Unfortunately, I don’t think this was a well thought out comparison. Comparing free cad to something like fusion 360 or solid works would make so much more sense. But to compare it to archicad seems odd. They’re very different applications and are designed to do very different things (which you point out in your video). But it just seems like a weird choice for a comparison video.
@@herantd I wrote this comment nearly two years ago. But I thing the point I was trying to make was you can probably do architecture in solid works but too but shoehorning tools into software designed to do something completely different seems shortsighted. Great you can do it hear but I don’t think I’d ever make a legitimate comparison between archicad and something like solid works. It’s just apples to oranges.
The reason for this strangeness is because, in fact, freecad needs an Add-on "BIM Workbench" (developed by Yorik Van Havre) to be able to become a competitor to archicad. But even so, the author of the video did not show how the Add-on works to compare it with ArchiCad.

Not really, FreeCAD has the Archi mode which is exactly what is being compared here

1:30 what do you mean "artificial intelligence" ?
i have such a crap laptop i wish i would be able to learn these softwares one day. great video tho
ARCHICAD is underrated...it is miles better than FREECAD
