So on the day i got home with the ps4 i used my ps3 cables to power it on and it miraculously powered on which surprised me as the controller was connected properly using the usb cable. After about 5 mins of waiting for it too show some errors or switching off because i did not expect it to work i plugged in my usb speakers to the other usb port on the front while the controller was plugged in. That was when the screen went black instantly. I didn't know what happened and pressed the eject button and a copy of GTA 5 came out which means the console was still powered on. Can you make a video where you combine your old revert video with the new one it would make the revert method easier .instead of reverting back, you will update from 9 to the current version 11, then do the revert. You can use the jailbreak to dumb the s flash from nor I just believe you can make an easier method by combining the 2 video of yours.
@MODDEDWARFARE A few questions while I wait for my Teensy 2.0++. I have a ps4 on firmware 5.55 and was wondering if during the backup of 5.55 I could then manually update to 9.00 then make a back up of 9.00 then update to latest firmware so I can play with my mates (using 3 different SSD's for each version) is this possible? And can I switch between these firmwares? I am looking forward to your reply and anyone else who is willing to help me
since teensy 4.1 is out now , I will be using it , the good thing about it is that it works on 3.3volts on the data pins by default , so there is no need to do the 3.3v mod to it like the teensy 2++ ,
Do you think there's anyway to solder an ESP8266 or something similiar to the Teensy to inject and swap between firmwares from a phone via the network and web portal created by the ESP8266? That way you can swap between firmwares without a computer.
Awesome work that's a lot of work😮, Thx man that helped me out, since the PS4 is not really up to date for Sony, that's a great opportunity to use MY ps4 as an allround Gamestation👍👍👍
As I understand,if the 4.0 has a voltage below 3V than no you don't need to But if it still has 5V or 3.5V you need As he said it's not about the teensy it's about the PS4 itself If you put too much voltage than It might turn on more Chips beside the one we need
@@musiclibrary5440I wish there was more on how to use the 4.0 and 4.1 with the ps4, the 2.0++ are becoming harder and harder to get within an acceptable time frame, don’t really wanna wait a month and a half to get one from China lmao

I wish that you actually prioritized dumping the NOR Flash first to check if it can be reverted to jailbreakable firmware or not. most console technicians actually do the dumping the nor flash first before proceeding with the rest of the stuff.
So I figured out the whole issue with not being able to keep my NVG-001 PS4 Pro in Debug mode, not sure if it's just a new feature of the updated syscon tools, but when you connect to syscon tools for the first time with the Pin 15 connected, it will say debug mode enabled at the bottom, but when you dump the syscon is will say it's disabled, so me being the ballsy person I am, I saw there was an enable syscon debug mode (rewrite boot0 blocks) AND VOILA, I no longer have the pin 15 connected to B4 and it instantly connects to the syscon, do this at your own risk, and I would obviously recommend dumping the full Syscon first incase this messes something up.
Thanks! So if I got it right, you selected and started the process called "enable syscon debug mode (rewrite boot0 blocks)", and then you put the pins back on the motherboard , is that the correct order? Or you put the pins on the mobo and then started enable syscon debug mode (rewrite boot0 blocks)? Thanks!
@@vilaar9015 also you could theoretically take the original syscon dump and open wee tools and enable it that way, and then just re write the whole syscon, but this sounds riskier to me for some reason

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but all the NOR chip lines have resistors on them, so thin wires can be soldered directly to those resistors, before the traces go through the vias on the other side. Did it like that on a PS4 Pro, only to find out the Spansion chip is not supported by the tools, only Winbond and Max 😢
Incase of breaking the leg of the pin 15 why not use the method you used to fix it,don't bother lifting the leg in the first place...file away the top to expose the pin for the jumper...sometimes the way we fix things seemed to be the easiest solution in the first place my friend 👍
The purpose of lifting up pin 15 is to unbridge pin 15 & pin 16 on the motherboard, which is required in order to successfully perform the operation. If he simply filed away at the top just to expose the pin for the jumper, you would run into issues in reading/flashing the chip because you'd be basically bridging the voltage(VCC) with D4 on the Teensy.
Can you explain the step at 45:01 a little more? What does re-writing the SNVS portion of the syscon do? My console is stuck on the checkUpdError and it doesn't seem to be going away even after re-writing the syscon. Is the flash drive necessary to boot?
Man I've done microsoldering on 2 of my xbox360's. I was watching along and said, "This isn't so bad, I really think I could do this easily" Then MW proceeded to lift a leg of the syscon and I started sweating
Help! i tried 2 times to resolder the pin VDD on the chip but everytime i resolder it in the sysnand tool i CANT enter the chip into debug mode! i need every time to unsolder the pin and put a wire etc any idea?
In the diagrams there are wires for 5V and ground for the syscon but you don't wire anything to those pins in the video, do they need to be connected too?
Dear excellent video, congratulations, could you please upload to a server, the connection points for the teensy and its different plates only appear in the video.

@@albertdavis1882 ok ,but first I'll try with pyton 32bit ,I think the connection is good because the cursor is moving just nothing you can't see text
I apreciate you very much man ! Amazing work , i would never try to do it. I am great at any type of welding but i cannot solder for the life of me. Keep up the good work , it was a very interesting video to watch.
After soldering it doent starts 🎉
I had to desolder all wires from Teensy before I could boot.
😂
Sounds like you didn't wire the switch correctly or you didn't put the switch in the correct combination it won't boot with the teensy attached that's one of the main reasons for the 3 dip switch
Lmao 😂😂😂
Pour water in the usb and hdmi port then if that doesn’t work out it in ice
Thank you so much. Been looking for the newest tutorial. Going to do it to my 9.03 this week!!
Did you manage to do it?

So glad I'm already on 9.00. I wouldn't go anywhere near my PS4 with a soldering iron!
29:05 after you remove the wire you do put the pin back in hole
You put the pin back down onto the pad. As it was before you lifted it.
@@MODDEDWARFARE thx just wanted to make sure
@@MODDEDWARFARE hello mate I hope u doing well l,
so I was wondering, can I could Play online PS4 with the Jailbreak 9.00,
or there gonna be a problem.
Thank you for this tutorial, time and effort that you put into this subject
So thankful, you can't even type out a genuine thanks without copy n pasting over the same comment again and again.
This bot thirsty for likes 🤣
More work bro ,this the bes tutorial for reverting ever 🌷
Thank you for the very detailed instructions!
If somebody is able to solder a couple of wires to the MB, it's now possible to backup the chips! 👍
sadly I am unable to because I have a medical condition that makes it impossible for me to solder anything remotely precisely, like I can barely work on RC planes despite the fact that I was taught by my dad who had been doing that kind of shit for longer than I have been alive...
OMG this is the BEST tutorial!!!
Hello!
Excellent!
I'll try this to work, I have both Teensy and USB to TTL, I'm just waiting for the MCP1825S-3302E and XC6206P302MR to arrive so I can modify Teensy and we go 🙂.
I have several consoles that I know were previously under 9.00.
I hope I'll succeed, it's complicated, but I used to do something similar with the PS3 before the NOR3 flasher appeared, or as it was called, when the FAT PS3 was downgraded.
Is it worked for u?
Hello!
I haven't tried it yet, I'm waiting for some components to arrive, and I can't get there from work.
Realistically there is a lot of work involved, so I don't even know how much I would charge someone for such a service, it's more profitable for me to fix a console, laptop or whatever, than to mess with this, but I'll definitely try it for myself and see if will make it...
UPDATE: First time trying it I messed up the syscon chip, grabbed a new ps4 and was able to do it successfully.
Haven't soldered in years but just bought everything and all new equipment to start tinkering again lol! This is the 1st project I'm doing on my old ps4. Permanent install on it!
good luck can you let us know how it goes
@christophertiraallen4515 yes will do, about a 3 week wait for the 2 regulators to come in for the teensy 3 volt mod, but once everything comes in, I'll come back and give my experience.
I got extras from my try. You pay shipping their yours
@albertdavis1882 everything has came in so far just waiting for the teensy right now. Got the wires soldered onto the nor chip as well as the d5 and d2 wires. Rn working on getting the pin off on the syscon chip and then the wire for the utx that way once teensy comes in I can just hook it up
@albertdavis1882 I used a set of magnifying glasses off Amazon, a decent soldering station, 60/40 rosin solder, and lots of flux, and patience
The reality is this will not be for 70% of most people given the complexity of hardware removal and soldering@
Yeah I don’t even have the equipment to solder lol
Last night I found my silver Batman PS4 I bought a few months ago thinking about how much better it would be if I could JB it instead of regular black one, then this video dropped lol
Will this work on any firmware version. For example could I go from 11 to 9. Or it can only be reverted to the previous update os version?
What a time to be alive!
Good tutorial keep doing the good work 👍👍👍
Even though this tutorial is to hard for me
Thanks for all the effort. That is not easy but gives hope that some day we'll get it.
never clicked so fast
Thank you for this clear and concise instructions!
This wild 50 min vid nice very good tutorial
Thank you man , I appreciate your work ❤
Amazing work dude, nicely explained
@MODDEDWARFARE A few questions while I wait for my Teensy 2.0++. I have a ps4 on firmware 5.55 and was wondering if during the backup of 5.55 I could then manually update to 9.00 then make a back up of 9.00 then update to latest firmware so I can play with my mates (using 3 different SSD's for each version) is this possible? And can I switch between these firmwares? I am looking forward to your reply and anyone else who is willing to help me
since teensy 4.1 is out now , I will be using it , the good thing about it is that it works on 3.3volts on the data pins by default , so there is no need to do the 3.3v mod to it like the teensy 2++ ,
Did you do the mod with teeny 4.1 yet? If so, any tips?
Do you think there's anyway to solder an ESP8266 or something similiar to the Teensy to inject and swap between firmwares from a phone via the network and web portal created by the ESP8266? That way you can swap between firmwares without a computer.
Same question, I have a esp laying around , teensy is like 25$
Awesome work that's a lot of work😮, Thx man that helped me out, since the PS4 is not really up to date for Sony, that's a great opportunity to use MY ps4 as an allround Gamestation👍👍👍
Does the voltage mod need to be done also on the Teensy 4.0?
As I understand,if the 4.0 has a voltage below 3V than no you don't need to
But if it still has 5V or 3.5V you need
As he said it's not about the teensy it's about the PS4 itself
If you put too much voltage than It might turn on more Chips beside the one we need
@@musiclibrary5440I wish there was more on how to use the 4.0 and 4.1 with the ps4, the 2.0++ are becoming harder and harder to get within an acceptable time frame, don’t really wanna wait a month and a half to get one from China lmao
Rock and roll!!!!

Awesome! thank for for the tutorial!
wouldnt it be easier to write a 5.00 firware to downgrade ?
You cant
You would have a backup of syscon and some other chip when your ps4 was on 5.00 and it is different on every console
if i reinstalled the same firmware in the console (i changed the hard drive), is it going to have the same firmware version in both syscon slots? or the older one is still there?
Got 2 pros with 9.03, gonna try this....
Let know me, I have one too

I soldered in a couple of e3 linkers during the ps3 days but no way I am gonna try this.

Great work! But this method is much complicated I don’t think everyone can do this😕 unlike jailbreak
Hello Jailbreak Messiah ❤❤... Thanks for the video
عمل رائع تحياتي 👍
هل عمل معك؟
Sick bro, thinking of buying a PS4 soon.
EDIT: It will not be doing this after all😭
def beyond my skill level..
I wish that you actually prioritized dumping the NOR Flash first to check if it can be reverted to jailbreakable firmware or not.
most console technicians actually do the dumping the nor flash first before proceeding with the rest of the stuff.
Good advice
I've break one of my testing ps4 slim motherboards , any way 😂 im learning, thanks , wanting for another simple way to do revert more simply 🤗🤗
Thanks!
@@vilaar9015 also you could theoretically take the original syscon dump and open wee tools and enable it that way, and then just re write the whole syscon, but this sounds riskier to me for some reason
thanks for the reply!!@@Mooseguy15
Hi i have a ps4 white light problem and need advice.
So i traded a faulty xbox one original for a supposed faulty ps4 original from a person that fixes consoles that wanted the Xbox for spares.
So on the day i got home with the ps4 i used my ps3 cables to power it on and it miraculously powered on which surprised me as the controller was connected properly using the usb cable.
But i saw the screen flash black then back to the home screen which i didn't know what is was then it did it once more and was displaying perfectly.
When i plug the controller and speakers in on my ps3 super slim at the same time is says too many devices drawing power something like that.
So i think it drew too much power on the ps4 and caused a wlod on the ps4.
Im trying to do a home repair with minimal tools and if you could give me some idea of what the usb ports could have shorted eg a transistor or fuses or something.
It still powers on and everything but that was the defining factor i think that contributed to the white light of death.
Any recommendations would help as ive watched a lot of UA-cam videos and most are the ic chip or some transistor .
Its a original ps4 with wlod
Thank you so much , we hope for a simp short way to do this
Great work ! I got the required stuff and ready to run over , i’m on 9.03 but a bit hesitated , do you advise me to wait ? If 9.03 JB is coming soon !

Hi, MW ! Nice video. Just to ask in 45 min you say that you goin' to flash patched Syscon .bin again. Which .bin file you mean?
Thank you very much for the full video. I would like to know, currently my PS4 FAT is in 5.05. I would like to know if I should first update it to do like the video, or if I should do differently. thanks again
Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but all the NOR chip lines have resistors on them, so thin wires can be soldered directly to those resistors, before the traces go through the vias on the other side. Did it like that on a PS4 Pro, only to find out the Spansion chip is not supported by the tools, only Winbond and Max 😢
if you use another spi programmer tool instead of norway/spiway, you can use flashrom which will definitely be able to read that chip
I just bought a ps4 that's on 9.03. fingers crossed it has 9.0.. thank you for the tutorial
It will be 9.00 or lower as there is no firmware between 9.00 and 9.03 👍🏼

I cannot wait to give this a try
always the best, thank you bro.
Can you explain the step at 45:01 a little more? What does re-writing the SNVS portion of the syscon do? My console is stuck on the checkUpdError and it doesn't seem to be going away even after re-writing the syscon. Is the flash drive necessary to boot?
Is these working for you?
did you solve this problem?
Have you solved this problem , i stuck there !!!
Man I've done microsoldering on 2 of my xbox360's. I was watching along and said, "This isn't so bad, I really think I could do this easily"
Then MW proceeded to lift a leg of the syscon and I started sweating
Help! i tried 2 times to resolder the pin VDD on the chip but everytime i resolder it in the sysnand tool i CANT enter the chip into debug mode! i need every time to unsolder the pin and put a wire etc any idea?
In the diagrams there are wires for 5V and ground for the syscon but you don't wire anything to those pins in the video, do they need to be connected too?
Dear excellent video, congratulations, could you please upload to a server, the connection points for the teensy and its different plates only appear in the video.
What’s the price you end up spending on the requirements, with no knowledge on soldering wouldn’t it just be better to buy a new ps4 with the firmware
I wanna learn how to install this sort of stuff, as well as mod chip my switch lite. I have some old iPhones I’m thinking I can use to practice some soldering. I can tear apart a car, and I’ve built my own pc and fixed my own laptops. I’ve soldered wires in a car so now it’s time for me to finally learn this skill.
Hi, There is any update for this procedure? My Ps4 Pro is on 11.02 and if TheFlow confirm a new jailbreak to 11.00 I will need to revert it.
If that happens you should be able to use that jailbreak by reverting with this method as there are no existing versions between 11.0 and 11.02.
I have a Pro waiting in 11.02 for that jailbreak.
No update, none of the software has changed, so this is the way youll need to do it. The 11 jailbreak and HEN have been release if you aren't aware.
Wow. man you are the king of ps engineer. Excellent. Is it same process in ps4 pro ?
1) Can i use Teensy 2.00 instead of Teensy ++ 2.00 ?
2) Can i read NOR first for testing before working with Syncon ?
DLCs even installed, they are not recognized by the game, until they find a work around to enable them.
My sac001 board D2 point had no continuity to the chip, it worked once i soldered directly to syscon chip along with vcc. I noticed you have 5V and 2.5V in the same soldering point.
I couldnt get my usb ttl to work, either way revert was sucess 7.02 thanks
