Thank you for this video, bro. I am starting to consider this glass case for my 1/6th figures. It is very helpful that you added a photo of your car with the boxes in it. It provides size perspective and I find it helpful for planning purposes.
Great video Shane! I like the look better on the Detolf myself, however I am tempted to go with Blåliden myself. As the collection grows space becomes a issue for sure. Blåliden looks like it have enought space to make 1/6 figures look good without being too small. Something i have to think about for sure.
I have one and will be adding another. I’ll have less than 20 figures though so they are perfect. I’ve had a big collection but not my way anymore. Great video.
I wonder why they never offered a clear acrylic frame option. I mean, if they're going to discontinue the Detolf, they could at least offer an option that mimics tge very feature a lot of collectors liked about the Detolf; the clear edges to see your collection from every angle. At least with a clear acrylic or something similar as a frame, you could mostly see the collection even through the edge. The black and white and black frames just obscure things. Imho.
There’s no denying the black frames can block part of the figures from certain angles but also on the positive they frame the figures very well. All about personal taste really. They won’t work for everyone but they work for me. Love how the final display turned out.
I think these are a terrible option for the long run. I love the look of them but having 40 or so figures and getting more this doesn’t appeal to me. If you’re just starting out and plan on diving deep these will need to be replaced eventually. These would be for a very select group of collectors. Also the big deluxe bases might not work, boba on the throne wouldn’t work as well
Amazing breakdown. I was on the fence. Saw them on sale for $75 today. I would like to see how it looks with 2 figures per shelf, but your display is 🔥
Great look at the Blaliden mate, thanks for this video 👍🏻 And the pics of your collection in the cabinets look fantastic 👌🏻👍🏻🔥🔥 (think I said similar on your other video too but felt the need to repeat it here 😅)
I have alot of the detolfs for my 1/6 but at some stage i do want cut my collection down so these will be the better option for me plus like yours with one figure per shelf looks nicer and cleaner

@@OneSixthFigureFocus thanks so much . I’m trying to copy your setup . I currently have detolfs but since discontinued I’ll be ordering the blaliden cases . Also I see the Luke lights are already customized for the blaliden . Can you send me the link for the Luke lights that fit the blaliden cases . Thanks so much for the help .
I bought my 1st Blalinden months ago, but the base screws were defective. I ended up going another direction but if it wasn't for that fated issue, I think my collection would've like a bit like yours. My only issue with these types units are the bottom shelves. Even with a riser, they're just too low to fully appreciate these figures. Imo, the bottom shelf should be at eye level when sitting. Thoughts?
I think a riser is essential but the bottom shelf at eye level while sitting would be a bit too high for my taste. I think 50cm high riser is the sweet spot
The Blaliden I purchased seems off. The door doesn’t seem big enough for the width of the unit. It’s sits well on hinge side but the door isn’t wide enough to fully cover the face of the unit. All three door magnets aren’t striking the frame. Overall disappointing quality & the view of the figures is obscured by the heavy black frame width. I have a replacement sent from IKEA but was wondering if this is the standard others are finding before I assemble the new one?
I think that’s the way they are. I noticed the middle magnets don’t connect on all 7 of mine too. The shape of the door is strange. It’s like the frame overlaps the door but to be honest it doesn’t bother me as I don’t notice it with the black frames.
@@OneSixthFigureFocus Thanks for the heads up with the door information. No sense in me building the spare unit IKEA sent out if they’re all the same. Started working on the lights today. I bought some gloss white 3mm A3 acrylic to fit in the back of the unit to highlight the figures on display. It slides in perfectly behind the glass shelves & makes a clean background for the figures to stand out more. Cutting a ceiling board in the top & going to bring the wires through the pre drilled hole & try🤞🏼run the cabling down the back of the acrylic. Should look good when finished.

I really like these. A nice upgrade that adds a more professional look with the black frames. Easy install, and a single box to pickup.
I agree with all of your points

Always love your display setup!

IMO the black frame gives each figure its own "define" space and focus, looks better than detolf
💯 Agreed Bryan! Thanks for watching
Food for thought. I do like 1 figure per cube look.
It’s the way to go
I just looked it up they do offer a white frame version
👍🏼
Hey Shane, thanks for this review
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Can you add additional glass panels to display more smaller figures?
I haven’t done that but I’d imagine it’s possible if you ordered extra shelves
Look absolutely ace! Tempted to go the same direction. What are they sitting on? Besta?

Looks great! You're not going to fit 12 inches of Venom in there though.
Nope
What do you have the blaliden cases sitting on top of and what are the different color lights you hv hooked up at the bottom it’s a great look

Hey I just bought one of these, and am a little sceptical to put my heaviest figure on the glass.
Do you have figures exceeding 2KG in there?
I have a few diecast iron man’s and a war machine Mark 1. The shipping weight on that figure is 3.1kg so I’m guessing the figure is maybe 2 kg?
According to IKEA the max. weight each panel can handle is 3kg, so you should be safe!

Can it fit a threezero Optimus prime with the base?
How tall is it?
13 inches with base

I got 2 of these the other day. Still in the box, needed to clean up some space before assemble, how long did it take to put them together?
First one will take about 30mins if I remember correctly. After that it will be much quicker
