The move was performed safely and on-time with help from Sims HD's newest fleet addition, a 24 axle, dual lane, perimeter trailer featuring a versatile extendable well ranging from 20 feet to 100 feet long. The load well of Sims HD's 24 axle trailer can be configured to carry the load from underneath or suspended from the perimeter beams. The trailer distributes the load across 96 tires and utilizes hydraulic power and four diesel engines to steer each axle independently. The transport convoy included nine law enforcement and escort vehicles for the 25 mile trip.
