We need some events like this in VA and 80+ cars on the dyno in 8hrs is insane...congrats to Mullet he should have brought the lambo also.
The one factor people seem to be forgetting, on account of the lower than expected figures, is wear and tear on the dyno itself. The rollers and the provided resistance will wear away slightly over time, especially with such high hp cars tearing the rollers a new asshole so often. Dynos need to be regularly serviced and maintained to keep the numbers as accurate as they can be.

Their dyno has to be inaccurate. I highly doubt that many people were gassing up their cars and not making their HP. It was pretty much every single person. The guy that dyno'd his truck the day before even dropped HP. Besides all that. Video was pretty dope.. Gotta love dyno's!!!

This contest should start with a dyno certification performed. Great cars odd that so many under estimated their results. But at the end of the day they all used the same Dyno so all was fair. Except for the big guy in the trunk traction adders.Great coverage. THX

Everybody has something bad to say about the Honda not making that much power as if you haven't seen other videos of it bussing plenty off Ass at the track & making over 800 on the dyno. Give him a break he knows his car & he is featured on a 1320 video plenty of times. That's an accomplishment by itself.

Does everyone have to sign a waiver to stand right next to the cars? Seems like a huge liability if a flywheel or any drivetrain component were to let loose and throw chunks of metal everywhere. Some sweet rides too btw!

The cars are really fast but how come they dynoed so much lower than their usual/estimated HP?
Either the dyno isn't calibrated right or more than likely they were talking up their cars.
they do the engine power and not the wheel power so they can loose anywhere from 300hp in the driveline of the car
For some reason the dyne's at Hennessey always read low during TX2K

When that guy with the blue corvette said about 650 did he mean to the wheels or the crank. So would that make 580 the same as 650, because he was talking about the crank before he dyno'd.

A lot depends on the transmission how heavy the rears are if its a lock up stall or non lock up stall. I have seen 550whp cars run 9's and 650whp cars struggle to break 10's.
doubletapm4 Yeah everybody is off almost the same amount....you really think the all just happened to add 150-200 hp to what it actually makes? If it was one or two people, fine they probably are exaggerating but all the numbers were consistently off. Also different dynos, read different, plus weather changes play a big part in dyno numbers. I doubt they're all lying to impress some dorks on UA-cam who drive momma's minivan.

I don't know too much about cars, let alone tuning cars, but I find it kind of funny that these guys say they've gotten higher numbers and expect higher numbers, but usually come up short. Like I said though, I don't have much room to talk because I don't know much about tuning (although I am trying to learn), but I'm just calling it from what they say.
It's because every dyno reads a bit different, and it's obvious this one in particular was reading really low. These guys giving estimates are from dyno testing they did on their own dynos. It's not just pulling a number out of their ass.

What a shame,big v10's and big v8's cannot out dyno a line 6 motor.This video made me see why EURO tuners are way above USA tuners.Alot of them have big tuned motors and don't have the drivetrain tuned to back up their power.Alot of them must go back to the drawing board.

Alot of these dudes padded their horsepower by about 150ish. Kinda funny how noone say it was gonna b 150 lower than it actually put down.
