I had the pleasure of working on this casino as well as most in Reno. But the silver legacy was special. To the tapers out there, the ring of fire was a blast to work on.
I stayed here a few nights when this place first opened. It was a fantastic hotel. I remember there was an area where the three hotels meet up and they had a laser light music show at the ElDorado area that I remember played the William Tell overture in its entirety and I believe the 1812 Overture as well. It was 29 years ago.
The last time we were in Reno we were sitting in Circus Circus having breakfast when the Security Director for the hotel announced we had to evacuate. They were building the Silver Legacy Hotel/Casino and the backhoe hit a gas line. Most of S. Virginia St. was closed. It is interesting that they made an underground tunnel to get from one hotel to another.

was debating stopping in reno for a couple days as it was along the route of a road trip, and was expecting things to be more run down than this, pleasant surprise, maybe i'll check it out after all
I remember going here as a kid a couple of times. Some to go to circus circus. Another for the laser light show, and another for Easter which they had a Easter egg hunt, and breakfast or was it brunch?
@@TwilightLink77 Yeah, I don't think they have the laser show anymore. Last three visits there, I have not seen the laser show. Not sure about the Easter Egg Hunt though.

Yeah, the Downtown Reno casinos are interconnected, which is great for those walking, similar to Las Vegas casinos.
When is it suppose to be done?
@@antonioc2017 It is done. Haven't you seen the videos of people walking thru the tunnel?
@@harlanabraham7772 in this video?
@@antonioc2017 You could see it in this video.
We've been to Reno 6 times, stayed there 5 of the 6 times. Love it.

@@ExplorationToGo You’re welcome. Wonder if they still do the laser shows, and the Easter egg hunt?
