While Bluetooth offers the convenience of wireless connection to headphone\speakers, you will get better performance from this unit by using a wired connection. This is due to the balanced output option. This is what I think Fiio was aiming for. Especially with the higher quality DAC in the unit. Most of the other portable CD players on the market today do not offer the quality that Fiio has put into this unit. The construction and features harkens back to the high quality portables that were offered by Sony as well as others.
The back side doesn't have jacks for earphones. They're on the front side. Those ones from rear are line out connectors. The first one is the balanced line-out, and the second one is the combined connector having the analogue non-balanced line-out + the digital coaxial out and + the digital optical out

Pressing rewind buttind wil not put it in pairing mode until u first put it bluetooth mode by usign the power button. Power button: Long press to turn on or off. When powering on, short press the power button to check the power and working status. For example, BAT4 represents the battery level is 80%-90%. The other status it will also display at the same time. Short press the power button again to switch the output modes: PRE OUT: analog output USB OUT: ripping tracks or computer recording SPDIF OUT: optical or coaxial output, BLUE OUT: Bluetooth output
Thanks have been waiting for the first looks at this, It looks like it would pair nicely with their desktop amp for a good listening experience at home while still being capable of going outside despite it being a bit big as others have said. I quite like the design and the fact it has bluetooth, Only downside i can think of is it not having a remote. Really debating getting one as i'm still a big fan of CD's👍
@@MichaelSmith-jz7xg it appears the controls are very confusing, battery indicator unfortunately doesn't display. It's a great device for listening to CD's.

I wish they would have worked on the design a little more. It just looks very similar to a USB DVD Drive for a computer. Looks more like something you have at a desk rather than taking around with you. Great video though.
I got this yesterday. I think it doesnt need an amp. Using 4.4 balanced output with Ft3 and the sound is amazing! Cons: There is no stop button:) The open button must be on top of the unit! On side, its uncomfy to use. It has the same chips as Onix Alpha but there is no access to the fast/slow filters. But the sound is amazing! Also the desk mode is great too. Very good device👍🏻
@@CenkTuranli5150 yes, you're right about the no stop button. Also the paint for the next track is disappearing and fading. Opening the cover while the disc spins surely is not good long-term. 🫰

Great review I just received mine today The box clearly states you have the Bluetooth version and how did you manage to get a black one? They only had Silver I agree the instructions were not very helpful and eventually I figured out you have to cycle through the power button to get to the Bluetooth mode then back button to pair (try this) I tried pairing a pair of headphones and it worked. (there was no confirmation it did connect aside from the music playing) However when it did started playing my mp3 CD after the first song it played slower as if one third speed so I turned it off restarted it and they player immediately went to pairing mode and it wouldn't pair with the headphones. So I did a reset and tried the process again, and as adding insult to injury the volume controls on the player did not work with the headphones (Soundcore a year old) any one who has the BT model have any suggestions? The MP3 CD is good it plays fine on five different old Sony MP3 capable discman players..
@@cesarespinozaspain I'll try that and see if BT comes on in pairing mode. The painted previous and forward buttons are fading. Sound is great. Not sure why they sell standard and Bluetooth versions. Just make one device with Bluetooth.
