Look what you drink! What happens if you boil coca cola. How Much Sugar in Sodas - Coca‑Cola Classic and Coca Cola Zero experiment.
Let's see How much sugar is in Coca Cola Classic
'Some people don't realise how much sugar there is in Coca-Cola,' admits the company's PRESIDENT - as it emerges a large cinema serving contains 44 teaspoons of sugar
The European president of Coca-Cola has admitted that some customers 'don't realise' how much sugar is in the company's drinks.
Speaking on Newsnight, James Quincey also conceded that 'things need to change' and servings had to reduce in size.
The admission came after Jeremy Paxman took him to task on the size of servings available in cinemas - some of which contain a staggering 44 teaspoons of sugar.
When asked by Mr Paxman what good Coca-Cola did its consumers, Mr Quincey said: 'It does have some sugar in it... it has energy, but is it a necessity? No it's not. But millions of people enjoy it as part of their diet across the UK.'
Mr Quincey also pointed put that a regular can of the drink - which contains 35g or six teaspoons of sugar - was similar in calories to 'a cappuccino or a half a croissant'.
He stressed that the company was working hard to promote the calorie and sugar content of its products so that consumers could make informed choices.
But when asked by Mr Paxman if he thought people had any idea how much sugar is in small and large servings of Coke at the cinema, he was forced to reply: 'I think maybe they don't',
He conceded: 'Things need to change and the bigger cups need to come down,' he said.
A 'small' cinema serving is said to contain a 23 teaspoons on sugar, while a large contains 44 - 'each to be consumed in a single sitting,' Mr Paxman added.

Lifehacker & Experimenter it's shit.
IT'S AMAZING MUSIC!
Assfucking donkey music
Eh, do you realize that you can obtain the exact same final product by doing the same with tea, orange juice or really any liquid that has sugar in it? When the majority of the liquid is reduced and you continue heating it, the sugar begins burning. And when sugar burns in a small amount of liquid it first caramelizes (but you won't see that here because the liquid is already pitch black) then when the liquid is reduced enough, it starts foaming and inflating in size, and then the foam starts crystalizing as the remaining liquid evaporates, and continues to burn until it's basically a big sponge-like thing of hard charcoal. That is something you get from burning *ANY* sugary liquid.
P.S. For those who are reading, before you try it in your kitchen, charcoaled sugar is an absolute nightmare to clean. You're gonna need to scrape it hard enough to possibly damage your kettle. Just a little heads-up for the adventurous ones to avoid unintended destruction lol.
I wanted to ask as you seem a professional.. does the sintetic sugar in cola zero harmfull? Or more then the sugar itself?
@@AgressiveSillence I'm not a professional, but I've read a lot studies about artificial sweeteners, mostly Aspartame. The short answer is NO and If you excuse my english and the fact that it's 1AM here and I'm feeling sleepy, read on.
The most used artificial sweeteners are Aspartame and Acesulfame Potassium. Aspartame is also one of the most studied ingredient.
From 1980s to early 2000s more than 700 studies were done on Aspartame. None of them could prove that consuming aspartame is bad for you. There was one study done in 2005~ associating Aspartame with increased risk of cancer. However after examining the study they found serious mistakes and the study was discredited. There was also a study claiming that Aspartame causes headaches. This one was also discredited because the study participants knew what they were consuming. There was a follow up study about the headaches which surprisingly found that roughly 25% of people had headaches after aspartame, while almost 50% had headaches after placebo.
A similar case of fear can be seen with MSG. It has been proven to be completely safe, but people still freak out when they find out the food they're eating has MSG in it and claim to have headaches and other health problems after consuming MSG.
However, consuming too much Aspartame could be dangerous, surprisingly consuming too much of everything can be. Remember the old saying "The dose makes the poison". But dont worry, by the time you consume that much Aspartame you'd have other, more serious problems to worry about.
The other sweetener I was talking about is Acesulfame Potassium (ACE-K). I haven't read that much about this one, however by doing quick search I could not find anything that provides any evidence to it being bad for you.
But this does not mean that drinking diet coke is good for you, it is NOT.
@@AgressiveSillence Sorry, but I'm not a professional, just somebody who forgot a tea kettle on the stove several times in the past. I happened to catch it in different phases in the various incidents, which is how I know how the whole thing progresses lol.
As for synthetic sugar, like I said, I'm not an expert, so sorry, I can't profoundly help you. But if it helps, I have relatives (elderly people) who have diabetes, and who've been using synthetic sugar for decades. I don't know of any problems they suffered from using it. However, I do often hear them say stuff like they use it in moderation because "it's unnatural" and "too much of it is harmful". I have no idea if those beliefs are true (elderly people tend to fear unnatural additives more than young people, even if they are perfectly safe), and upon looking it up on the internet, there seems to be like a dozen different types of artificial sweeteners, all chemically different. (Such as the ones enumerated in this article: www.healthline.com/nutrition/artificial-sweeteners-good-or-bad)
Considering that my elderly relatives have been using them for decades without problems, I think at least the type they use is probably harmless (which is the type you purchase from pharmacies in the form of tiny tablets that you put into your drinks). Your best bet is to read the name of the particular sweetener they use in the particular food/drink (It should be listed in the "Ingredients" part) and look it up on the internet. Try to aim for research papers published by reputable sources (universities, laboratories, etc.), as the internet these days is sadly rife with paranoia communities that spread misinformation about all kinds of things without a scientific basis, and often even against sound scientific evidence (like anti-vaxxers for example). So avoid unfounded paranoia communities and look for trusted scientific literature. If there is no scientific literature indicating that a particular sweetener is harmful, and it's on the list of approved additives by the FDA or some other national regulatory organization, then I'd think it's more likely to be safe, at least in moderate amounts.
Like Antti suggested, anything can become toxic if you ingest too much of it (for example, even water becomes toxic if you drink like 4 liters of it in a couple of hours). So like everything we eat and drink, artificial sweeteners that are safe are safe when consumed in amounts that are deemed safe. It's one thing if you drink a can of soda a day, it's another thing if you want to drink 5 liters of it in one day lol.
That is all I can help you with. Sorry again if it's less than what you are looking for.
Woah that makes a lot of sense

So what is this crunchy stuff or whatever you want to call it made of is it just a Blob of sugar with other stuff in it or what.
It depends, not all of it is sugar. The zero coke bowl would be empty if it was. Chances are it’s all the integer stuff as well. Such as flavouring, colouring, stuff like that. That’s also being said it could be American Coca Cola, they use corn syrup there were everywhere else uses sugar.
I don’t see what the big deal is. you burn anything that much, even broccoli it’s gonna look like that
Precisely, just clickbait.
Considering coke is a liquid, you can’t actually burn it. What he did was boil it, leaving the sugar residue behind

@Lifehacker & experimenter: yes any suguar that is burn will look disgusting and also this is not an accurate representation on how mush suguar is in the Coca cola, since their is not just suguar, their is caramel color, and acid phosphoric, and the natruel oil that makes the flavor, so boiling down natural oil will turn it into suguar, and this is unknown what happen if you boil down acid phosphoric food grade, chloric acid in the stomic is not boiling something, so the additional suguar shown after boiling will not exist in an acid bath. The suguar you saw in coca cola zero, that is still diet coca cola that used aspertame ( previously believe to be dangerous and not anymore) Aspertame is not suguar it is a protein that taste like suguar, so the think you saw after boiling coca cola zero, it is the natural oil that turn into suguar, it is not aspertam while aspertam could still be in their but I do not know if aspertam could become more toxic if you boil it, because aspertam could become something diffrent after boiling it.
okay but where did you get those bowls!?!?! and very interesting video😅

If my body stored soda for years and had an internal temperature of over a hundred degrees this video would mean something.
True
No lol that’s not what this video is trying to prove it’s showing just how much sugar there is in coca cola
In case you're confused, the black stuff is sugar. Even though your body does not boil the Coke, you're still consuming the same amount of sugar as shown in the video.
When you drink a coke your body absorbs exactly as much sugar as shown, also your body stores excess energy as fat so your vody litterally builds all this over time. Boiling the coke didn't add or take away sugar it just removed all the water so you could see what it's like.
