Great! Ive drove it back to Cali. Then took it on another road trip from Cali to WA then to TX then back to Cali. No issues at all! Ive got over 200k on it now.
Great info, Thank you, quick question. I have a Ford Ranger 1993 v6 3.0 4x4 XLT and the shop is cleaning the heads and valves, however, the head gasket has all four holes on each end opened, is that because is for FWD and not for RWD? The shop says it should have one open and one close on the head gasket and should say Left or Right, but I read if is for FWD they are the same with front and back holes open, is that correct? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Is the torque spec for the head and lower manifold accurate for a 2001 ford ranger 3.0? I’m stage 2 for the head bolts and it comes completely loose I’m nervous about the torque
Hi iv got ford capri mk1 3.0 v6 just had head the cylinder heads done decoke and relep Vales and stem I went to pick the car up from work shop they said it ant ready yet but averything has been fitted why his the mechanic starting the engine then tightening head bolts he said run it till gets hot so the gaskets would settle in and then tighten head a gate and he done that for a few days now and said pick the car up on Friday is this a joke need some advice please thanks

Yes it should be the same. What do you mean completely loose? Like stripped?
Hello i saw this video twice but my first question is, how long did it take you to do everything?
2 days. However I started mid day on the first day & there were some delays where I had to pick things up from the store.

I am not sure with their method. I followed the Ford Shop Manual method when it came to tightening the heads.
