Great gig and set up buddy, I use the FBT VN2000 rig up to 200 people then the Yamaha DXR12/DXS15 combination up to 400 people, those cabs rock, been following you for a while, great content, greetings from over the pond, new sub 😉
Yes they do! I have the DXR15 & DXS15. But I got tired of carrying them all the time. The DXS15s weigh 80lbs! I got the rcf 705 asii (also 15") and they are only 50lbs. They are not as good as the Yamahas but that 30lb tradeoff is worth it for smaller gigs. Also putting those DXR15s on poles is tricky. It's easy to hurt my back as well as get them exactly straight. I got some rcf j8s to replace them for smaller gigs and save the Yamahas for larger events. But the Yamahas are amazing speakers that most people sleep on!
you went with EV over QSC. funny i did the same as well. Thank you for all the tips & gigs. My parents used to do this back then as a wedding band and now i picked it up as a modern DJ.
Your set was nice. Try out a digital mixer, with a compressor for your talk-overs. The concept is called "Ducking" - properly setup, the compressor will automatically "duck" the music under your vocal announcements. Makes it nice and smooth, broadcast quality. Well done sir.

Haven't heard the EKX but some say it's a fine system...I love my ELX and I do think they punch above their weight...I use them confidently for large spaces
Your white setup looks amazing 👍if you painted your wash FX white to Mach everything else it’s would look even better I looked everywhere for white wash fx in the end I painted mine white cover up the bit you don’t want to get paint on lenses ect and your good 👍

Dope videos! For the korg nano key 2 did you have to download any software or driver other than soundswitch to run with soundswitch? And can you briefly explain how you mapped it out? I have one and this is a cool idea!
Thanks. I don’t recall having to download any drivers…maybe ? Been about 3 years…Soundswitch makes it very easy to map once your computer recognizes the Korg. Basically just right click on the function you want to map then press the button on the korg you are trying to map in the midi mapping menu section.

I love my Ape Labs gear. I used ADJ Element prior to Ape and have decided Ape is the way forward, no more ADJ for me. All-white is a great look! Do you ever have any 2.4GHz interference issues with the donners? What batteries are you using on the coins? Is it me or are your totems leaning slightly inward, toward the booth? Looks like your Apes are set to music mode (on the device, not the CONNECT) - do you leave it in that mode all night or can you control that from the Korg?
Ape labs are dope…no interference with my donners so far…I’m using the gettihu battery pack…I now use the app to control the apes, much better experience imho
I love djay pro! I've used it exclusively since 2008. Ditto man...we're so blessed to do this. I've started using a Maui 28 G2 for ceremonies/cocktail or really small. What's the mic you're using on your lapel for the video? Also, would you say it feels a lot different to scratch on the Rane One than say something like a Pioneer DDJ SB 3, which is an entry level, non-motorized controller? This is the controller I currently have. Aha and LOL!..the convenience store...I almost always do that! I usually get Gatorade and candy, LOL! Do you have a link to the cable covers you used on the floor? Yeah, a room that size really needs 18's...nice!
Yep djay pro is amazing and keeps getting better…Serato better start stepping up or they will start to loose some market share. I’m using the DJI Mic, really good mic with lots of features. I have the SB3. Scratching feels different because of the movement…I think it’s more effortless with the rane one although I feel like I can pull off some similar scratches either SB3 (I don’t go too crazy during my events, just enough to add some spice)…the covers I got off Amazon…Anbotek - Small 3 Pack - Floor... a.co/d/8dkfAMi the idea came from a gentleman on a Facebook group In part of. The convenience store trip is so clutch…guilty pleasure of sorts
I have been using DJay as my ceremony rig since the original DJay 1 for the original iPad came out. Since then I have used it for other situations, last year I went to Denon Prime to lose the laptops all together, this year I switched to running my full shows off of DJay Pro AI on iPad

I've used my ZLX15BTs twice and I'm almost regretting my purchase due to their aggressively conservative clipping after they warm up a little. Question. How much headroom did you gain with the addition of the sub? Was the HPF able to boost your output to make a noticeable difference? I used the Maui 5 Go for this event…I usually don’t use that for booth audio. When I have the Evolves I normally use the DOSS XL speaker in my booth which is super loud and adequate.

Do you find the ELX 12's loud enough for a large room/300+ events? I use the same subs, but my tops are ZLX 12". I find that they clip a lot in larger rooms/bigger events when I need to push it. Thinking about upgrading

Just purchased the ELX 200 set same as yours. Why the heck are the pole mounts so off center on the bottom of the 12p tops?!?! It’s so noticeable in person that they sit off center. Never noticed it in your videos but in real life it drives me crazy lok

How do you have your Wash FX2s set up in Soundswitch? Wash Secondary or as a Multi-cell? Also, do you use mostly banks of autoloops or have you scripted your tracks?
Mostly banks of autoloops, nothing scripted as I usually only use it as a wash, rather than getting in to the effects.
Do you find the ELX 12's loud enough for a large room/300+ events? I use the same subs, but my tops are ZLX 12". I find that they clip a lot in larger rooms/bigger events when I need to push it. Thinking about upgrading

Just purchased the ELX 200 set same as yours. Why the heck are the pole mounts so off center on the bottom of the 12p tops?!?! It’s so noticeable in person that they sit off center. Never noticed it in your videos but in real life it drives me crazy lok
