I like your version much better. the movie was okay yet a lot didn't make sense, some parts felt rushed, the demons are good, then evil, then good again, other characters felt more interesting yet the main character had some issues, plus i wanted to learn more about the demon hunter janitor and the nun hell maiden. i felt their story sounded better and would have liked to see more of kat's parents and the town before the parents died and the town was destroyed. i didn't know it was based off an unfinished book, still you did a much better job and i like your idea better. keep up the good work
@@chloe8140 the interpretations of demons and their names vary. Some believe that Lucifer and Satan are two different devils. Beelzebub is also referred to as “The Lord of the Flies” (like in that book)

I wanted to like this movie so much, it has so much potential... but it looked like it was trying to tell two or three stories at the same time without deciding what was the important one or who the villains were supossed to be. Also I concur with our protagonist I get she has trust issues with authority figures but you could give her some personality apart from "girl with a chip on her shoulder", like put some old pass time that she had with her parents that shows us she is still that good person inside, not just the boom box to make a statement
Man the movie has potential but as you said it is ruined by focusing on the most insufferable character and leaving all of the interesting lore by the wayside
I'm glad this is re-uploaded, I just wanted to point out that it can be seen as an insult to call a wheelchair user handicapped, I'm not a wheelchair user though I'm autistic so I'm not sure but wanted to say just in case.
I know Tim Burton has gotten under fire and accused of racism over not wanting to make movies with black main characters if he doesn't want to, but I absolutely have violent desires anytime I hear his detractors saying "Henry Selick is like the GOOD version of Tim Burton, go watch Wendell & Wilde, it has both a black protagonist AND a queer kid!!!" ...Yeah, but... the characters and story suck...? You expect me to give it all a pass just because it has progressive elements? People are dumb. And this movie is dumb and by sucking it'll make ACTUAL racists reactionaries feel validated with their "Progressive = Bad product" clout. Next time please be progressive but also, you know, actually good.
