Well india is not that country where you want to start your visual fx or any other thing, they make you study shit stuff and old techniques. TBH I've learnt from UA-cam then I did from my classes especially photoshop.

Can't believe this is 5 years ago. I watched this video in my early day when I started Blender. I miss this channel being my go to place to get inspired from about VFX.
wow dude, you're a grinder. this is probably the most interesting cinema 4d tutorial channel on youtube just because of how real your story is. the rest of us in the first world shouldn't ever complain about not having enough to get better, we just need the motivation to work hard.

Hey Andrey, I really like that you are not a "story teller". You are talking to us in an authentic and realistic way. The funny thing is I already wanted to close this video due to this typical american/blockbuster intro everybody does nowadays. Lucky me I kept watching ^^. People like you remembering us that there is a real world behind all this content and that most of the people really work hard to gain success. And most of them sacrifice a lot - and by success I do not mean earning millions ;-). I am happy for you that you made your way in this industry. Whatever you are doing in the future - keep it real and you will be successful in your own special way.
I think he's best at story telling (which is good, since that's a big part of his job), he just has a genuine story to tell :-D.

Hi Andrey, I don't even work with VFX stuff (work as a studio sound engineer/occasional video maker), but love your videos! Because you learned everything by yourself, you are able to explain complex concepts and ideas in a very common fashion, which is great! It's just pleasant to watch and learn new stuff from you. I'm from Klaipeda, Lithuania, not so far away! Moved to London for work as well in 2012.. It's quite amusing that you exist, somewhere, around here in the same city (Maybe even same area? West London?) and not in some semi-fictional youtube world... keep up the good stuff!

For the majority of the past recent years, I've focused on music production and sounds. But I've always felt like I want to be a creator. I dance too. And I felt that the last puzzle piece I needed were visual effects. I stumbled on your channel about a couple of days ago and I have to say. You deserve way more subscribers than you have. You produce premium content. People like you are part of what gives me motivation. Thank you for spreading the positivity of doing it yourself against all odds.

Thank you! I am from Poland, even worse - from a small town in south-eastern Poland. I realized that there is no way here, thank you for inspiration. It's harder for me to leave this place because I have 4 young children, but I hope it is possible and the limitations are in our mind.

You don't need to delete all of them, find the specific files in the registry and restart them to 0 or delete them and reinstall.

Now I am at the beginning of my journey,trying to find a job in this industry. I am an avarage person, not broke but I do not come into a wealth family either. Unlike you, I live in a country where the opportunity is behind the corner but, to get there, you have to deal with number of factors: social skills(very hard if you are introvert),recommended people,less positions,experiences,age,timing and many more but your skills(atleast where I live).luckly I came across in your video, and made me realize that it is not impossibile!Perhaps, I just need to push more and keep going or just move in UK where maybe,my life will change.We will see...by the way, thank you for this 9 mins of motivation!Your content is not just amazing but really useful too.

Andrey thank you so much for this, I've been struggling intensely with pursuing my passion. Currently working a 9 to 5 job but right after I get home, I fire up my PC and start honing my skills in 3D modeling and VFX. It is not always easy, and there are times where I feel completely demotivated but thanks to videos like yours, I've had the much needed fuel to persevere. Thank You.
PS: a great video of interest would be on how you got your first freelance job and how aspiring artists can market themselves. I think I am at a point where I could do professional work but I have no idea on how to go about. Either way, God bless you!

I saw the video about your heritage, country and life. I was a breath of fresh air. I am also a immigrant, i also moved because of political and social-economical reasons in my country, and i am also trying to improve myself, my work, and life so i can contribute more with others around me.
When the negativity from the internet hit you, remember me and the huge amount of introspects that did't write to you, but feel the same way.
Your dedication and work are inspiring, but through your videos we can see that this is just a part of your life.

i'm in some situations like yours but i will keep going and i will do what i want ... i will come to uk one day and i will visit you there. too , again thanks for the motivation you are the best.
Man...you are a true inspiration for me, and I believe thousands of other people have the same thoughts now. It may sound "cheesy"...but it's true : it doesn't matter where you came from, how much money you have...it's not even about talent. In the end the only thing what matters is how brave you are..how much courage you have to use your imagination, to be able to project that world what's inside you. Through motion&sound design, CG and VFX you can tell stories in the most beautiful creative way. Creating...that's one of the most exciting things in life! I have so much more to learn, I always wanted to make my own short films, animations, to put all those ideas what's inside my head on the screen, but I always thought that I am "not smart enough" for that, or that it takes dozens or hundreds of people to create something amazing. But then I realized...I just have to start somewhere, making the first tiny steps. So a few years ago I learned how to use photoshop, getting better at photography, using my drawing skills to create digital artworks...then I took my 2nd step, to learn how to animate things in 2D space, how to edit videos and be more and more creative...And this year I started learning about rotoscoping, keying, color grading, compositing, and I feel like now I am ready to "discover" the virtual 3D world as well....endless possibilities, and endless things to learn about!
I feel like I'm still on a long journey in this never ending road of creating and learning, and it makes me happy when I find people who are already much further ahead on this road, and he can show me the path to get to higher levels even faster, and making me understand things I didn't know before.
So thank you Andrey for making these videos, I have great respect for you!
