Why aren’t penalties more severe for traffickers? Seriously, there’s people doing far more time for weed possession. What these people do is far more revolting.

There's always been a demand for prostitutes and sexual services. This is nothing new. For most clients they aren't seeking under age minors. They're seeking young women to have a good time. It just happens to be that some of these young minors are trafficked and clients don't ask these questions. The whole thing is illegal in the states and everyone wants to try and do the transaction and get away from the crime as soon as possible. Obviously there are those clients who are seeking underage exclusively and there are people willing to provide this service and unfortunately there isn't a way to clean any of this up since it is all done in the criminal underworld.

it's truly the audacity and the disgrace of the city of San Diego to act like this has not been going on for multiple decades. When I was a young teenage girl on the streets of San Diego there's no telling you the horrible things that I've seen and been through I despise San Diego as a whole because I grew up there, and I know how corrupt it is. There's a lot of things that go on behind closed doors that you have no idea, and a lot of it involves people that work for the city and the government, the government.

Bro I never even talked to boys until 18, and when I did my parents had to meet the guy! I was only allowed to go to school and come home, I can only have friends over, under my parents supervision, if I go over someone’s house their mom would have to call my mom to confirm she’ll be home, I wasn’t allowed if it’s a dad or brother watching us. And my parents usually meet my best friends parents who I hangout with the most. I was never allowed to spend the night anywhere, not even school camping trips.
I was micro managed as a minor but I’m so grateful for that because I don’t have some of the trauma some girls I’ve heard horror stories from. I stayed a virgin till my mid 20’s.
I think parents need to do a better job taking care of their kids tbh. Otherwise close your legs if you don’t know how to protect an innocent kid bro! We have enough broken ppl in this world. Y’all keep reproducing and you’re not even able to take care of yourselves.

As an adult I can understand the situations I’m in and draw boundaries. At 14 I would not be able to do that. There is a reason you have to be 18 to even do my job and enter my place of employment. I can tell you from experience as an on going victim for over 20 years along with several minors in the family, corruption plays an insidious role in this. There are gang members that also work as police officers. On top of that, corrupt lawyers and members of the judicial system.
Whenever a victim tries to come forward, these criminals know how to utilize and manipulate the law in their favour. Most of the time, all they have to do is just deny "the claims and allegations ". There are also politicians that profit off of this.

I was in San Diego this year on my 1st ever solo trip for a convention. I was meeting friends there, but they basically ditched me. I felt so afraid walking that I had my phone recording in case I was jumped, robbed, murdered, etc. I didn't even think about trafficking. I didn't know the bad streets to avoid and the street I ended up walking down was completely lined with homeless people. They kept getting up when I was near them and trying to walk next to me. I ran as fast as I could and freaking sobbed and had a panic attack when I got back to my hotel room. If I hadn't been ditched, I could have had a ride back to my hotel or had others walking with me, I was so ticked off at them for ditching me.
Also, I agree they do try to, unfortunately, hang out in cooperative games. I met someone playing League of Legends who was "really nice, and trying to give me pointers to improve my gameplay." They asked me to join their team and I stupidly did. We used voice chat on Discord to strategize during the games which I thought nothing of. Everyone does it and it's easier for me to communicate that way then to stop every 2 seconds to type in the in-game chat area. I swear every time I stop to write a message to teammates I get killed by the other team. he asked me when I was and I just said the US, he creepily asked what state and I of course lied.
Anyway, as soon as they found out I was a girl, he instantly started calling me "his girlfriend." Another member of their team joined and it was another girl. I found out that all of his teammates are girls and he's the only guy so he called all of them his girlfriends as well. They started saying I should visit and that they were overseas and I hung up so freaking fast. I was terrified they were going to track me down so I left their team in League, changed all of my internet handles, and instantly made my own League with friends I know in real life. So that next time someone asks me to join their team I can just say I have one already. I haven't even played the game since that happened. Because I'm freaked out to play with strangers and not my IRL friends. They hardly are on anymore though. So I just haven't played at all. I logged on once to check out what character skins they had but I just immediately logged off afterward. I wish you could turn in-game chat off of some games.
Don't trust anyone, even if they are "friends."

As a man I would not walk near the unhoused or whatever the politically correct term is for them. I would also have my hand in my pocket so I could be holding something. Next stop playing league of legends, we need to get you into Cyberpunk 2077. The first person view reconditions your mind. Starfield is also good if your not ready for the neuraljack of Cyberpunk. I mean in that street I'll intentionally miss just to clean society up a bit you know what I'm saying. You could have done the world a great deal that day as you were cleared legally when they walked up to you.

I've luckily taken martial arts when I was younger so I at least know where to aim if I'm ever in trouble. And I'm initially from New York so I learned a lot from being there, and from family members who were in law enforcement, security, the military, etc. I know you can't show them you're scared either, so luckily I was pissed at my "friends" because that helped me easily put a "don't eff with me" face on while walking.
And I will definitely check out those games I think I have Cyberpunk 2077 in my wishlist lol But I'll double-check and add all of those recommendations 😂

@@zerocal76 Because I was literally broke, I spent well over $700 to get there. On the hotel, unexpected vehicle repairs before the trip because I had to drive to San Diego from a different state, etc. The convention was 3 days long, and I received the ticket for the event like a week before the convention took place. My friend bought the ticket but had to cancel for family issues so it was given to me.
I barely had enough for the hotel which they discounted for me because it ended up being more than what I was told over the phone. And I didn't even have enough money for food. I literally had a brownie and a coffee cake I had to ration for 4 days while there. The trip overall was a complete nightmare for me.
I had to message friends and one luckily sent me money because I ran out of gas on the way home after the trip. I was stranded about an hour and a half away from my house.
The friends I was meeting there I literally only saw for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half or so the entire time I was there. To say that trip was horrendous was an understatement. I wish they just told me they didn't actually want me there like they were originally pretending. Because I would have saved myself the hassle and not even gone in the first place.
