when talking to police or in front of cameras. Even when you didnt do anything wrong. But people jumping on the bandwagon and jumping to conclusions abd trusting LE too much when someone is accused or arrested for something is a whole other issues. Prisons have a lot of innocent people. Innocent people are accused, arrested, prosecuted, and convicted everyday. And they get accused, arrested, prosecuted, convicted, and even executed on:
      Good/strong evidence,
      Bad/weak evidence
      No evidence
And even when cops and/or prosecutors make mistakes, when they make mistakes and dont want to admit they messed up,
LE and prosecutors can get tunnel vision for many reasons. When this happens, NOTHING will change their mind about someones guilt or innocence. They no longer follow the evidence and allow the evidence to speak for itself
And LE and prosecutors can be incompetent ir corrupt.
Do not delude yourself into thinking these kinds of situations do nor happen or rarely happen.
Being innocent does not protect you from accusations.
There being "no evidence " doesnt protect you. There is always evidence. And it is all about HOW the evidence is interpreted. It is possible but extremely rare for there to be a situation where there is only ONE reasonable conclusion. There are almost always multiple reasonable alternative interpretations of à set if facts. You just have to have an open mind.
Anyway, people should do a little research and reading about psychology and prison.
Discipline and Punish by Michel Foucault is a great place to start. It will give a history of prisons, incarcération, and legal punishment in the West, too.

We have to remember that the” luxuries “ are a way of keeping control. It give inmates the ability to work for something and gives them insensitive to behave better. He loved having a warm room and food 3x a day. He was older 60-70 I’d guess but really good shape and well kept. Ran the track every day He loves his best life in prison. She’s in protective custody which means she’s housed alone and she does not have the freedom to move around the institution while population is on the move. Whenever she has a doctors appointment or anything that is outside of that cell the institution has to be placed on standby. No movement on the compound when PC (protective custody) is on the walk but that doesn’t stop the other inmates from yelling out the window making all types of threats to her. Trust me she’s scared ass fu€k outside of that cell !!! She’s very paranoid !!! Quite a few inmates have befriended her just for her to let her guard down. If she was a male inmate with all that publicity from the trial she would have withhold a doubt been stabbed or killed by now. Female inmates are completely different from male inmates. Prison can be a normalized place to live. Meal times, shower days, recreation times. Unless you get in trouble and are on a restricted lock down your outside of your cell in a common area where you can watch television and socialize with other inmates. Keep in mind the prisons are full of societies dregs. These people are narcissists, psychopaths, mentally unstable, users and abusers. There is always the element that your a player in a game of survivor island. You form alliances with people you can use but you feel is weak enough you can overthrow them if needed. So, even if it seems her life is nice inside she isn’t truly happy. Maybe not as miserable as we think she should be as an evil convicted murderer. It’s sad that her beauty has led to her believing she could get away with murder, her beauty has actually helped to make a monster.
