I bought the Radio FLYER l885 to ride to work and pick up my daughter from school. I love it. I do find it a bit challenging to put the kickstand down when she is on the bike. Granted I am 55 and not as strong as I use to be but it does require a little finesse, strength and balance to put the kick stand down with a bit of weight on the back.
I wish we had these when my kids were small 😕 but I did buy my son a yamaha when he was six he loved it 😂
Nice build it looks like a more kid-friendly felt BrewHaul... Absent the Center Drive but with more wattage. And more watt-hours than the Bosch system..... The second battery Mount is a nice Plus... And the pricing is competitive... much of the Brew Halls cargo framing is actually bolted on as opposed to welded
Awesome video! You sold me on the bike but when I try to use your referral code it fails. I called RF customer service and they said it is not valid. Do you have a new referral code?
Can the bike be loaded on a bike rack easily?
What is the spring behind the front forks for?
Can you attached a trailer to the rear of the bike using one of those brackets that slips between the not and the frame on the rear axel?
We weren't familiar with the spring behind the front fork as well. Believe it's used to keep the wheel more centered when loading kids on the back. But it also seems to help keep the handlebars more straight when riding. Does add some resistance to it... you could simply take this off.
Not sure about adding a trailer to the rear of the Bike, we don't have one of those to try it with
@@TechWeWant I emailed them directly and someone got back to me that it is compatible with some trailers. Wasnt given a list but should be pretty straight forward
My sons 2 and a half , think I could fly with just this bench seat you've got ? I hate that baby seat option
Hmmm?🤔 You would think with all the awesome features and what the bike was made for... (carrying precious cargo) they would at least put front and back suspension on it...
The front suspension, I'll grant you. Rear suspension on an ecargo bike is extremely rare. For the ~$2000 range ecargo bike, it's nonexistent. Main reason is the cost and complexity make it a non-starter for the price bracket. But even if the sky is the limit, it is difficult to engineer the springs and dampers on a bike that could typically see from 0 to 200lbs extra weight in the rear, yet be comfortable 100% of the situations is a tall order. Think 1-ton pickup.
Seriously considering getting one of these. I have a 4 year old and a two year old. Such a good looking bike and a fair price but it not having shock absorbers really worries me. We live near alot of dirt roads. Would you say it will be a problem or do the wide tires help to absorb some of that? I don't plan on riding fast but I do want to have a comfortable ride.
I think that the 3-inch tires and the extended frame will make the dirt road a little smoother. I think it's a great choice for families with young kids.
We didn't find the suspension to be an issue until you hit larger bumps. If you hit a pothole you and the passenger will definitely feel it in your buns!
Ours just came in yesterday putting together was easier than a ikea furniture i bought the longer one for me and my boys 2 and 7 rides really good by the way seats pretty comfy wife got the regular with the booster seat in the back money well spent
@@vural28vt how are you liking it now? Have you ever tried the radwagon4 or any other cargo bikes? Thanks
@@wakawaka1976 we love it charge on it lasts a long time havent charged since bought cuz it was full and i put 18 miles on it and still has 70-75% charge left on it i especially like the pedal assist on it
Can you charge the battery without taking it off the bike? Thanks!
Yes u can
Good-looking, great execution of its kinda unique basket designs, great large front, small and low rear wheel form factor for best handling. But...a bit overpriced compared to the competition for the features it doesn't have. Cable brakes vs hydraulic. Single battery. No front suspension. 500W hub motor vs 750W hub motor on most of its competitors.
Can u use this when its raining out??
Not supposed to but you can bag the exposed components, if you have no other choice but to ride in the rain, in order to help protect them.
It wouldn't let me buy in Canada 😭
Could a 1st grader ride in this?
My fifth grader does just fine and she is getting quite large
Torque?
Think it was between 40-60… so it’s on the low side. 20” wheel supposedly is the best size for a hub motor though. But not a hill climber regardless.
we love the bike. love love lllloooovvvveeee! llllllllllllllllooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee
Wait.. do you own one?
How much torque does the motor has?
