I forgot to mention this in my video, but I love that Ah Yi perfectly embodied everything I was feeling throughout this drama. Having her as a protagonist made me feel like my emotions and opinions were legitimate. I loved this drama, and the emotional roller coaster it took me on.
This drama has affected a lot of us. It's dark and deep and inspiring. Usually, kdramas don't affect me like this. Ji Chang Wook is the god of acting. All actors are great. I couldn't ask for more. I just didn't expect that a drama can make me cry.
The ending to this show made me cry and ball my eyes out. This show really does show you what magic truly is, which is happiness and love. Which is what the magician gave ah yi and Na II-Deung. He made Na II-Deung realize that he needed to go on the path that makes him happy and not his parents. He made ah yi experience the magic of happiness and joy, which is exactly what she needed in her life. All her life she has been in sadness and struggled with her financial situation and her dad not being the greatest father that she felt she didn’t have time to feel happy or have fun, and the fact that the magician showed her that not everything has to be sad and you can still be happy makes it even more magical. Not only does the magic in this show make you feel like your running through flowers with rainbows all around, but the meaning and the message behind it makes even more magical and emotional. My face was covered in tears, because I didn’t want the magic to be over. But I’m happy that ah yi is doing better now and I was so sad when having to say goodbye to the magician. Because he has done so much for ah yi and Na II-deung that it’s hard to say goodbye. This just goes to show that magic isn’t always just tricks, it can be a feeling rather than a sight. Agh I love this show so much! I was tearing up at the end with you lol 😂
@@KahlaMonique same, also when the old shop owner came back, like by the way he was treating that ah yi, why would they trust anything he says. I sure as heck wouldn’t lol. But for real, poor magician, first he gets trespassed by that bully who just barges in without permission and breaks his stuff, then the killer came into his house to steal his clothing and the magician gets recorded trying to get that killer to get out, then his only family Bella dies, then he gets interrogated? Man he has so much going on, also when he tried to choke the bully, I’m not gonna lie I was kinda like, “well you had it coming girl, I mean you’ve been barging in his house nonstop without his consent and breaking his stuff. You tested his patience.” Honestly when they first came on breaking his stuff, I could see in his eyes that he was trying to control and hold back his anger and frustration. I mean I would have probably done the same thing if she kept doing that to me everyday, just out of pure fuel of frustration, like I don’t blame the magician for getting so mad at her. At least when ah yi was in there without permission she was actually asking if anyone was living there and she stayed out of there unless she was invited, whereas the bully was totally uninvited and just barged in.
I love this series so much. It was beautifully done. It had depth. And life lessons sprinkled all throughout the 6 episodes. The music and songs were amazing. The actors were incredible storytellers. I love it so much. This drama came to me when I needed it. I was struggling with different things. This made me cry, and believe that magic still exists, and if someone believes in you, everything will be okay.
Loved your reaction. I admit unlike you and the other 2 main characters, I had some capacity doubted Sir Magic Man, but deep down I hope that he didn't do what others accuse him of doing. Honestly, I’m surprised that I believed him. I think it was the knowledge that Ah Yi’s former boss was back that made me doubt, but the writing was so good that I don’t blame anyone for questioning him.
One of the things that I always really loved about this story, is that question: Do you believe in magic? It constantly goes back and forth to make you wonder whether or not the magic is "real". The webtoon ended similarly in that way of having something so magical, it couldn't possibly be explained. In this case, it was the camera that chose to work at just the right moment. I always always loved how it kept you in that limbo, and asks that question. Because it's up to you to decide. Love this story tremendously, glad it gets to spread to even more people through this drama's release. Lovely reaction
Ji Changwook is one my favorite actors also. I couldn't wait for Sound of Magic and was so pleased. So glad Ji decided to do something different from action, romance, or comedy. This crime mystery , young adult family issues, mean girl bully, mental illness musical was so different. I don't think any of the other highly ranked Kdrama actors could have pulled it off. I loved your nickname, Sir Magic Man ! His storyline was sad for me in that he will always be odd person outside of society. That person that may need protection from society. Ji's singing, dancing and acting performances were on point! Yoon Ah Yi , Hwang In Yeop, and the bully really carried much of the story. They were great. The young sister to Yoon's character was wonderful. So manny talented cast members. I was in a state of suspense until the last episode when the story lines were brought together. I loved the visuals, music, storylines, pace of the story and cast. Loved the special magic scenes and the symbolism. I enjoyed seeing your reactions. I had many of the same reactions and questions. The cast really is wonderful as a whole. I don’t think this story would have been the same if it were a different cast. I’m also glad to see Ji Chang Wook showcase a level of vulnerability that I haven’t seen in his previous roles. It was so beautiful.

I really wasn’t expecting to cry as much as I did. This drama was way more than the fun musical that I thought it would be.

I cried so hard when he started crying over his sick bird 😭 no matter how many times I re-watched it I still cried everytime.
