@@laurentaylor1153 Constitutionally the only person the monarch could not marry was a Roman Catholic. Nothing constitutionally prevents the monarch marrying a divorced person.
However, Edward VIII wanted to marry Wallis, divorce was socially frowned on, and as head of the Church of England, the King couldn’t be seen to marry a divorcée. Times have changed. Divorced people can now be married in the Church so there is not the same issue.
Added to that, despite certain people on the internet wanting to present the situation differently, Charles and Camilla are relatively popular now. Camilla has worked very hard over the last 17 years, and people who met her really like her.

The Queen lived a long and healthy life according to God's grace and mercy. My dad died age 96 in 1981 of old age.. My dad always said, if you live to 70 you are on blessed by God, , but if you make it to 90 it is because of God's grace and mercy. So yes Queen Elizabeth will be missed by all for she serve her country and the commonwealth with humanity and with the grace and mercy of God. Also may God bless King Charles and his family with the same grace and mercy as He gave Queen Elizabeth.

Don't forget that Charles and Camilla were dating long before Diana came along. Pity they didn't get married then. It is not true that Diana didn't have protection. She had bodyguards around her all the time, including when she took the boys out on adventures.

She had already had a couple of run-ins with Meghan that we know about - the tiara, and one of the dishes for the reception which M insisted had egg in it. Her Majesty overheard and dealt with it quietly.

Intermarriage was done all through European history. All royals were related and that's where the "blue bloods" for royals came from. Many royals were disfigured to a degree due to intermarriage.

Charles was unwilling to give up his girlfriend when he hooked up with Diana, and I don’t think was fully aware of that when she first got involved with him. I never wanted her to marry him! And Diana stated back then there were three people in her marriage. She even attempted to discuss her affair with her husband, but that woman refused to budge. I thought back then, in The Firm’s viewpoint, Diana was “better stock” than Camilla so that union was engineered, unbeknownst to Diana. Once Diana had two sons things really started to unravel. And Harry must’ve known more what was going on that his brother. Had Charles been a better man, a much better man, Diana would have been, could have been Queen consort.

I absolutely loathe Cowmilla, and to a lesser degree (but not by much), Chuck. I think their refusal to knock off their affair directly resulted in Diana’s death. Other things happened, yes, but the ongoing affair and callous disregard for Diana are what led to the other events.
