    Oz tip slow down Red Dust entry:
    first clean rubber weatherstrip and clean the painted contact surface, apply thinly petroleum jelly like vaseline on painted surface ONLY TO STOP adhesion. Now on rubber weatherstrip apply thinly silastic RTV, CLOSE DOOR LEAVE A FEW HOURS TO CURE.

      Ingenious idea! Waiting for the new rubbers.. when they're fitted I will try this to seal up any minor cracks👌 I'd need a dozen tubes of silicone as it is now 😆
      Cheers mate 👍

      Quick fix! Put a pc of 2-3 mm rubber between body and door.
      Another thing that helps is to wipe brake fluid on the rubber seal. Brake fluid makes the rubber expand.

    • @waynejill
      @waynejill 6 місяців тому

      Brake fluid is water based and does not make rubber expand, other wise all your rubber seals in the braking system would turn to mush. Brake fluid also soften & removes paint.@@rubennilsson5416

      Lmao 😂😂
      I had a 69 dodge pu with a slant 6 and the door leaked air so bad and in Alaska you need all the warmth you can get in winter.
      My friend put my truck in his heated garage on day one cleaned the jam really good applied Vaseline to the door and then filled in the jam area with caulking gun exterior sealant push the door closed. Let it sir almost 3 days and WHOA! I had a brand new door! 🎉😂.

      Such a beautiful young girl saying thank you for your generosity Todd / Neenee. I can't believe how parents can walk away from their own flesh and blood but it is more common in those areas than we can comprehend as I saw it with many students in the schools. A life is worth nothing .. zilch.. so sad. Todd you've gotta remember to give way to youth when playing football mate. Bushyboy Oz.

    Todd, it a Hmong tradition about the little girl. Right or wrong, that goes back so many decade. The mom didn't abandon her or we don't know but culture states she has no rights to the little girl if they divorce. Sad but true because it's old culture. Then dad up and leaves because he needs work or he's out chasing tails. So she lucky her grand parents are there but I'm sure it's a big burden for them. Unfortunately there's less of that in the States. But it still goes on sadly.

    • @302daddyd
      @302daddyd Місяць тому

      Sorry but you're wrong. The father simply left because he saw a better girl to be with. The mother left because the new guy only wanted her and not the child that wasn't his. Most mother will not abandon their child, but she did.
      Both of them had no business getting married and having children, they were too immature. They simply showed you the dark side of humanity where greed rules over love. Only the child's grand parents showed any love for her.

    That dust coming in the back doors is a tough one. Because they are barn doors with that bloody great spare wheel hanging on there, those doors will rattle on those rough roads & will never completely seal because they are always moving. BUT I have found by turning on the fan flat out and putting the vent control to open, not recirculate, it helps to blast air into the cabin and give a slight pressure to slow down the dust coming in the back. Good luck.😊

    Hi Guy's Another great video, a reminder to all us old farts that there are better ways to spend your latter years, than ringing the last dollar out of what ever you spent our lives doing.. Not sure what we have done to deserve this opportunity to take total control of how we organize every day, but it is what it is. Nice to see you increasing your use of some of the old lingo from the old country (frog and toad), I have some more if you need them. The issue of abandoned children, is a difficult one. As bad as it may seem it is still streets ahead of the western system of fostering, where there no blood ties. Yes some foster parents do a great job, but kids seem to come out the end bitter and resentful. You are certainly putting the troopy through its paces, and even as old as it is, it is streets ahead of anything else on the market.

    Hmong people in laos have a history of splitting children up when divorced. The father and his family never want to keep the daughters, but the boys they will keep bc they will forever carry the family name. The daughters get to go with the mother, and if they're lucky, they will stay with her even after she's married. Some stay behind with grandparents or uncles bc the mom's new husband doesn't want them. The women will choose their new spouse over their children, which is really sad. I wish they would change that mindset.

    • @steveandrews499
      @steveandrews499 7 місяців тому +1

      Yes, i suppose children are disposable to them but then again who teaches them as children to adopt this mindset? The adults. This young girl looks shell-shocked. totally numb. A child has a right to a happy childhood. Too bad, as adults, they dismiss it as irrelevant.

    • @Meme-jw1bg
      @Meme-jw1bg 7 місяців тому

      @steveandrews499 you are correct. It's been taught for generations. They see that having a spouse is more important bc when a person gets old, they have each other to take care of each other. Their dependency is not on the children bc they believe children will only do so much, unlike a spouse. There are only a few that don't have this mindset and will put all their trust and love in their kids. Thank goodness those in Western countries have changed vs. those in Laos/Vietnam/Thailand.

    God bless you Todd an Nenee for all the love you share with the Laos people and the children. It was heartbreaking when the grandparents of that sweet little child who's parents abandoned her, I could see the pain in her face the whole time just wanting her parents love and to be held, heartbreaking is putting it lightly. Playing with the children along the trip was such a wonderful thing to do, it helps bring trust and happiness to them as well as the snacks, these words from the cookie man from a two years ago, if you remember me. I said buy cookies for every child and you did, bless you both as I still follow. I had a bad three years Todd, I lost my parents, three childhood friends and 8 aunt and uncles. I am only one of five left alive from both sides of the family now. I pray to God and our Lord Christ that the pain will ease and the world keep moving on with or without me. Just wanted to say I have not forgotten the both of you and your good deeds. Love from the cookie man, bless you on your journeys Todd and Nenee 😇🙏

      A very tragic 3 years mate. Of course I remember the cookie man. I'm not sure if you have seen it, but last year we returned and tracked down that little girl (the cookie girl) from the dam disaster area who missed out on a cookie and brought her and her family many gifts ua-cam.com/play/PLgvgjiOf9zKSneII-iwKVcEFI_p97v5WK.html&si=Qi7jT8hs-YHy7I-a We would not know her family and many others we have helped along the way if it wasn't for you and what you started.. Thank you!
      It's very nice to hear from you again Roger, and I hope that your pain eases and you find peace my friend. Take care

      @@NowinLao No!, thank you Todd and Nenee for allowing me to help! It shattered my heart when you told the story that I watched and wanted to help. I am not rich but poor and disabled, I needed to help as I believe every child should know kindness and joy. I am again deeply hearing back from you, it brought tears back and a warmth of knowing you found her again. God bless you both for warm hearts and care for others as I feel in my own heart. It is a blessing from God that I had run across your video, it was the title that brought me to watch and respond. Life has been hard, but you eased a longing inside me, your words sent me to tears of joy to be remembered. What I did was for the children and to be a part of something special. It is a fate of beauty and love to have been given the chance to help. My depression has been rough, but you both had made me feel very grateful for you and Nenee's caring. I don't know how to thank you both enough for everything. I will be back to watching, this I promise ♥️ May God be with you both, 🙏 Thank you so very much Todd.

    Nasty Todd, intimidating an old lady like that with your blanket salesman technique! Neenee to the rescue and left Yay with a smile on her face. Fabulous scenery all around you on this leg of the trip, and so many waterfalls 555! I loved the way those people just appeared from nowhere in the middle of the jungle. It was like turning the clock back a couple of hundred years when everyone lived on the proceeds of what they could find in the forest. So sad that parents can just abandon their children like that leaving them with grandparents. It happens far to often in this part of the world. The little girl looked so sad and I hope that somewhere she has friends to play with. I loved the way kind-hearted Mina wanted to give her some cookies. Your footballing skills are much better than mine Todd (being a rugby man) but one of those boys still managed to "nutmeg" you twice. :-) Keep them coming Todd. God bless you all for your Kindness and generosity.

    The plight of little girls wandering around is a concern. The heartbroken landlady of a house that I stayed at in Vientiane in about December 1963 lost her little 8 year old daughter, she was kidnapped.
